We have just had our last day of a weeks holiday and have loved every minute of it. We came as a family of 4 with a 13 year old and a 9 year old. This hotel is in a great location, it caters for all. The food in the main restaurant and the “sea breeze” bar around the pool have plenty of choice to suit everyone. The rooms are spacious and immaculately cleaned every day and the beds are super comfy!! Great views over Amodores beach which is stunning. If you want to head in to Puerto Rico it’s 8 euro in a taxi or the europa centre is a 10 min walk. Entertainment during the day is fab for kids and adults. The gym is really good too. In the evening we headed to the sports bar to play pool and the views of the sunset are just magical.. we will definitely be returning next year for another week.
Thank you vistimar !
I am staying Here for two weeks this has been day 5 and i genuinely feel invisible half the time, especially from the server at the bar she is called cassia other customers who arrived after us were served first. We tried to get the bartender’s attention politely, but were repeatedly overlooked. It made us feel unwelcome and was very disappointing. Alot of the time there was no area to sit at the snack area as every table was completely full and plates were still full on tables not being cleaned. Not been given cutlery at snack, half the plates were still dirty. Half the machines at the gym are falling to pieces and are so unsafe! Especially the cross trainer and bike. The gym is far too hot to even be able to do any workouts in it. For the amount of money I paid I honestly thought it would be better. I absolutely love riu hotels and have been to many but it seems this riu hotel has so many different rules from other rius, for example the life guards were very rude and shouted at us for having our drinks close to the pool whilst other riu hotels you are allowed to be right in the pool with drinks. But again noticed alot of other people doing this and the life guard had no problem with this only seemed to have a problem when we done it. Then I was shouted at for having a tiny float in the pool again I was allowed this in the last Riu hotel. The rooms are very clean cannot complain, the manager is also very nice the hotel is lovely it is very overcrowded though and wish there was a pool dedicated to adults because you cannot swim at all rarely. The food is great has everything you need and want basically. Alot of staff members are really lovely and accomodating it’s just ashame alot of things have made this stay not the best.
I stayed here with my mum and sister in June. I was really worried as there had been some pretty bad reviews on the lead up to my stay but soon found out these were all quite unfair! We had a lovely stay. The food, drinks and facilities were all good. The free shuttle to the beach is a great perk and you are very close to the local town by taxi. The rooms and hotel were also very clean and the view from the hotel was exceptional. I do agree however that the hotel is a little bit of a struggle for people who struggle with stairs and mobility.
Not a good experience at the hotel not toddler friendly, The is hardly any option for food for a toddler. Hard going up and down stairs with a pushchair and a toddler when the lift is broken going up to the swimming pool. A child has a accident in the kids swimming pool and pooed in the pool and they only closed it for an hour which is very unhygienic and put us off going in the kids pools with our toddler who is 17 months old. Also I found a cockroach in the bread rolls when I was getting my lunch and I reported it and nothing got done about it. Would never come back to this hotel.
Writing this review as we sit around the pool for our final few hours in this beautiful hotel before we sadly head home after a glorious week. This is our 2nd stay here, we stayed last August and are back less than a year later and it sure did not disappoint, yet again! Rooms are always clean, spacious and well maintained. Food is always fresh, well replenished and something for everyone! This is our final holiday as just us two before we welcome our baby and what a lovely, needed relaxing time we've had. The moment the staff were aware of my pregnancy, they arranged a room close to the lifts for me and on a higher floor to suit the hotel layout. We had an amadores beach view and it was breathtakingly stunning. There's always something going on such as games and activities, all are welcomed to join in but never pressured. The entertainment staff are fabulous! Such a lovely hotel, with a great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and hope to return to experience the family side this hotel offers! Thank you Riu Vistamar!
