- Fuerteventura Holidays
- Costa Calma
- KN Matas Blancas

Perfect for adults, this quiet hotel is located on the upper part of the resort, with privileged views over Costa Calma. There are countless shops, restaurants, bars and pubs in the hotel vicinity, and the centre of Costa Calma is 2.9 KM away. This is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday under the warm Canary sun.
Never again.
Short of staff.
Rooms not cleaned regularly.
Day time, only the pool bar is open. If you seat at reception for a relaxing moment and you want a drink you must go from the 3rd floor (reception) to the 1st floor (pool bar)
My pick up transfer was at 6pm on a Friday so asked for a late checkout on Monday and was told by Layla (receptionist ) to come to see her on Wednesday. She was off on Wednesday so spoke to the hotel Manager just to be told that wouldn't be possible as they had guests to my room.
On a Wednesday??? Sure the new guests could have been allocated a different room as the hotel had two days clear.
The Manager asked for my room number four times in a space of one minute while checking the computer for the late checkout availability. Clearly not paying enough attention to what I was telling him.
Ruined my last day as I had plans to enjoy most of the day, take a shower by 5pm and be ready for transfer pick up at 6pm.
Had to checkout at 11am and seat around for 7 hours.
Please note:
I was offered to use the courtesy room but I decided not to take it, basically is a room with two separated showers, which I couldn't work out how would I change clothes as the main door to the room is unlocked.
You take a shower in a closed shower room but then to dress you need to come out of the shower room to a middle space to dress but the door out is unlocked.
I couldn't not figure out a solution.
No care for customers, just a cold treatment from reception.
Last day before leaving my room I found two massive cockroaches in the toilet as I returned from breakfast. Killed one and the other ran into the bedroom. As I was about to leave the room at 10:30am for the checkout another cockroach dropped into the floor from the air conditioning ventilation. Three cockroaches in total, one killed and two on the run somewhere in the room.
Reported it to the receptionist (Layla) during the checkout but she seemed dismissive to the matter.
Restaurant, bar and cleaners were friendly.
SPA lady who did a massage for me was friendly and professional.
Ignore the all negative reviews.
This hotel is fantastic. I'm only writing this after one day as I feel the negative reviews are not justified at all.
The staff are fantastic, friendly welcoming attentive and very efficient. The room is amazing clean tidy and very modern.
The food whether it is breakfast, lunch or evening meal is amazing. There is a very large choice with excellent quality and high standard. The food is fresh , warm and regularly refreshed.
The drinks available on all inclusive are large and varied. With very Generous shots.
The negative views are not justified or acurate
Well what can I say! You get what you pay for! Cheap for all inclusive and adults only, 1st impressions was good clean spacious but really that’s where it ends! The food is good but everything daily is repetitive, but there is plenty and 3 times per day. Don’t rush for sunbathing gate opens at 10 but there is lots of sun beds. There are 3 pools none has music or any exercise classes there is a bar opens at 10am you have to pay 1 euro for a plastic glass and use this for any drinks during your stay around the pool area. There are 3 bars pool, lounge, entertainment. With only 4 staff so you will get to know the bar person. As your days pass you will see a lot more rubbish around bins not emptying for example. The shop down stairs is quite expensive and limiting. If you want a cleaner for your room is hit and miss, usually miss? We put the sign out for 3 days for a clean and towel change, but nothing we spoke with reception twice but still nothing? We went to reception and said how ridiculous this is and gave us fresh towels, and said the cleaner has gone home now? We have one day left and never seen a cleaner? There is so much potential here at this hotel but they don’t seem to want to improve! The hotel is quite a long way from any shops or bars, and up a steep hill.we jumped onto a bus about 2 miles away and went to the next town which took 40 mins drive, but had loads of shops and cafes and market with a great beach. Nearest beach to the hotel is approximately 2 miles. Entertainment in the hotel is nothing to shout about Mon, Weds, Friday. Mondays was rubbish only 12 people in we had one drink and left Weds was lots better but still only 24 people. Still to wait for tonight’s Friday act expectations are low. There is a good gym here which is really quiet. We haven’t been in the spar here, so can’t comment. This holiday was for a chill for us so that’s what we got! We have walked 3 miles in every direction of the hotel and there’s only an odd bar, shop, restaurant. Weather has been good so we are pleased. So the reviews are a mix and match but so is this hotel. The bars are open until 12am but you have to pay for drinks between 11.00 and 12.00. We have enjoyed it here but all we wanted was to chill. I did find it amazing how many solo, single people there is ? We did upgrade to junior suite extra £100 well worth it for large balconies and two sun beds and two chairs and table with south facing sun 😎
Started off promising when i arrived late and checked in to be told that as i’d missed food there was a plate of food that had been left in my room, yay! It’s just unfortunate that when I arrived at my room that the can of water and small selection of meat and cheese had actually been left on the dresser for what looked like most of the day and let’s not forget it’s not exactly a cold climate so tbf it wasn’t the most appetising meal i’d ever seen, booo! Room itself was great and looked clean though only gripe not enough clothes hangers so like me if your staying here bring some with you. So morning arrives and off I trot for my breakfast on my all inclusive and there is a lot of choice…..if you get there early but restaurant is clean and staff friendly. Then off to the pool oh it doesn’t open till 10am that’s a bit rubbish. Anyway when it finally opens there are plenty of sun beds and space available but omg it’s dead poolside all day, don’t get me wrong I wasn’t expecting a lively Ibiza type environment but absolutely zero atmosphere sucks bigtime! If it hadn’t been for the people I got talking to I’d have been bored rigid. Where’s the music? Happy holiday music to create that lovely holiday mood? Apparently they’d got rid of a lot of staff and music and entertainment seemed to be the main casualty both inside the hotel and out poolside. Anyway cutting long story short I’m glad I brought books to read. Lunch and dinner food wise again most days I found ok not the worst and not the best but omg “snack bar “ I use the word loosely as I expect snacks to be fresh cooked burgers, chips nuggets nah man just bits n bats of cold meats cheese etc shipped over from the restaurant left to curl up and die in the atmosphere! Where’s me lollies n crisps to snack on? Very poor. Entertainment…….absolutely dreadful! Random 3 days scheduled in a hot sticky room up on the 4th floor, felt sorry for the acts tbf who did try their best. This place could do so much better with the facilities and space it has plus having one person man the bars needs sorting! The person working the bar both in reception area and entertainment room doesn’t have time to clean the areas and collect glasses so you can guarantee if they get busy halfway through the night you start getting your drinks in disposable drinks cups used for hot drinks usually honestly it’s pitiful. I really could write soooo much more about this gaff and yes the stories you hear about pineapples and keys in a bowl (if you know you know) are true and Jacqueline and Donald would absolutely love this place, but don’t let that put you off as this at least gives the guests some entertainment discussing over our paper cups at night. All in all it’s an ok hotel but I definitely won’t be returning. My room was cleaned everyday and I didn’t get poorly, I was entertained by antics of fellow guests and made friends who also entertained me and kept me sane. Thankyou and adios x
Poor buffet quality. Primarily catering to Brits. (Chips at breakfast?)
Location is poor. Good 20 min hilly walk to get into town. Would struggle is you have a mobility issues.
Completely lacking any evening entertainment. Making it quite boring for a solo traveler.
All staff friendly and helpful. (Every chef, cleaner, house keeper saying ‘Hello’ throughout the day)
Clean all round.
A lot of large, underutilised areas. Shame.
