Before reading this review, please note I gave 5 stars. We had an amazing holiday.
Below are a couple of suggestions and observations that could improve the experience.
I know hotel management will reply saying they will forward comments to relevant team, here's hoping they take note :(
Firstly, please have non smoking areas around star prestige pool. Nothing worse than picking your bed, then smokers choose the ones either side of you.
Why isn't tea and coffee available in main restaurant at lunchtime? Sometimes I just wanted a brew.
Umbrellas on balconies. Especially those in the sun most of the day.
Have some small jugs near milk for us té con leche drinkers. Using a cup / glass led to spillage and wastage.
Clean the green algae from edges of the main pool more frequently.
It is an extremely accessible hotel, one of our party was using a mobility scooter without issues, but lack of toilets mean having to come down 3 floors from rooftop bar.
Ask for an adapted room before you get there if you have mobility issues. Plenty of space and a walk in shower.
By its definition, all in inclusive should be just that. Not €5 for a bottle of corona, strongbow etc in the bowling bar. Especially after paying for star prestige. And on the subject of the Bowling bar, ask your barmen to smile. Whilst they weren't rude, they were the only members of staff who it felt like we were troubling them.
The food is incredible, varied and constantly available.
Restaurant staff work so hard. If you'd got up and left your starter plate on the table, it would be cleared by the time you got back with your main.
Try the eggs at breakfast. Poached, fried as you like them, scrambled and omelettes made to order.
The beer could be better. Mahou or San Miguel, neither of which I'm a fan of. Personal choice. Named brand spirits available all day. Luxury brand spirits only available at Star Prestige pool bar from 10.30 until 6pm
Get ginger ale :)
Staff working around the star prestige pool area were great. But get the jacuzzis fixed. Only 1 out of 6 working the entire time we were there. Reported it via app, but never got a reply.
New bar looked great and will be awesome once the terraces are finished.
Rooms are kept impeccably clean, and Irene was amazing. They could do with a little sprucing up though. Starting to look a bit tired.
Entertainment/ animation team are incredibly hard working and very talented. Alba is a beautiful soul, constantly smiling. They put on some great shows. Better than the so called professionals. I wish I could remember more names. They all deserve a mention. Pitafo will know what I mean ;)
Management often around and always available.
Hopefully see you all again next year.
what a lovely place this is an honest review arrived at hoteln10 pm checked in went to room it was adouble no good as traveling with daughter booked twim room extra bed in room whilst sorting out another room went for cold supperwent back to reception all sorted lovely room thanks to lady you know who long finger nails a all staff are alaways smiling and make you feel part of family except bowling burger lady a smile does not cost a lotyes bit of work going on but it will be nice they inviteda few of bus to opening o bar thanks guys lovely chamers every thing so cleanplenty of room to get sunbeds food nice and fresh all in all lovely place only down side peopkewalking out side smoking area and sits next to you but really enjoyed it well doneto all the iberostar team
The hotel needs updating but overall OK. Views are wonderful. Renovated rooms are fabulous for 4*. The staff is not up to Iberostar standards at all. No management. Totally disorganized. Clueless and untrained staff. Food: one meal excellent, next one very poor. Older employees are trying to keep this place up and running. A short stay with major ups and downs. Not relaxing at all.
Our final night of a 10 night stay, as family with two teens.
So in short, if you have come on holiday to relax, and throw yourself into having a good time - and if you’re more minded to stick to the hotel and it’s amenities than explore the local bars / shops / restaurants, this is a lovely place to go. I’ve got to say, we enjoyed every minute!
Norman is great so funny great activities good time had by all
