Decent enough hotel
We stayed here as a family for 4 night before staying in Puerto Rico for another 7 nights,overall we enjoyed our stay there was good and bad points. Check in took a while but the lady on reception was very nice,friendly and spoke good English. The room was massive,2 bedroom superior room,2 bathrooms which was perfect as there was 5 of us,balcony was massive,ASTRO turn so not having to listen to people scraping chairs around on the balcony,was nice and quiet no getting woke up by people being noisy.The rooms were clean and towels were changed regularly even tho we were only there 4 nights.The first pool we went went to stunk of urine so never went back to that pool,the pool where the activities were on was a bit too crowded and noisy for us,the quiet pool was beautiful however the strictness was ridiculous,the lifeguard constantly yelling people to be quiet,me and my daughter were in the pool talking one day and she came over and told us to be quiet,I said we are being quiet we only talking,another day she kept telling my kids to be quiet when they weren't even being noisy then some Spanish people came up and were Making loads of noise so I was waiting for her to tell them to be quiet but instead she went over and was talking to them and laughing for ages so if your English your not allowed to talk if your Spanish make as much noise as you want.we never had food in the hotel or watched any of the entertainment so I can't comment on that.There is a supermarket and bars and restaurants right outside and the market starts right outside the hotel aswell so that was handy,about a 15 minute walk down to the beach and more restaurants and bars and shops.

Another great holiday at Cordial Valle
Just came bak from our 2 weeks and 2nd stay at Cordial Valle and we are already looking for next summer deals.
Everything was great,we had superior apartment on second floor with huge terrace overlooking the pool.
Kids ages 11 and 6 loved the pool and animation programme.
We spent most of the time on the beach which was great ,nice smooth walk to the beautiful Mogan harbour.
We also took a bus to Amadores and Anfi beach,we recommended to visit those beautiful beaches.
The bus station is so convenient same as supermarket just minutes away from the complex.

Very good, but one big negative
I'll get the negative out of the way first; we felt that the room cleanliness and housekeeping was poor. The cleaner didn't come when she should have, sheets were not changed when they should have been and at one point the cleaner was adamant she had changed the sheets when it was obvious that the dirty, stained ones were still in place. It was noticeable too that more than one of the public toilets had no soap, and that there were loose fittings.
Nonetheless, the good points were plentiful. The superior room was a very good size with a huge balcony. It was well equipped and very comfortable.
There was also a very good selection of pools. The busiest pool had activities in it and the adjacent splash park (no slides but a playground with fountains and sprays) had a very shallow paddling pool and two jacuzzis. There was also a quieter family pool and a very nice quiet pool higher up.
The location was great, there is a supermarket and taxi rank opposite. A small mall is further along and it's about a 15 minute walk to the main resort centre. The starting point for the Friday market is by the supermarket too.
The spa treatments were good, although there was a mix up with the booking. We had good service from reception.
We cannot comment on the food on site nor the evening entertainment. On the whole this is a very good complex and we enjoyed our stay. Cleaning is a basic thing though and we think a bit more care is needed in that regard.

Brilliant family stay
Just back from our 3rd stay at the hotel. I couldn't recommend it enough. We stayed in superior 1 bedroom apartment. Beautiful apartment and very clean. Pool area well maintained and no big rush for sun beds Pool side bar had great drink options We only had lunch at hotel food wise and couldn't fault it. Great value for money and friendly helpful staff
Very average hotel, great location, poor cleanliness
A very average place to stay.
Hotel is in a great location, everything is within easy walking distance including shops, many restaurants, beach and harbour. The village and harbour is beautiful.
However the hotel itself leaves much to be desired. The cleanliness is poor. The floors are dirty, the pool areas are dirty and smelly, the pool water itself always looked murky. The tables around the bar area were rarely clean and some of the furniture is very tired and falling apart. The corridor walls and floors are filthy.
The rooms were cleaned most days but again, the standard of cleaning wasn't the best. I think we had 1 change of sheets in 2 weeks and the change in towels was extremely hit and miss. Often towels would be taken but not replaced leaving us 2 towels for 4 people. Toilet roll is not replenished at all.
The biggest issue for us aside from the cleanliness was the lack of staff. For a hotel of this size there was usually only 1 member of staff running the bar and cafe areas and we waited over half an hour just to order lunch one day. The staff they have work hard but they are stretched too thin to cater for everyone.
The pool rules are somewhat understandable but strict, so you aren't really allowed to use any floats, inflatables or play with balls etc. and the lifeguard would stand and shout endlessly, for much of the day, over one thing or another.
The lifts also seemed to take it in turns to be out of action more often than they were in use and after climbing the mountain of killer steps multiple times a day with tired kids, this does become frustrating.
All in all, we enjoyed our visit to the town and visiting the beautiful area but would definitely not return to this accommodation.
