Unique in its kind, privileged with the sunny weather all year round, a tropical area with access to green areas, lovely natural landscapes and also located in the center of Playa del Ingles; this resort enjoys the amenities of nature in combination with modern and familiar facilities. Large and comfortable bungalows where the family can enjoy all the amenities of an excellent resting place, tree-lined gardens for long walks, as well as the outdoor pool area that adapts to the winter season, so guests never stop enjoying a dip. The spa center is conditioned for relaxation and well-being, with trained staff and adequate equipment, in addition to sports areas where exercise can be done outdoors or in the gym. Near the hotel is conveniently the Shopping Center less than a kilometer away, where it is posible to access to the restaurants of typical or international food, enjoy bars and nightclubs to live lovely nights in Gran Canaria.
This is a wonderful complex, so well laid out, clean, great facilities and friendly and professional staff all round. It is primarily a family based hotel, so bear that in mind if you are travelling without kids, although it is neither noisy or out of control! The bungalows are terrific, best accommodation we've been in for a good few years. We went half board which was perfect for us. Food is terrific, with loads of options. If returning to Gran Canaria we wouldn't hesitate in booking again.
A fantastic holiday! Excellent entertainment team and friendly staff. Very welcoming… special shout out to Fabio.
Fabio was a fantastic entertainer
Spent a week here from late June (3 adults, 2 teens) in the Emblem Bungalows. Overall, a good stay with enough positives to make us return, though a few things could be tweaked.
The Positives:
Rooms: Good size with a great double shower. Being allowed to keep our room until our late afternoon transfer was a fantastic end to the trip.
Perks: Daily fridge restocks with drinks were a nice touch. (Note: Advertised 'Rituals' products were only handwash, and the free daily sun cream felt like goose fat, so we gave it a miss).
Pools: Clean, large, and a decent temperature. Never too busy, making it easy to grab a sunbed at 9am or later.
Location: Great base. The Yumbo Centre is good day or night for shops and drinks. The Maspalomas seafront near the lighthouse is a nice, higher-end area, and Puerto de Mogan on market day is a beautiful must-visit.
The Not-So-Good:
Food: Usually lukewarm and repetitive. Lunch and dinner felt like a case of “that will do” rather than being excited to try things. Breakfast was much better.
Entertainment: Very sparse. The sports court is decent, but there are no planned daytime activities for adults (like football). Evening entertainment is geared towards little ones, leaving teens and adults with little to do.
Sports Bar: Watched the World Cup here. Unfortunately, there is no A/C, most of the smaller screens were turned off (leaving us straining to see the main screen), and they kept the Spanish commentary on for the England game despite having English channels available.
Summary: We always found something to enjoy and would come back again, but improving the food temperatures and adult entertainment would make a big difference.
We have just returned for a 7 night stay all inclusive. We absolutely loved this hotel. Was a bit worried coming as some of the reviews aren’t great but I would ignore them. First off the 2 bed bungalow was prefect for our family of 4. Very spacious, great storage for clothes. Huge bathroom with great lighting ! Aircon in each room was amazing for returning after being out in the sun all day. We did have some issues with ants and cockroaches getting in from outside but this is the chance you take with it being ground level. We just bought raid from the little shop to help with this and also told reception who sprayed outside the bungalow. The food here was amazing, something different every night. Even my fussy children managed to eat. The food was also always hot and allergens marked well. The snack bar during the day was also good always had pizza burgers and hot dogs. The beer and soft drinks were self serve which was good meanin the bar was only for cocktails or spirits etc.
We only used the pool next to the snack bar with the slide and that was great. There was another bigger pool near the main bar. There was never any subbed wars next to the kids pool and splash park. We never went to the pool untill 3 one day after being out and there was loads left together.
I can’t comment on the kids club as my children didn’t go as they were older. The entertainment at night was also good we enjoyed it. With our flight being 10pm at night we got a late check out untill 5pm which cost €50. You couldn’t get this untill day of check out though. They updated our bands to gain access to our room and even after 5pm if you kept your band you were still able to access all the all inclusive which was great.
All the staff we very friendly and work really hard. We would definitely return and recommend this to families.
