Labranda Golden Beach

Admittedly, we are still on holiday here, but I felt the need to write a review because there seem to be some mixed opinions about this lovely hotel.

We arrived as a couple (myself and my husband) quite late on Tuesday 28th July. We were greeted by Jose (I really hope I’ve got his name right!), who was absolutely lovely. He explained everything we needed to know, made us feel really welcome and got our holiday off to a great start.

Our room is a good size and includes a safe, double bed, sofa, TV and dressing table. It has everything we’ve needed, and we’ve found it to be clean and comfortable throughout our stay.

The food has been lovely so far. There’s plenty of choice, with lots of traditional Spanish dishes alongside freshly cooked options such as BBQ meats, chicken kebabs and steak at lunch and dinner, and the selection changes every day. There are also some familiar options such as pizza and pasta if you prefer something simpler. If you’re travelling with children or very selective eaters, it’s worth bearing in mind that the buffet is geared more towards a variety of dishes than lots of child-friendly favourites.

Branded ice creams are available to purchase, but both the restaurant and pool bar also offer complimentary little pots of ice cream with sauce and sprinkles, which have been a lovely treat after meals.

Artim from the entertainment team is fantastic. He’s friendly, approachable and always encouraging people to join in with activities such as AquaGym without ever being pushy. He’s a real credit to the hotel.

Every member of staff we’ve met has been friendly and welcoming. Kindness goes a long way—please remember that the staff are here to help you enjoy your holiday and deserve to be treated with respect. A smile and a simple “hola” are always appreciated.

Yes, the hotel is quieter than some larger resorts, the pool is on the smaller side, and there are optional extras available if you wish to purchase them. However, nobody pressures you into buying anything, and we actually love the relaxed atmosphere.

For us, the smaller size of the hotel is one of its biggest strengths. It feels peaceful, intimate and never overcrowded, which suits us perfectly. We’ve also loved the lovely breeze that keeps the temperature comfortable, especially around the pool.

Overall, we’ve had a wonderful stay so far and honestly can’t fault the hotel. We’d happily return. ❤️

Tips from our stay so far:

• 🌬️ It gets surprisingly chilly in the evenings, so bring a cardigan or hoodie.
• 💨 Yes, it really is windy! Fuerteventura is known as the “Windy Island,” so don’t be surprised by the breeze—it actually makes the heat much more comfortable.
• 💧 The tap water wasn’t to our taste, so we’d recommend buying bottled water. HiperDino directly across the road sells large bottles for under €1.50.
• ⏰ The hotel runs to a very organised schedule. Meal times, bar opening hours and pool opening times are followed quite closely, which we personally liked, but it may not suit everyone.
• 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 If you’re travelling with young children or particularly selective eaters, this may not be the ideal hotel. It’s much better suited to couples or adults looking for a quieter, more relaxing holiday.
• 🏖️ If you’re looking for a peaceful, laid-back hotel rather than a busy resort packed with entertainment, this place is ideal. Beach is also about a ten minute walk away and there’s shops and restaurants around too.

Although we haven’t finished our holiday yet, I really wanted to write this review. We are so impressed with Golden Beach and we love it here. Thank you so much to the whole team.❤️

I go on holiday 3 times a year and always go all inclusive I booked this hotel as it looked stunning Upon arrival we were greeted by a reception lady that I thought was a bit scary once we got booked in we were told our room number First impressions stunning our room was fantastic lovely view comfy beds and great bathroom First morning down to breakfast we were not even acknowledged by the dining staff we chose our breakfast scrambled egg beans and a sausage all of which were very cold considering we were the second people in there this was poor We went into the restaurant at lunch time and came out the food looked awfull pasta with watered down sauce pizza chips and god knows the salads looked awfull Evening meal the same thing pasta a watered down sauce drumsticks and chips Extremely poor choice the worse I have ever seen in an all inclusive The staff never once acknowledged us having just returned from Greece 4 weeks prior this was a massive let down Daytime entertainment was one man and the second day we got there it was guess how many pages in the book really I said After that we never stayed in at all we went to the stunning beach every day paid 18 euros a day for a sunbed and ate out every day Tea and coffee in your room was filled once but no milk and no spoon you get a wooden stirrer also no water for the kettle even though they told you the water is not drinkable I have stayed in Costa calma before in the SBH Costa calma and this was far superior And no I would never return to this hotel The staff are so unfriendly and I felt it was catered for the Spanish not English This is an honest review you always get you moaners but this hotel should be a 2* maximum We spent so much money eating out and having a few cokes it wasn’t worth going all inclusive
