H10 Playa Meloneras Palace

We have just returned from a one-week stay at H10 Playa Meloneras Horizons and had a fantastic holiday. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the hotel.

The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. The beds were two singles pushed together, but they were very comfortable. The balcony was a good size and, by the looks of things, every room has at least a pool view with a partial sea view, which was a lovely bonus.

Both pools are a good size and the pool areas were always kept clean and tidy. Despite the hotel being very large, it never felt overcrowded. There was no rush for sunbeds, we were able to go down after breakfast around 9–10am and still get a good spot. It was also good to see the hotel enforcing its no-reserving policy, with staff removing towels that had been left before 10am.

The food was very good, with plenty of choice throughout the week. We were also impressed with the all-inclusive drinks. It was great that branded drinks were included, and beers at mealtimes were bottles of Estrella. The cocktails were also really nice, especially those from the evening bars.

The majority of the staff were friendly, welcoming and always happy to help. The evening entertainment was excellent, particularly the Queen tribute band, and the lady and gentleman doing the circus type act.

There are just a few small things that we think could make an already great hotel even better. Some low-level background music around the pool during the day would create a nicer atmosphere, and a few themed nights in the main buffet restaurant would add a bit more variety. We also thought the snack bar opening hours could start a little earlier, as it currently opens from 4:30pm–6:30pm.

Cushions on the sunbeds would be a nice addition, and the gym could do with being cooler and having more working treadmills. The cocktails at the pool bar were a little inconsistent, as some staff seemed to rely on the a machine rather than making them properly, which affected the quality. We also felt it was disappointing that the all-inclusive ended at 12pm on checkout day. Although a lunch voucher was provided, which was appreciated, we had to pay for drinks until our 7pm transfer, despite not arriving until around 11pm on our first night.

Finally, we did encounter one member of staff at the Tropical Bar during the day who was quite abrupt and seemed irritated when taking drink orders, although there was no queue.

Overall, these were only minor points and things that could make the hotel even better, rather than complaints. We had a really lovely week, thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would happily return in the future.

Location out of the gate onto a spotless boulevard on the sea wall 20 minute liesurly walk to shops bar and restaurants We upgraded to privelidge package worth every penny .you can eat alacarte breakfast lunch & dinner The staff are exceptional in whatever they are doing every one of them a credit to themselves. The food in the restaurants are of a very high standard. Drinks are branded not your normal cheap all-inclusive rubbish. This hotel is absolutely spotless. Pool and outdoor bar areas excellent.
