Lovely hotel , location is great , we went all inclusive which is where the hotel lets itself down , u are made feel like second class citizens one u have the band on some of the staff are so rude and unhelpful at all , but others where so nice and couldnt do enough for guests the rstaurant food was quite good not big options but themed nights so always something to eat , food at pool bar tho was always freezing and if kids wanted pizza u still have to pay 12 euro for it although u are all inclusive the coctails for all inclusive are from a machine and not very nice but if u are paying u get the proper made coctails from the bar staff , same as the beer u pour yourself was just foam most the times , we had to get the beer from the restaurant before it closed as it was better in there , the games room is quite big at the bar for kids but beware half the machines dont work and keep the money and others that do work cost wise for kids u will spend money there , the entertainment is very basic , no kids entertainment only 1 girl doing 3 songs and face painting at 6 pm to 6.15 pm then 2 piece bands on from 8.30 to 10 pm and nothing after that not even backround music , our room was spotless on arrival but was only cleaned 2 days for the whole 10 days we where there and had to go reception for clean towels which was charged 1 euro per towel , we had sliding doors and when we where out while the cleaner did come in she left the door open after she finished anyone could have went into the room and when u lock the doors inside , make sure u put the catch on because it will seem locked inside , but walk outside and u can just slide the doors open , so unless the catches are on the rooms are not very secure , we would go back and stwy here again , but defo wouldnt go all inclusive
Las Marismas - Hotel Review
We went to the Las Marismas with our family . We all had standard 1 bedroom apartments. They were all recently painted and had all the equipment needed n the kitchen if you wished to cook. Rooms were cleaned regularly throughout our weeks stay . Only one negative for one of the rooms as had a lot of insects , but hotel responded quickly and sprayed room to try and resolve .
The resort has 3 pools , all were kept very clean and sun bed area was washed down daily . Plenty of sunbeds available with cushions for extra comfort . I am not sure if pool was heated , but it was pleasant to swim in even for young children.
We chose bed and breakfast , the buffet breakfast was excellent , staff, food options were outstanding . Also had a a chef who would cook your eggs options to order. We couldn’t fault it .
The pool bar was very reasonably priced ,although service was alittle slow on occasions overall it was good. Portions were big especially for children .
A good onsite supermarket which you could get all the basics .
The hotel has a cashless system where you use your room number and name for all purchases . You then pay at the end of your stay .
Staff very friendly in all areas, especially Denise on Reception who went above and beyond and made us feel welcome from arrival to departure.
Entertainment was good , more than adequate for all ages . Kids club available daily , apart from Saturday.
It is about 10 min walk to top of town , but takes another 15 mins to get town beach .
The hotel was excellent value for money , we will definitely return .
October visit
This was our 3 rd year at this complex and it will be our last. Our room was overlooking the staff car park even though I had emailed and asked if we could have one closer to the pool or the shop due to mobility issues. We had quite a lot of steps to get to the shop . Felt like because we had been before we were just put anywhere. . Room had very musty smell in the cupboards as well . If you are thinking of maybe going all inclusive then please re consider . The food options aren’t that great and the drinks aren’t good. A pour yourself larger pump with disposable cups ! We went self catering and there are so many options of places to eat in a ten minute walk . Shop on site is not bad at all. Prices the same as the bigger supermarkets. The one thing that really spoilt it for us which is nothing the resort can help was the amount of children that were there. We go this time of year so it will be quieter but it was really loud this year. ( I have nothing against kids at all ) kids screaming all day in the pool . Luckily the baby pool was a nice peaceful place to read and relax in . Sunbeds are wooden and there are mattress's to put on them. These were difficult to find if you were later at the pool. Some of them are all battered as well as. Entertainment is low key. Either duo or single singers. Not too bad to sit and listen to with a drink . Location is good as not far from shops or restaurants. Also water park nearby which people say is good value .
Ants!!Ants!! Ants!!! Uncomfortable beds! Beds!Beds!
Stayed here before and loved it but have just returned and don't think we'll be back. The reception staff were not very friendly to us on arrival and ignored us when we were asking for directions to our room. The room itself was a massive let down we had a huge problem with ants they were everywhere. We booked 3 adults, i did ask a few months before arrival if I could pay for an extra room told this was not possible but hoped the 1 bedroom accommodation would be ok but the bed provided in the lounge area was awful. Not suitable at all for my adult son so he has had a very uncomfortable sleepless 2 weeks. So I guess the hotel is great depending on where your room is located. Very pretty grounds and good pools even though a dead bird on side of pool the other day!!!. Not too keen on new system of food and drinks added to a tab on your room. Hard to keep track of and a bit ridiculous for hotel to expect holiday goers to keep receipts. All in all its a good hotel a bit dated. Furniture from the 1970s very nostalgic!!! A good 15 to 20 min walk to beach and the square about 35mins walk so its a fab location to hit the 10k step target each day!! Good for the money.

Still a good value for money complex
Just back from another pleasant stay at this hotel.We normally stay self catering and had no issues.The rooms are spacious and cleaned frequently .We always believe we have good value for money here. In honesty we only had dealings with the reception staff and pool bar girls and we found them obliging ,professional and helpful. The pools are especially clean,no matter what others may report.The guy who cleans the periphery of the pool is an unsung hero and work horse and deserves special praise. My downside comment is that they need someone to help others to find their rooms when arriving late in the dark.I can tell the manager that he should put himself in our position and he would find he would have a different opinion.
