Not like it used to be!
It felt like a downward shift in the clientele visiting the hotel, felt a bit less upmarket! Hotel is lovely check in receptionist was warm welcoming and friendly, nice to be acknowledged as a returning guest! However when it came to leave the ability for a late check out was disappointing we tried to book at various points during the holiday and was finally told to wait until the night before we left, we were kept waiting at the desk while the girl kept scrolling and tutting g and head shaking went on, only to be told to check again first thing on our last day, only to be told it wasn’t possible - despite the €75 charge!! The use of s shower room was our only option, an experience I hope never to repeat!!! We also noticed certain areas looking tired and neglected - my biggest concern was the carpet bar holding the carpet tiles down to the marble floor, was ‘curling’ at both ends which will have stopped the fire doors from closing, further several of the carpet tiles, were lifting and could pose a serious tripping hazard hazard! The dining room staff worked so hard but were clearly under staffed, as tables were left uncleared, never happened before, breakfast on at least 3 occasions was not the best, very greasy offerings long queues for eggs and some of the pre cooked items were a little well done! Again not as we have previously had. Overall I am not sure this is still a 4 star hotel.

Relaxing and clean hotel
I really enjoyed the hotel and staff were mostly very friendly. Food was great plenty to choose from. I have a problem with walking and was given an adapted room which was very comfortable and plenty of seating areas. I can only say that I was disappointed with was the air conditioning in the rooms was not too good, worse in others. Also no replenishing of bottles of water in room.

Lisette, the receptionist was amazing. friendly, helpful and caring. she made sure we were safe and feelin okay, and whenever we spilt somethin or did something wrong, she was extremely helpful and friendly.
Lovely hotel.. but no air conditioning
I felt a need to write this review so others can judge whether to book … the hotel is lovely, very clean, staff are friendly.. food is good… BUT!!! the air conditioning is unacceptable.. it doesn’t work.. all throughout the hotel and especially the rooms .. getting ready in the evening you’re just sweating.. during the night pillows are drenched in sweat.. I’m not overstating this .. such a shame as because of this I won’t be returning..

No Air Con Anywhere
I booked this hotel as a suprise trip for my husband’s birthday. TUI advertised the hotel as 5 star so I was quite suprised when we pulled up to 4 stars on the hotels huge sign!! The reception area, rooms and restaurants are all very aesthetically pleasing as per the images online. The bathrooms had not been updated where we stayed in Tabaiba. There is NO Aircon anywhere in the hotel!! It is boiling!! There is a vent in the room and heating / cooling controls which omit very little air. The hotel do not provide fans. Most of the bar areas are self service which is very impersonal. This hotel definitely isn’t 5* and we’ve stayed in much better 4*’s There is nowhere nearby but, buses are regular and taxis readily available. We did walk into Maspalomas which took around 25 minutes along main roads. The à la carte restaurants are buffets but, it is nice to be away from the main buffet and have drinks served. The food in general was very good, lots of choice all day. There are plenty of sunbeds available each day but, the coarse sand that they rest on is quite unpleasant to walk across. The adults pool and H20 bar is nice for a peaceful break away from other activities. One day our room was not made up, we left the card for the towels and sheets to be replaced the next day but, one of the new pillows and towels were stained! Not nice. We requested that our safe be opened on our arrival and for extra pillows, sadly neither happened. We enjoyed visiting Maspalomas beach and dunes and took a bus to Puerto de Mogan which was very nice. Sadly I would not recommend Tabaiba Princess.
