Stunning hotel in a beautiful location.
We were impressed with our room (superior with pool view), very spacious, clean, lots of storage space. The only gripe was our tea/coffee/milk were not replenished every day but the standard of the rest of the housekeeping was impeccable.
We opted for breakfast only and were very satisfied with the quality and range of food on offer. We did find that busyness varied from day to day and time but it didn’t stop us from finding a table or the food we wanted.
The grounds are spectacular and kept to a high standard so were a pleasure to explore. The pool areas were clean with lots of different areas for you to relax (if you were early/lucky enough to find a sun-bed), with areas available with less children and noise (solarium/the tree pool).
The local area also has a lot to offer with plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. There is a beautiful boulevard along the coast which is worth a walk/run along if you want a leg stretch.
The hotel bars are excellent value for money in comparison to hotel bar prices in the uk and the staff were always friendly and attentive. There was a good variety of entertainment throughout the day and into the evening and night.
We would definitely recommend a visit here if you want that bit of luxury but be prepared to play the game if you want a decent spot by the pool.

Very disappointing
Such a shame as this hotel had great promise. 3 things really let them down. Room service was awful ( although to be fair guest services did their best to apologise) food cold, poor quality and took over an hour to arrive. Completely inedible
We all know what a pain it is when you try to get a sun lounger and people have been down at silly o’clock and put their towels on them. I really liked the hotel’s approach saying this was not permitted and towels would be removed. In reality they do nothing so by day 3 you realise you have to either join in or do what we did and get up early find a spot that hadn’t been taken and start our day - breakfast separately, basically everything on our own. I felt so sorry for people wandering around and around looking for something not reserved. It makes it worse for me as they said they took action which was nonsense. This was not in high season and as the hotel has capacity for 2,500-3,000 summer must be a nightmare.
The final issue was the complimentary shower facilities for people checking out but not flying for a few hours. Located in a dank dark rundown basement, the gents was really awful, the smell was unbearable. Run down shabby and dirty. The women’s whilst without the smell felt isolated and I didn’t feel safe at all. They could have chosen differently. They have a lovely gym facility with showers they could allow guest to use but they were explicit saying do not use the facilities in the gym. Sad that’s our lasting memory

Beautiful relaxing stay
Just got back from a stay at the hotel. After reading a few other reviews I have to say it surprised me that people can complain about the beautiful decor of the hotel. It was stunning. Staff were very efficient and attentive. The food was delicious and drink very well priced. The pool and surrounds were very well maintained and all rooms were cleaned to perfection. The only problem I would say is when the hotel is full to capacity the pool loungers were being saved early and not sat on until later in the day and also unique members were saving them which I can’t understand when they have areas to themselves. But apart from that a beautiful place which we will return to.

Not a 5* Hotel
Let's start with the positives, location was good, rooms were clean ( maids were brilliant) no atmosphere in the hotel though. Outside grounds were lovely but impossible to get a sun lounger and quite a few wars between guests, one where security was called to an English man who lost it because his towel was removed after leaving it for 3 hrs. But... Very disappointed with our stay. We arrived to a broken room safe, which took three consecutive days of complaining to get fixed. To make matters worse, noise levels from the hotel entertainment of an evening whilst just wanting to chill on our balcony, was horrendous! Then you get the constand bass from Café del Mar which lasted until 3:00 AM every night, making sleep nearly impossible! Poolside management was just as frustrating—finding a sun lounger was a nightmare due to unoccupied beds reserved all day. Dining was pure chaos for both breakfast and dinner, with long lines and cold food throughout. To top it off, we asked on day one about paying for a late check-out for our evening flight, only to be told to check the day before departure—where we were turned down and told no courtesy rooms were available. We were sent to external sports changing rooms by the tennis courts, which were filthy, foul-smelling , with no air, no windows , it smelled like a sewage, it really was awful! We were disgusted that this was our only option offered, especially after later learning that actual courtesy room shower slots were available but kept from us. Definitely not up to 5-star standards. I would no return to this hotel!

We had a fantastic stay at Lopesan Costa Meloneras Resort & Spa in Maspalomas and couldn’t recommend it enough!
The hotel was perfect for our family of two adults and a 2-year-old. Everything was clean and well maintained, our room was lovely, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.
One of the biggest highlights was the location, with so many lovely restaurants right on the doorstep, giving us plenty of choice for meals out without having to travel far — especially handy with a toddler!
A special mention goes to Pedro at La Plaza Bar, who was absolutely fantastic. His friendly service and warm attitude really made our experience extra special. It’s staff members like Pedro who make a holiday memorable.
Overall, we had a brilliant 5-star experience and would happily return. A great choice for couples and families alike, and especially ideal for anyone travelling with young children. We came away with some lovely memories and would highly recommend this hotel! 🌴☀️
