Need more than one person at the pool bar..serving the whole hotel around the 2 ppools

The following review is not a criticism, it is just some points which I hope you will look at as feedback to improve things for future guests.

Got off to a bit of a bad start after 12 hours of travelling. One receptionist on duty so long queue, eventually given room in the annexe, which we hadn't booked, but receptionist insisted we stayed there, so agreed as very tired. Got to room which had been vacated, but not cleaned - rubbish / dirty bathroom and toilet / unmade bed / previous occupants names on room card etc. This should not have happened and obviously communication error somewhere. Had to then return to the queue in reception to get another room sorted.

ROOM : Lovely comfortable bed and nice bathroom and walk in shower. Bed made daily but floor not mopped every day and terrace only swept once - did consider asking for brush myself. Sheets not changed in 11 days.

POOL TOWELS : If you want to change its 3 euros, thought that was a bit excessive as staying for 11 nights and would have liked to change. We stayed at a hotel on the costa brava in the summer and changed every day for nothing.

ENTERTAINMENT : Singer twice a week in bar. Not really looking for entertainment, so didn't affect us. However, with two days of rain during the holiday there was nowhere at all inside to go, apart from your room. Would be nice to have an inside bar with large screen showing sports or something / pool table / football table / books etc ?? Children's entertainment and aqua aerobics around the pool are definately to avoid - consisting of entertainment staff shouting into microphones amplified at full blast on speakers around pool. It was extremely uncomfortable to sit around the pool during these times - the shouting could be heard at the end of the annexe across the road !! Usually for aqua aerotics in other hotels music is played and the staff do actions on the side of the pool which guests in the pool copy. Childrens entertainment doesn't need microphones, there were only a handful of children to entertain.

FOOD : Breakfast good. Evening meal not so. All meat cooked on the griddle was completely inedible and tough, couldn't get your knife into it, let alone chew it. Meat cooked in sauces was better. No ice cream or yoghurt for desert. Lovely salads but no salad dressing - just small saches of mayonnaise. Lovely cheese selection - no crackers. Luckily we had a car so bought salad dressing and crackers and took into dinner.

RESTAURANT : At busy times there were queues. Cannot understand why we cannot eat outside for meals - it appears you can go out of the restaurant, but can't come back in again unless you go all the way around and come back into the restaurant. This may reduce queues and guests do like eating outside.

STAFF : Not very friendly, rarely smiled and you didn't feel particularly welcome - a smile and good morning / hola / buenos dias / enjoy your meal etc goes a long way.

POSITION : There is nothing around here at all, it is very remote, but to us this was perfect as we had a car - without a car I think you would struggle.

CLEANING / MAINTENANCE : Quite a few things broken or missing and not fixed. Cleaning ok, but tables in the restaurant swept around, but not actually moved to capture the remains of the previous meals.
