This hotel is absolutely amazing the peace & tranquility by the pool is fabulous. The best breakfast ever the choice & flavor is 100%. The room has plenty soaps & toiletries & bed extremely comfy, will definitely be returning.
Oh my goodness, what a fantastic hotel!! We could not have picked a better hotel for the most relaxing week away. The location was perfect, right next to the beautiful beach and main strip for restaurants and bars. Special thanks to Alex on reception for our warm welcome when we arrived late in the evening and nothing being too much trouble for him and to all of the staff at the restaurant and the cleaning staff, you were wonderful! If you want adults only, relaxation and the perfect location please book here you will not be disappointed. We had a superior garden room which was lovely, room 135 and had the sun on the balcony mid morning and full evening. We were B&B and breakfast was delicious! The choice was great each morning. We also stayed in the hotel for dinner a couple of nights as it was extremely hot to venture out and the food was fab! If you like steak El Patio across the street is great, for live music in the afternoon Palm Beach bar at the beach, along from Toro was a great laugh, the staff are brilliant! Music square is a 5mins walk along the strip then wander down the alleys to the marina for the best restaurants! We will be back 💕
Just back from a stay at H10 Dunas and loved it. We had a junior suite which was spacious and overlooked the pool. Can see why some people may be disappointed as a couple of junior suites views are obscured by trees. The room was cleaned /bed made every day to a great standard
No rush for pool beds, there are plenty for all. The pool is quiet all day with no music /games which was what we were after.
Short walk to the beach. Sunbeds on the local beach were €20 for two with umbrella - I have paid more in Spain for same.
We were B&B, the breakfasts had plenty of choice for all. We chose to venture out at night for dinner as the choice is plentiful at music square (with live music) and by the harbour. Fillet steak - €24.
Friendly staff and the gym looked great. I say looked as I never used it! Two floors and no lift but there was a stair lift for guests.
If you want to be entertained all day by the pool this is not for you but for chilling - great.
We stayed here for two weeks and overall it was good. The hotel says it was recently refurbished this was back in 2018 so not so recent and a bit misleading. I will review each section of the hotel below. Location. Just out of the centre of Corallejo towards the water park. It is in the middle of bars/restaurants and shops. Fuertaventra is windy and dusty so if dust bothers you Fuertaventura isn't for you. Even though the hotel is in a busy area it is very quiet and relaxed inside the hotel and pool area. Staff. 10 out of 10 for the staff. They are very helpful and seem to be happy working for H10. I have found this the case in all the H10 hotels we have visited so can only assume they are a good employer. Rooms. There is a choice of 4 rooms you will only get 3 of them if you book through a tour operator. The double rooms with a balcony are directly facing the main road and shops and are above shops. They have a terrace area with a table and seating. The superior rooms are at the back of the hotel overlooking the garden and covered seating area. They also have a terrace area and table and seats. The junior suites are all around the pool area and have a big terrace area with sun loungers and a table and seats. There is also the superior sea view rooms which are directly sold on the H10 web site. We were in these, in the room that is pictured on the site although its a bit more lived in looking now. There are 3 of these rooms and we had the best one for views and space. There is one situated below this room and has a much smaller patio area. There is also one a bit further back from the one we had and the patio looks about the same size from what I could see. These rooms do look out to sea but also the pubs etc below and it is a busy/noisy street at night if that bothers you. Once you shut the door you cant hear anything. This room is on the 2nd floor and has its own staircase that no one else uses but there is no lifts so if you have mobility issues don't book it. The cleaning of the room was ok but the patio area never got cleaned properly especially the tiles. The glass could have been cleaned once a week I know dust is a problem but felt this let it down a bit. There is a couple of sun loungers and a table and chairs on the patio but unless you really like the sun and heat it was unusable until about 3pm when the sun moved. I would suggest a parasol be put on it to make it more usable. The room had a couple of chairs but could have done with a small table as we had to drag the patio one in when needed. There is a coffee machine, kettle and fridge in the room.Coffee/tea is replaced every day. The bathroom was large with a lovely walk in shower with a rain head and normal head. There are plenty of plugs and usb charging ports. Restaurant. There is only one restaurant for all meals. You can go B&B,half board or full board. I would suggest either B&B or half board as there are plenty of restaurants near by and the lunch menu is limited and never changes. Breakfast is buffet style and has a good range of cooked/cold and pastries. For dinner you have to order your main course along with your drinks. There is a good choice of meals and if you are here for a week it will be plenty. We were here for two weeks so we swapped a few dinners for lunch and ate out a few times. The menus are the same every day with a special. There is a buffet for your starters and puddings. The main course is brought out after you finish your starters. We thought this was a really good idea and added to the relaxed feeling of the hotel. If you have lunch its between 1pm-3pm and you order a starter to share then a main and pudding each. Like I mentioned this is a limited menu and never changes with no specials. The only thing we didn't like was there was no area to go and have a drink after dinner. The only option was to stay at your table or sit in the smoking area. The bar area was under refurbishment so maybe put some tables and chairs in the pool area?. Pool area. We were here in August so presume its peak season for visitors?. We never had a problem getting a lounger and there was only one or two people blocking beds up early and not using them for hours. There are parasols so you can get some shade if your not into getting cooked. It was a very relaxed and quiet vibe around the pool and we loved it. Hotel in general. Medium sized hotel with 2 floors and a lower floor area near the back. There are no lifts but a lot of rooms are ground level. I would email the hotel if you like a specific room and have mobility issues. There are areas where it is starting to look tired but not horrific. There was a few leaks from the roof in the dining area which seemed to reoccur. Hopefully H10 will invest some money into this hotel soon. Overall we had a great time and the hotel is what we expected from H10.
This is our 2nd stay at Ocean Dunas in a Junior Suite, there is alot to like about this hotel, hence a return visit, close to beach, amenities and eateries.
Staff are so polite, food and restaurant staff are fabulous.
We love that there are no towel wars around the pool and never a problem getting a sun lounger any time of day, a massive bonus
However, there were some downfalls to our recent stay… our air conditioning was horrendous, 4 vents in our room, however, only one worked and temperature did not drop below 26.9 degrees, despite maintenance saying it worked fine, our room was very spacious, and the air conditioning did just not cool the room at all, we were eventually given a fan after asking 4 times.
The hotel is immaculate, windows cleaned constantly, however our balcony had glass panels on 3 sides, which were filthy, as was our balcony on arrival, cup marks on table, cigarette butts thrown over the sides, seems room contents swept onto balcony each day, hair, crumbs, ….. minor problem, however attention to detail is important.
Lastly, ants in the room were a problem, also overheard others complaining about this, ours were specifically around the tea and coffee making facilities, cups/glasses etc, when complained about this, the room was sprayed, however, was a problem over the 10 days we stayed.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay, however, were disappointed that there was some missed attention to detail that we had experienced during our first stay.
