H10 Ocean Dunas

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at H10 Ocean Dunas Hotel in Fuerteventura and couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The hotel is beautiful, welcoming, and has a lovely relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their kindness and professionalism really made our experience even more special.

We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, and we were very impressed with the food. The breakfast was fresh, delicious, and offered a great variety of choices. Everything tasted amazing and was clearly prepared with care.

As a couple, we really enjoyed the peaceful and comfortable atmosphere of the hotel. Our entire stay was excellent from beginning to end, and we genuinely loved everything about our experience.

H10 Ocean Dunas is a fantastic place to stay, and we would happily return without hesitation. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for making our holiday so enjoyable and memorable. We absolutely loved our stay!

On arrival, we were quickly checked in and whisked straight to dinner as it was just after 9pm, when we returned, our cases were waiting for us in our room. On first impression, you can tell that this is a modern, small and intimate hotel.

We stayed in a junior suite on a half board basis. The room is large, modern and spotlessly clean with a very large and comfortable bed. The air conditioning was strong and kept the room at a comfortable temperature throughout our stay. For such a large room, I felt that there was not quite enough storage space for a week’s stay. The rooms would benefit with a few more shelves for clothes and toiletries. The bathroom is also large and clean. However, on our first day, we noticed that the water pressure in the shower was poor, after speaking to reception, this was promptly dealt with. Towards the end of our stay, the bathroom flooded, this is clearly the reason why the pressure was low to start with. I made reception aware at check out. We loved the large balcony overlooking the pool with sun loungers. On our side of the hotel, we had the sun in the afternoon, which was perfect for us, we often stayed out there until the early evening.

We loved the pool area, there is very little noise, no entertainment, no aqua aerobics and most importantly, no children! It is complete and total relaxation. We were spoiled for choice for sun loungers, no matter what time of the day. There is a small pool which is perfectly fine for the number of guests at the hotel, I never saw more than a handful of people in the pool at any time.

Breakfast had a varied selection with fresh pastries, fruit, meats, cereal and most items for an English Breakfast. It kept us full until dinner time! We enjoyed dinner every night. While starters and dessert are buffet style, the main course is served à la carte. The menu is small but with a good variety of dishes. I would say that there is enough choice for a week, but if you’re staying longer, you may end up repeating meals. We particularly enjoyed the pasta dishes, especially the lasagne, but every meal that we had was tasty. We made sure to book at reception each day in order to eat on the terrace, I attempted to book on the H10 app but it did not work.

The location is fantastic! Right in the centre of Corralejo, with its many bars, restaurants and shops right on its doorstep along with the beach at the bottom of the street. There is something for everyone in Corralejo, whether it is something more relaxed or more lively.

Overall, despite some very minor issues, we had a brilliant and relaxing holiday in this great little hotel. I would highly recommend this to any couple and we will definitely return.

Everything about this hotel is great…apart from one thing, the air conditioning in the room is abysmal, 31 degrees in our room (203). The hotel must know the air conditioning is poor as they have a card permanently put in the electricity slot so the air con is on 24 hours a day but it’s still inadequate. I asked at reception for a fan and was told they only had 2 and they were been used by other guests (approx 40 rooms in hotel) and I was put on the list for a fan, never heard another thing. What saved my holiday was buying a fan (from the shop with the black and white cow outside) best 20 euros I’ve ever spent, as it was absolutely impossible for me to sleep in that heat.
