In the spectacular dunes in the north of Fuerteventura, Spain, stands the Hotel Riu Palace Tres Islas. The magnificent building enjoys a seafront location on Playa de Corralejo beach and boasts beautiful sea views. With its crystal clear waterand kilometres of sandy beaches it's not surprising that some of these dunes have been used by photographers and for advertisements on TV. Besides the excellent temperatures and atmosphere, the Palace offers you holidays where you can enjoy a well deserved rest during your stay. It includes two fresh water swimming pools, a solarium terrace, hot tub, sauna, gym and the “Renova Spa” health and beauty centre with a range of different treatments and massages. There's no better way to taste the typical flavours of the Canary Islands than by sampling the menus carefully prepared for you by our chefs.

Could be better
After visiting for a few years now, we felt that some standards had slipped, maybe due to the closure in October for the refurb. Some staff were quite rude and dismissive, while others very helpful. Heard of some issues other guests had which weren't dealt with very well at all, like losing their passports when checking in, advise is do not leave your passports with the reception while you go to eat, as we got to the hotel at 9pm, so were told to eat then go back for room key etc, we didn't have an issue but others did and the hotel were very unhelpful. Also rooms on the 1st level seemed to suffer from bugs, rooms had to be fumigated. We were on floor 5 so no issues. One morning the whole hotel's water system failed, so no water at all for a few hours. Food again was ok and lots of choice. TUI rep not that interested unless you wanted to book a trip. Would we go again, no, not before the refurb, as I can only think the issues will get worse, but once it's been done then yes if the cost doesn't rocket!
Return visit for R+R
Having stayed at Tres Islas before, I knew what to expect. My trip gave me the chance to rest, unwind and relax in comfortable surroundings with sunshine, beach views, walks and swims when the red flags weren't flying, with a variety of good food and good service. The only drawback was the number of towels on sunbeds that were never used during the day which meant some days I was unable to find a suitable sunbed i.e. with a shade to use during that day.

Horrible
The hotel is severely dated, and the carpets in my room were wet and dirty. My room was never hoovered unless I specifically requested it. My sheets remained wet and cold, making it impossible to sleep comfortably. The AC would not turn off despite repeated requests and even a technician’s visit. I slept cold every night and became ill. The fridge was not powered on and took an entire day to fix. The room was dusty, and the window did not close properly. A loud, frightening noise came through the AC vent for hours one evening, preventing me from sleeping. Reception could not explain the cause. The lift frequently stopped unevenly, causing me and other guests to trip. This was unsafe and unacceptable.
Awful experience staying here. Staff in restaurant told me to be quiet. They advertise 4 star but it’s not!
Fantastic Hotel.
The staff were so friendly and the food was excellent and always hit. The whole place was spotless The holiday was that good we have booked again for September so we can embrace the full experience this time

Another great visit.
My wife and I stayed at the Riu Tres Isla for our holidays, and this hotel reminded us exactly why we stay at Riu Hotels. The location is absolutely stunning, with beautiful views, direct access to the incredible beach, and a peaceful atmosphere that allowed us to completely relax. The hotel itself was spotless throughout our stay, and it was clear that the staff take great pride in maintaining such high standards. What really made the holiday special was the team. From reception to housekeeping, restaurant staff, and the bar team, everyone was friendly, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. Their hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed and made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we arrived. The food offered plenty of choice, with fresh ingredients and something different to enjoy each day. We particularly enjoyed spending our evenings relaxing with a drink while taking in the beautiful surroundings. As long-time RIU customers, we appreciate consistency, and this hotel delivered exactly that. It provided the perfect balance of relaxation, comfort, and excellent service. We have returned home with wonderful memories and are already looking at future RIU holidays. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We hope to return again in the future.
