Placed right in the heart of Costa Calma, Hotel Taimar is a 4 star hotel, just 800 mtrs far from the beach, with the help of our allies the sunny weather and the gentle breeze from the Atlantic Ocean, time goes by on its own rhythm.
There are three different types of rooms at your disposal: our Junior Suite, built with an open terrace or a balcony; same Junior Suite, adapted for people with reduced mobility and finally a choice for those who are looking for an exclusive experience, our Premium Suite. All of our rooms are equipped with WiFi, air conditioning, TV, mini bar, kettle, safe, shower, hairdryer, among other facilities.
In Hotel Taimar you will find two different areas; on one side, there is the common garden, restaurant, pool bar, our stunning heated swimming pool and solarium, and on the other side, our Premium area adults only, with an independent access, where you will find two water zones and a solarium exclusively for Suites Premium use.
Regarding our services, enjoy our new brand buffet restaurant, and pool bar. Half board is available, which you can turn into all inclusive.
24 hours reception.
First of all, I can’t remember the last time I truly, completely relaxed for such a long period of time. Somehow, the wonderful team at Hotel Taimar and the place itself made that happen — and for that, I am incredibly grateful.
As a hotelier myself, having worked in hospitality for many years, I know how much effort goes on behind the scenes to create a great guest experience. I genuinely cannot praise the whole team enough for such an amazing stay.
The rooms are super spacious, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. A special thank you to the housekeeping team — unfortunately, I didn’t catch the name of the lovely lady looking after room section 081, but she deserves a huge thank you!
The bar and restaurant team — WOW, what a team! Always polite, friendly and smiling, even when incredibly busy between lunch and dinner service. I remember two names, Ahmed and Alid, but honestly, every single member of the team is a gem. You can really feel how much they care about their guests.
The swimming pool is a lovely medium size, clean and relaxing, with plenty of sunbeds for everyone — no morning battles or fights over them! 😊
The food was another highlight. My 13-year-old son and I genuinely enjoyed everything. There was always something to choose from and we were very happy with the variety throughout our 7-night all-inclusive stay.
The location is also fantastic for exploring the island. Costa Calma beach is just a lovely 10–15 minute slow walk away and is absolutely gorgeous.
A huge thank you to the entire Hotel Taimar team. You are an amazing bunch of people, and you made our holiday truly special.
We will definitely be back! ❤️
Thank you for everything! 🌴☀️
Lots of Pros: Great value for money, food choice excellent, really comfortable bed, plenty of space around the pool, smaller and more personal feel, clean, fridge and kettle in room, to mention just some of the positives. Some Cons: Quiet, food and drink not available all day
I really am at a loss reading all the previous reviews about pool size, entertainment and location... I can only presume that these people can either not read or do no research about the hotels they stay in prior to booking them: The beach is only 900 meters away about a ten minute walk (this is correct we did it) It does not say in the description there is any entertainment and if you read a few sensible reviews this is apparent (so no kids clubs or entertainment staff to palm your kids off on). There is no music at the pool which was great as it was either quiet of with those things called earbuds you can enjoy your own music without the hotel forcing their musical taste on you.
We paid £700 for one week for 2 on 17 August high season, the breakfast was great and the other 2 meals were totally acceptable for this price we always found something we liked and yes not always piping hot but have you EVER been all inclusive and been served piping hot food?? I agree that the sweet selection was poor but there was one and it all tasted fine.
The dining area would be a problem as previously stated in other reviews it is quite open to the elements so whilst this was not a problem in August as the weather was hot it would be pretty chilly in the winter months.
The rooms very lovely and large with good air con and the maid cleaned every day which you don't get at a lot of hotels now.
All staff I encountered were friendly and efficient.
So whilst I am singing this hotels praise for the price and I would stay here again I should point out that I would only stay here in the warmer months I would not stay here in the winter due to the open plan dining area, it is not well thought out and need to be enclosed.
Love Fuertaventura. Nice place pity about the dining for the price I paid at Hotel Taimar.
location - getting here from the airport it’s a hassle. if you manage to get on the bus L10 it’s no problem 10 minute walk from hotel. unfortunately the buses run as they please so best to HIRE A CAR and park outside hotel . it is around 20/30 minute walk to the shops and beach. closest shop is around the conner 2 minute walk .
Atmosphere - spacious and quiet , nothing happening here .
food - small selection but it was good we enjoyed breakfast and lunch , dinner not so much.
weather - we have gone beginning of july 2026 and the weather read 24/25 degrees but it was nice and warm .
rooms are decently sized with sofa , view my photos . i’m not sure if it was because we were on ground floor but we had little like fruit flies in our room , also outside our room were cockroaches at night.
there was a plate on the grass by sunbeds that wasn’t being picked up for the 4/5 days we’ve been there and cigarette ends .
