This beach hotel enjoys an ideal setting on the warm, friendly island of Gran Canaria. The hotel is located just 900 metres from the beach yet is also centrally situated at the heart of the entertainment. The Aguila Roja shopping centre is a mere 100 metres from the hotel, while the Kasbah shopping centre is just 300 metres away. The property offers ease of access to the public transport network with links located just 300 metres away. The airport can be reached within a 20-minute car ride. The guest rooms are beautifully decorated featuring neutral and muted tones, offering a haven of comfort and convenience. The hotel lies peacefully amidst pleasant gardens and greets guests with an air of warmth and serenity. Guests can spend the day by the pool or having a refreshing swim.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Just finished our 2nd holiday here in consecutive years, and we’ve had a lovely time on both occasions. We’ve even booked for next year!
Lovely members of evening bar staff including Yudith & Kathleen, as well as all staff at pool bar.
Our daughter attended kids club every day and was well looked after & entertained by Sophie, Janina & friends.
Can’t wait for next year!!
Hotel was ok, clean enough however our bedding was never changed just made. There was a cockroach in the hotel lobby on our leaving date. Food was varied however didn't change much so by the end of our week it was extremely repetitive. The soda machine was always closed off at evening meal so we had to queue up at the small bar in the restaurant every night just to get a Pepsi which was frustrating. My 2 year old caught a virus from the pool which ended up in us going to the hospital to get medication. We found the children's pool to be very small and far away from the actual hotel. Overall the hotel was nice just a very bad layout. Our room meant we needed 2 different lifts to take us from our room to the restaurant which having 2 young kids was a bit of a pain. The location was good and there were a lot of taxis about. It was nice to have the market just down the road on a Wednesday and Saturday. Entertainment team were good and staff were friendly. Overall an ok stay but won't be returning.
The location was perfect, I did pay for a pool view and the view was beautiful. Our rooms were cleaned and tidied to a high standard daily. The staff who cleaned our rooms were so polite and greeted us whenever we walked past. The hotel is based in the perfect location with a short walk to the Beach and shops, there is also shops, a gym and a salon on site which is brilliant!
The noise level was perfect. Music around one of the pools during the day, music and entertainment on the evening for adults and children.
The service we have received has been brilliant from start to finish. This is our second time stopping in Abora Buenaventura and we were welcomed back like it was home, the lady at the desk was brilliant. This shows to us the staff value returning customers. When we have had any questions the staff at the reception were polite and welcoming. Their English has been great and they’ve been more than happy to help. When going to the restaurant, we were greeted by Eva who was really polite and friendly. Such a lovely lady with a welcoming presence. The staff in the restaurant are quick and efficient at clearing tables off, they are polite and walk around with really beautiful smiles, often talking to us about the England matches.
Thank you Abora Buenaventura! Everyone’s hard work does not go unnoticed. It’s been a pleasure.
Everything about the hotel and the staff were fabulous. Something for everyone in our family of seven to enjoy from 5 to 66 years old. There are the choice of 3 pools along with a kiddies play pool and a splash park, which our 5 year olds loved. There are also jacuzzis dotted about the pools and plenty of sun beds available throughout the day. The buffet style restaurant had something for everyone and there was different choice every day. There is also a snack bar open all day. I would definitely return again in the future.
Just finishing a 10 day holiday here! The location is amazing for the local Irish centre and shops, beach is around a 10 minute walk, need to go down quite a few steps to get there or can get a free bus from the resort to the beach every hour 9-3. Atmosphere in the day is definitely made because of the animation team Marco, Ben, Janina, Nerea, Juanfra, Elena, Evelyn. They always have activities on suitable for anyone and unlike some activity teams in other resorts these guys/girls will go above and beyond for everyone, my personal favorites was Marco and Ben! But all of the team is amazing. The kids disco is also brilliant id say for children up to around 8 ish, can't comment on kids club as didn't have any children traveling but again it's the same team doing it and a few parents have said how good the team has been with their children.
We stayed on the 7th floor which is no good for someone with height issues I would recommend asking for a lower floor because the drop does look quite scary but other than that the rooms was lovely, cleaned every day and you can request on the app or at reception for extra things if needed
I would definitely say this hotel is worth the value. I stayed facing the pool and the noise was on till quite late but I enjoyed that, my parents stayed facing the Gran Canaria princess and they said it was noisy too
If you want a quiet night I would guess to request the island pool side
Would definitely recommend this hotel
If someone has a fear of lifts I would recommend going in the stairs cause these lifts have got stuck a few times this holiday and also the door sensors don't seem to work as closed a few times as we entering/exiting
