Close to the historical lighthouse, the beautiful sand dunes of Maspalomas beach and the promenade with its luxurious boutiques, this hotel is ideally situated in the exclusive tourist area of Meloneras. Restaurants and bars can be found on the hotel's doorstep. The airport is about 25-minute drive away. The wonderful outdoor pool area is the ideal place where to spend a holiday since sunbathing, resting under the shadow of an umbrella or having a refreshing swim while enjoying the relaxing environment is something guests cannot miss. The property also offers delicious delights along with agreeable surroundings. The spending rooms are nicely decorated with soothing colours and come equipped with all the amenities needed for a pleasant and unforgettable stay.
Great place for families and kids, with lots to do and see. Gardens and decor are just mesmerizing. Rooms are average, very noisy, and cleanliness needs improvement and extra attention. A bit low-standard for a 5-star hotel; could be much better. Just being honest.
The hotel itself was beautiful. However, I was constantly in reception. Check in was very late as the room wasn’t ready when I paid the receptionist told me to take my phone off airplane mode. This cost me £80 per day in roaming. Which was on my phone bill. We had so many issues with the room. Patio door, TV, signs of damp and a drainage smell. The hotel is great but the rooms are not so good and the service at reception was poor.
This is our 5th time returning to Lopesan baobab. We loved it the 1st time and we love it equally as much the 5th time. Luxury hotel but still amazing for children. Can’t wait to visit again next year.
We stayed at the lopesan casino hotel last year and loved it. We thought it was a really high standard for Europe. We booked this one for our family this year and did worry that it might not love up to the other and had also seen some of the reviews of this one. This hotel is absoloutly five star. We saw constant maintenance, painting and great grounds keeping during our stay. The pool guys will get you an umbrella no problem and despite travelling in August, sunbeds were available all day long thanks to the pool guys monitoring bed savers.
This hotel is stunning, it feels like you are in Bali. The rooms were great but we would have loved a kettle and some USB wall chargers! Plenty of pools, space and breakfast is smoothly run. We had such a brilliant time. The resteraunts in the square and on the promenade are reasonably priced and we didnt have one bad meal.
This was our fourth visit to the Lopesan (over the last 10 years) and the overall stay was very average. The hotel feels somewhat dated and what made it is previously a great hotel seems to have been lost. The rooms have not been updated, no usb chargers, showers still the same, and sometimes broken. What was previously accessible to all in the hotel, some of those parts have been turned into the unique part of the hotel, but it has not been upgraded. Having had access to those parts of the hotel before the unique experience was introduced, I would not say it is worth the extra cost. The evening buffet was also really average and the selection of food seemed to be less. The half board premium is a better option as you can eat at different à la carte restaurants in other hotels. For very young families as a first time visit this hotel would be good for you but for older families the other Lopesan hotel nearby may be a better option. We also asked for a late check out and were told the hotel was fully booked, but when we checked on booking.com a room could be booked. Thankfuly we spoke with Alberto who was able to arrange a late check out for a small fee, which was really helpful. We were under whelmed by the overall experience and would not say it is 5 star, which it previously may have been. For a true 5 star experience try a Sani or Ikos hotel, they are more 5 star.
