Me and my partner visited Playa Bonita for 5 days for the first time and honestly had one of the best experiences. The range of food at the buffet was perfect for picky eaters and people who enjoy everything. The room was spacious and clean. Fresh towels everyday. The entertainment and activities during the day were great! Not just for kids but for adults too! The Animation team were so welcoming, friendly always stopping for chats and encouraging you to join in! Also the staff members were very lovely too! Definitely recommend staying here! Only a 5 minute walk from the beach and shops too! We will be back again :)
Honestly this hotel passed expectations.
We were really lucky and got a room on the ground floor right by the pool. The room is massive and kept exceptionally clean by the maids.
I am a cealiac and i was incredibly impressed by the resraurant. They offered to make me seperate food gluten free but i chose to eat the food already prepared. Breakfast fully seperate section, lunch and dinner i just made sure i got there first and checked the signs. No problems and a big selection, fish, meat, paella, salad etc.
Adult area was amazing with the hot tub.
Biggest plus though has to be the staff, they are honestly a massive asset for the hotel. Friendly, approachable, efficent. Couldn't fault the service.
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Servatur Playa Bonita and wouldn't hesitate to return! From the moment we arrived, every member of staff made us feel so welcome, and the level of customer service throughout the hotel was outstanding. The food was excellent throughout our stay, with a great variety of options for both adults and children. While some dishes were repeated during the week, everything was consistently fresh, tasty and of a really good quality, so there was always something to enjoy. The restaurant staff were great and were always friendly, attentive and happy to help. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped, with excellent air conditioning that was very welcome in the heat. The housekeeping team did a fantastic job, cleaning the room every day and changing the towels daily. They were always friendly, polite and worked incredibly hard. The animation team truly made our holiday extra special. They were absolutely amazing with the children, creating such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Our child looked forward to the mini disco every single evening and had the best time joining in. The evening entertainment was always enjoyable and varied, with something for everyone. If we arrived early enough, we could easily get a table, but on busier nights we were just as happy relaxing on the sun loungers in the garden while our child played nearby and we enjoyed the music and entertainment. The pool was lovely and surprisingly spacious, so it never felt overcrowded even when the hotel was busy. As with many popular hotels, there was an early morning rush for the poolside sunbeds, but we actually preferred the loungers on the artificial grass. They were much more relaxed, gave our child plenty of space to play safely, and were conveniently close to the children's play area and mini club, making them the perfect spot for our family. The location couldn't have been better. It's only about a five-minute walk to a beautiful beach and within easy walking distance of plenty of shops and supermarkets. We also really enjoyed visiting the local craft market, which takes place on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The reception staff were always friendly and knowledgeable, offering excellent advice on local transport and recommendations for days out around the island. Overall, Servatur Playa Bonita exceeded our expectations in every way. The wonderful staff, fantastic entertainment, excellent food, comfortable accommodation and brilliant location combined to create a truly memorable family holiday. We left with so many happy memories and would happily recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a fun, friendly and relaxing stay in Gran Canaria. We can't wait to come back!
Stayed here with my 2 boys for a week. The hotel is clean and the rooms are decent. The cleaners however want to enter the room at 8/8.30 in the morning. If you don’t want this make sure you put the do not disturb thing on the door.
The pool is small but it was enough for us. The issue is ‘sunbed wars’ as I was travelling alone with my 2 young boys I had to be around the pool to keep an eye on them. I kid you not at 5.30am sunbeds have towels on. This made me become someone I always didn’t want to be. A person who is up early to get a bed. You even had people around the pool in the day who didn’t even go in the pool. Inflatables are allowed in the pool but no balls.
Food was a bit hit and miss. Didn’t think the variety was up to much but could always go out for dinner if budget allowed.
Overall it was a decent well within budget holiday, just a few minor issues
Excellent week's stay with a family of 5 (kids ages 18, 16, and 11). We will definitely return!
The Positives:
Location & Area: Excellent location from the airport with a very short transfer. The beach is only a 10-minute walk away, and there is an excellent open-air market just outside the hotel every Wednesday and Saturday!
Hotel & Staff: The hotel was beautiful and spotlessly clean. All of the staff were extremely hardworking and constantly cleaning and tidying around the hotel, as well as very friendly and welcoming.
Rooms: Spacious and very clean, with daily maid service and fresh towels. (Tip: Maids arrive very early, so use your DND sign if you want them to come later!)
Food: Outstanding choice and quality—anyone who says otherwise can never be pleased. The kids loved the chocolate fountain, Nutella at breakfast, and the ice cream machine. The chefs were welcoming and always said hello.
Pool Area: The pool area gets very busy, and people do reserve beds early. However, just around the corner is a grass area with plenty of beds that don't need to be reserved, where beds were available all day just seconds from the pool.
Areas for Improvement:
Restaurant Hygiene: The flies in the restaurant were everywhere—on the tables, chairs, and flying around the food. While it's a hot country and flies are expected, there were no fly catchers or deterrents, which was quite surprising.
Pool Maintenance: The pool was great, but I did not once see anyone clean it, and there was debris at the bottom the entire time.
Drinks: The all-inclusive drinks were very standard, and the cocktails were rubbish (like kids' non-alcoholic fruit juices). The pink and white Cava was good at night, but too heavy for the daytime heat, so we ended up buying wine at the local supermarket.
Evening Entertainment: The schedule needs work. The kids' mini-disco was rubbish (only a few songs) and too short, running from 8:45 PM to 9:00 PM after arriving from dinner around 8:15 PM. The main entertainment was only on from 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM, after which the animation team would pack up and leave. There were lots of awkward gaps and sitting around with drinks until 11:00 PM with no music or entertainment was very disappointing.
Overall, the pros definitely outweigh the cons. We came for the food (having two hungry teenage boys!), and this wouldn't stop us from returning. Great hotel for the price we paid—I even cried when we left! 10/10, thanks Servatur."
