Situated in the tourist resort of Puerto Rico, this wonderful hotel is just 250 m from the marvellous beach and links to the public transport network. There are a host of shops, boutiques, bars, restaurants, cafés as well as a pulsing nightlife located in the surrounding area. The airport is about 30 minutes drive away. This hotel greets visitors with elegant décor, attentive service and welcoming atmosphere. Travellers may totally unwind in cosy and completely furnished rooms with convenient amenities. The swimming pool and paddling pool are waiting for great splashing moments. The youngest ones may let off steam at the playground while adults lounge with a refreshing drink at the poolside bar or soak up the sun of the sun terrace.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We stayed here for 9 nights. Stayed in a Superior apartment on the 4th floor, air con is included in a Superior apartment so book one if possible and not much price difference. The apartment was lovely, so clean and with the best views over the sea. We had a microwave, 2 ring hob, kettle and toaster which was adequate.
All of the staff were really friendly and helpful, receptionists always happy to help with queries or book you a taxi, cleaners and bar staff really friendly too. Pool is quite small with not many beds, selfish people do creep down and put multiple towels on beds and then disappear for hours, however we could always get a bed when we wanted one.
Location is great, short 15 minute walk to commercial centre full of restaurants and bars. Beach is a 10 minute stroll down the hill. Sunbeds cost 3.5 euros to hire for the day.
We got a taxi and did a shop at the Hyperdino at Mogan Mall which was much cheaper than the small shop over the road, taxi was about 5 euros each way. Mogan Mall is a lovely new shopping centre, don't miss the fountain light and music show at Mogan Mall on Friday and Sat nights at 9.30. We found it very reasonable to eat out at the Commercial centre, for 3 of us our meals averaged 50-60 euros.
The bus station is about a 10 minute walk which is handy to get a bus to different resorts, we went to Arguinegan for Tues market, only about 10/15 mins on bus, cost 1.5 euros each way. Don't miss a visit to Puerto De Mogan, bus there was about 30 mins but cost the same I think, we got boat back from harbour which was 8 euros each. Such a lovely pretty town, market day on Fri.
Would recommend staying here!
The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned every day except Sundays. It was spotlessly clean. Views from the room are lovely overlooking the sea. Location was fine. We got the hotel to call us taxis a few times rather than doing the walk to the commercial centre or ports. It was about €4 and money well spent. The pool area was clean, but be advised to guarantee a lounger you need to get down early. They also don't allow any type of pool floaties/rubber rings etc in the pool and are very strict on this. Overall the hotel was great. Yes we would return and recommend.
Very clean apartment, close to the beach. Rooms cleaned 5 days out of 7. Reception staff and all staff very polite. Will recommend.
My husband and I have just returned from 13 nights here, the hotel is very clean, the staff went over and above to help and are all very friendly, location is good with easy access to the beach, restaurants and shops , if we go back to grand canaria, we would definitely stay here again,
We love the location of these apartments and have returned numerous times as have wider family, more so for the level of service you get from it being a family ran hotel. All staff from check-in to check-out are professional, friendly and work so very hard.
Coming out of the back gate you have the CC to the left, and also a shortcut down to the beach if you can't manage the stairs further along, with an array of bars/restaurants down there too for ease.
Pool Bar is great, as is the food quality and prices are very reasonable, happy hour 4-5pm, then 10-midnight, also themed nights too (tapas, burger, steak, BBQ etc), and big screens which they'll put on if they have the channel you want Extra shout out from us to Stacey, she is a credit to the team and such a lovely person to meet.
Pool area was the busiest we've ever seen it, however we aren't ones to lie in the sun all day so was perfect for a cool off and we could always find somewhere to sit, if you do want a bed though, pool opens at 9am so you don't need to be up at sunrise (it says no reserving beds but it's always going to happen). Lifeguards great and very attentive.
Stayed in both standard & superior rooms, the main difference being that you will pay for air-con in a standard room, also air-con is not in the bedrooms but we managed fine and it was a heatwave at the time. Everything you need utensil wise and cleaned regularly by housekeeping.
My only one slight negative is the noise the housekeeping team makes, that being side I think it was more the location of our room as we have always been allocated directly on the lifts/stairs so they are moving the trolleys in/out from early morning, things banging against our door from the trolley and generally shouting up/down the corridor to each other, sunday was lovely and peaceful on no cleaning day.
Hyperdino outside the back of the hotel well stocked and reception also have a good selection of chilled drinks/ice creams etc, you can also get a 5 litre water from the seating area behind reception to save carrying from shops.
All in all we can't really fault these apartments and will be returning soon
