Labranda Corralejo Village

We have just returned from a week’s stay at BLUESEA Corralejo Village and, unfortunately, we don’t feel this hotel lives up to its advertised 4-star rating.

The biggest disappointment for us was the food. Most of the buffet food was lukewarm, quite tasteless and became very repetitive over the course of the week. We actually found lunch to be better than the evening meals, but overall we felt the quality of the food was poor for a hotel marketed as a 4-star all-inclusive.

We had particularly looked forward to the BBQ night, but unfortunately this was also disappointing. The steak we were served was very fatty, extremely tough and undercooked, so we couldn’t enjoy it.

Another issue was the number of additional charges. For an all-inclusive holiday, we were surprised by how many things weren’t actually included. There were extra charges for things such as ice creams, premium drinks, wines and Balinese beds. We appreciate that some premium items being chargeable is fairly normal, but there seemed to be a lot of extras here, which takes away from the feeling of being on an all-inclusive holiday.

Customer service at reception was also disappointing. Unfortunately, we didn’t find reception particularly helpful when we needed assistance, and the level of customer service there wasn’t what we would expect from a 4-star hotel.

The evening entertainment was another area that we felt let the hotel down. The entertainment team themselves were always friendly and helpful and did a good job organising activities throughout the day. However, when it came to the live entertainment in the evenings, we found the standard quite disappointing and felt it could have been much better for a hotel of this rating.

On a more positive note, our room was cleaned every day, which was a really nice touch and something we appreciated throughout our stay. The housekeeping staff did a good job of keeping the room clean and tidy.

We also want to give credit where it is due. The majority of the staff around the hotel were lovely. They were polite, friendly, hardworking and helpful, and for us they are what really makes this hotel. Our criticism certainly isn’t aimed at the staff as a whole because many of them were excellent.

There are positives to BLUESEA Corralejo Village, and we enjoyed being in Corralejo, but based on our own experience we simply couldn’t rate the hotel as a genuine 4-star all-inclusive.

With improvements to the quality, variety and temperature of the food, better customer service at reception, a higher standard of evening entertainment and fewer additional charges — or at least much clearer expectations about what is and isn’t included — this could be a much better experience.

Overall, the hardworking and friendly staff are the hotel’s biggest strength, but unfortunately the food and overall all-inclusive experience didn’t meet our expectations. Based on our stay, we wouldn’t choose to return.

Terrible do not book an apartment there are not located on site they are 100m down de road in a run down 2 star alios playa apartments.. The place is very worn out looking and apartment’s are too pool was closed first 3 days there and absolutely no facilities on site not even a public toilet and when you walk up to the hotel after 3 days and ask for some fresh towels to be told no only every 7 days an absolute joke staff were not helpful at all it’s lik your treated different because you booked an apartment and not a hotel room which I may add was never once made clear on the booking process that the apartments were not on site or even have any pictures of de actual apartments I think it’s false advertisement and should be not allowed stay away at all costs don’t waste your money
