Below expectations

We stayed here for a week for a family holiday. The food is pretty poor, everything is dry and very poor quality meats etc however there’s generally chips/pasta/salads to tide you over. The real downside to this hotel is the cleanliness. The towels aren’t changed daily and it’s impossible to dry them after showering due to there being absolutely no ventilation in the bathrooms. If you ask for extra towels you’re charged a whopping €15 a day… for tiny basic towels. Alongside this, the rooms weren’t cleaned at all during our stay. All the cleaner did was make the beds and leave toilet rolls. By day 3, the bathroom and floors were filthy but they won’t provide additional cleaning. The areas around the pool are hosed off each morning but nothing is cleaned properly. The tiles, beds and tables are filthy at all times.

There is a bit of sunbed wars which is a real shame. People up at dawn’s crack to reserve their beds but not return to them until 4pm. The hotel says they remove towels reserving beds but they don’t. The sunbeds are extremely cramped with barely any walking space between rows so you’re constantly walked into and tripped over.

The most worrying part about our stay was the people that were injured in the pool. 3 people suffered lacerations to their feet, one being a very small child. One person required an ambulance to take them to hospital but staff don't seem concerned about what’s injuring people in the pool (broken glass?), even the lifeguard isn’t bothered which is extremely worrying.

Overall, it’s fine as the beaches nearby are beautiful and there’s lots of places to eat out if you can’t find anything you like to eat but that does sort of defeat the purpose of all inclusive.

Big drinking culture here and it’s pretty rowdy. Lots of loud drinkers neglecting their kids 😬

The English lady on reception is extremely rude and abrupt, public facing roles are not for her.

We wouldn’t return here but tips for people who are coming here; bring lots of towels to shower with, bring cleaning wipes to wipe off your lounger and tables, hand gel to prevent illness as pretty much everything is grubby.

Mediocre

I am just about to leave this hotel after spending one week here, at the beginning it seemed lovey. The bedrooms and other parts off the building/ facilities were lovely, pillows and bedding was slightly low budgets but nothing too bad. By night three we began to notice the lack of cleanliness, such as a sand, dust, bugs and hair all over the two rooms. The hotel also dosen’t change towels every day which can’t dry to lack off ventilation. Which caused black mold to grow on the roof. The food was decent, mostly the same things every day but they had the basics such as pasta, rice ect. The most alarming thing we have seen while saying at this hotel was the amount off foot injury’s, three people have sliced there feet open one needing a paradmedicts attention. The surrounding area was lovely, and felt safe it is just a shame that some things weren’t as we hoped.

I also want to add, when we arrived we asked if we could get late checkout then we were told to ask on the day. When we called reception we were rudely told they don’t do it, while that’s not a probelm. What makes it worse was the rudeness and attitude from the lady in reception.

All in All a good family hotel

Honest review as always , First impressions on arriving late on where good the transfer was only about 30 mins as well which was great after a long flight and airport chaos . Check in was quick and they had left us some food out just simple but was welcome after traveling . Sunbeds are taken early well the best ones anyway but just back from the main pool area there was lots still left so didn't have issues getting one . Pool is a decent size and music playing all day gives it a vibrant vibe . Food on the whole at the buffet was good with plenty of choice and a couple of show cooking stations which was good , The snack bar cooks to order burgers , Hot dogs, chicken and lots more but the hot stone steak was excellent so make sure you order that . the Spa is available to all between 10 and 12 then adults only after that use it as its a nice little area with saunas , whirl pools , plunge pools etc . Entertainment was hit and miss but was ok but this has been a running theme across the last few years in most hotels I've visited . There is not a lot in the surrounding area other than some beaches which are nice enough but quite busy and sharp sand . Puerto Rico Centre and moghan mall are about a 20 euro taxi away 15 mins if you want something a bit more lively and with lots of food and bar choices . we also visited ANFI Beach which was a smart area with a lovely beach and water sports plus bars and food places deffo worth a visit . there is a water taxi available which we did use but note you can be on it for an hour . staff at the hotel where good especially the bar staff who at times where mega busy but still took the time to mix some of the cocktails available and where pleasant about it . rooms where good and cleaned well so no problem there , All in all a good family hotel

Not great , made the most of the situation!

Room: Rooms are very basic , I payed extra £400 for the top floor room. After looking at other family members room there was no difference except a tiny little kitchen what we didn’t exactly need due to being all inclusive. Also given we had a small kitchen area we had no utensils / cups to even make a coffee. Seemed absolutely pointless. The beds are horrendous , move in the middle of night and you end up at the other side of the room due to them being on wheels!

Food: Food was ok nothing special , they had themed nights each night so broke it up a little. Personally the food around the bar during the day was better while eating in the afternoon. You can request a hot stone and have a steak what you can cook yourself what was a nice little touch. Beer / drinks seemed fine compared to other places I’ve been all inclusive before.

Pool: Pool area is very very busy , it’s like no one ventures out of the hotel because it’s just constantly busy. We went the beach a few days just to get out the way. The pool is also quite deep if you have small kids.

Area: If you’re looking for a walk out for shops and bars in the evening then this is NOT the place. It’s a very quiet town and not much going on , we got a taxi over to a few different towns what were so much better in terms of liveliness. If that’s your thing then happy days but me personally I like having the best of both were maybe you can just go out a meal now and then , but unfortunately it’s not the case staying at this hotel , also the small beach near the hotel it’s very localised , mainly being Spanish that use it , not that I have a problem with with that but it’s just shows were your staying as not much foreign tourists use it.

Overall: Made the most out of a not so great situation, I would definitely would not return to this hotel but would try another town where we had a very good time as a family.

P.S If quite area and very busy hotel is your thing then this is the hotel for you.

Nice hotel for families with children

Hotel was much nicer than expected after first impression beimg draped off outside main entrance! You enter on floor 5 for reception. Went with family with young children and we were catered for perfectly! Food was good, some staff in restaurant could be rude! Room was nice for two people overlooking the ocean. Air con didn’t work well, but the two fans overhead were great!
Only downside was never enough loungers by pool for the amount of people. Loungers were taken very early in morning with towels left for a long time with no one on them! Hotel does say they will be removed if left for a long time! This was never implemented!

Possibly would return again, but not as a couple! Definitely for families with children xx
