This wonderful complex, surrounded by the natural landscape and the spectacular view of the sea of Playa del Ingles, is the perfect hotel for those vacationers who are looking for the balance between beauty and simplicity. It has an area of outdoor pool where guests can enjoy a wonderful sunbath in the sun loungers on the shore, or simply cool off in its always mild climate, surrounded by palm trees and green areas. The restaurant offers delicious food suitable for any age and very diverse, while to enjoy the nightlife the bar is available with its drinks menu. The rooms have a balcony to enjoy the paradisiacal views and are equipped with everything necessary to have a pleasant stay. Nearby is the town, where you can find shops, bars and restaurants to get to know the culture and make purchases and, just 40 minutes from the hotel, is the Gran Canaria airport.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Hotel is very dated. Splash park is good but family pool isnt very family friendly and very deep for little ones. The food is very limited for all inclusive and doesnt taste the best, you have to pay for food at pool side at splash pool which is strange. Drinks are limited and tiny ice cream yoghurt sized pots only . No air con or wifi unless you pay for both. Or can rent fans. Absolutely bewildering this day and age. Wouldn’t recommend it here . Needs a total revamp. Feel ripped off for all inclusive .
We booked holiday with a small budget so expectation was low. It has three lovely pools and water play that my kids loved. The rooms were lovely and clean. It was busy at the kids pool but the other pools were quiet and kids still could play. The food was lovely and again great value for the price. Not all rooms had aircon but it could be purchased with ease.
The best things about this hotel are the location and the pools. I booked a week holiday here with my family primarily due to how good the kids pool looked, and I wasnt let down. The Splash zone is great and the kids can play there everyday without getting bored. We had a balcony room overlooking the back of the hotel, which worked out great as the front of the hotel is especially loud at night due to being right across the street from the Irish centre of pubs. Unfortunately, the rooms aren't the best. You have a room with 2 singles and then a couch which folds out to become another bed. All of these are very uncomfortable and you wont get a good night's sleep here. There is also NO AC in the hotel, you are given an ancient useless fan which hasn't been cleaned in years and just blows dust around the room anytime you have it on. Housekeeping came twice during my 7 night stay, despite leaving the 'make up my room' sign on the door. And, if you ask for towels or sheets at reception they groan and sigh before saying its not possible and you have to ask the cleaners. You then ask the cleaners and they tell you its not possible so you are left without. The majority of staff need a serious attitude adjustment as it seems they cant be bothered being here. There was a lifeguard on duty 1 day out of the 7 we were here also. The food at the hotel buffet is okay. The staff here were the friendliest in the hotel, they were efficient and always happy to help. You have the same options for breakfast every day but they do mix it up daily for dinner, we never had lunch in the hotel.
Location wise the hotel is brilliant, 5 mins from the beach and direct links close by via bus into Puerto Rico and the parks here. Its a shame it is let down so much by the rude hotel staff and the rooms being in dire need of upgrade! Loved our time in Gran Canaria, but sadly wont be back to Jardin del Atlantico unless these changes happen.
The hotel was very basic. It had 4 pools - 2 adults pools, a splash pool for little ones and a family pool. We stayed near the family pool. It was deep all round but had no signal to say so and you weren't allowed any type of floats, not even a small ball that a few teens were passing between them. It was clean but old ( so the cracks were showing) and the cleaners were great. We had a ground floor room with terrace so we had our own sun loungers and walked straight out to the pool which was fantastic. People should note that there are residents in the hotel so sometimes a lot of families coming and going - we had no problems with them. We didn't eat at the hotel as we were self catering so can't comment on that.
There was plenty of shops and bars right outside the hotel and a large market directly across the road twice a week - Wednesday and Saturday which was really good and very busy.
We found Lady Pink restaurant just round the corner was very good for breakfast and Yankys just a bit further down for lunch/dinner but there are plenty to choose from!
It was about 10/15 minutes walk to the beach and plenty on shops and restaurants/bars.
Do not book this property, and do not trust TUI to look after you if things go wrong. What was supposed to be a relaxing package holiday turned into a living nightmare from day one.Upon checking in, we discovered a severe cockroach infestation inside our accommodation. Pests were literally emerging from the bathtub. This isn't just a "local climate bug"—the infestation is structural and building-wide, with cockroaches found all the way up on the 4th floor. When we refused to stay in these unhygienic conditions, the property management offered us a ground-floor room, which is an unacceptable alternative for a ground-up pest outbreak. The treatment we received from TUI was absolutely appalling. We were subjected to continuous delay tactics for over 24 hours. Front-line app agents repeatedly tried to illegally charge us a "voluntary amendment fee" just to escape a statutory health hazard. We were passed between multiple staff members (Paul, Adham, Kenny, Matthew) who did absolutely nothing but stall. At one point, we were told to sit in the reception lobby all day to wait for a 4:00 PM visiting representative. When the rep finally arrived, they explicitly looked us in the eye and stated: "Once you are in resort, TUI won't do anything." To make matters worse, TUI promised an emergency deep clean, which never happened, and instead insulted us by leaving a chemical spray can for us to treat the room ourselves. On top of the severe hygiene failure, the property actively breached our contracted booking terms. We paid for a full All-Inclusive package, yet the hotel pool bar refused to provide snacks and demanded extra out-of-pocket cash payments. TUI completely failed its legal Duty of Care under the Package Travel Regulations 2018. They left an exhausted, highly distressed customer stranded poolside and in a lobby for over 24 hours, unable to safely shower or use the toilet without fear. This case has been formally logged as an emergency dispute with ABTA. TUI has taken our money and completely abandoned us in an unsafe, unhygienic environment. Avoid this property and avoid TUI package holidays at all costs. Rating if I could give it 0/10.
