Buendia Corralejo Nohotel

We have just returned from a weeks stay and we cannot fault it. It is just lovely. The Apartment was ideal for us as a family of 4. Two kids aged 11 and 16. It was very spacious and comfortable.

The pool area was beautiful, you do need to get down quite early if you want a sunbed first thing. But we did find that by the afternoon, quite a few people had left and there were more beds available, which is ideal when the day starts off cloudy, as it usually means you are in for a beautifully hot and sunny afternoon.

We only had Breakfast once while here, but we couldn't fault it, there was plenty of choice. We ate from the pool bar once and our kids really loved the Nachos with pulled pork and also the fries with cheese and bacon.

The staff were amazing, everyone was so friendly and helpful. We had some issues with our room when we arrived, but it was dealt with in such a professional manner that it was all resolved the next day. We cannot leave this review without saying that Selena & Alvaro, who work on reception are an absolute credit to the company. They were so helpful and understanding when we had issues, they couldn't do enough to help us. It made the situation so much easier. We hope they get the recognition the deserve.

The walk to the old town, main town and beaches is not too far, about 10 mins on foot. We found Google maps very helpful at first. We had expected to need to get a taxi back, but it really was not far at all. There are lots of beautiful bars and restaurants nearby, the ones on the sea front are more expensive because of their location though. We went to a Tapas Bar called La Pulperia-Tapas Bar, (not on the front) and it was by far the best meal we had all holiday, and probably one of our best meals out ever! If you are looking for somewhere to eat, we cannot recommend it enough.

There are a few supermarkets nearby where you can get all you need and more while self catering.

We would absolutely stay here again.

We have had a wonderful week at the Buendia, our first time here and it won’t be the last. We arrived to a very warm welcome from Sebastian - he couldn’t have been more helpful or kind. We had a 2 bedroom roof terrace apartment that was clean and spacious and equipped with good amenities. My only complaint would be that the bathroom was very small and could do with an update. We had other family staying at the Buendia and they said exactly the same, it in no way affected our lovely week here. It’s very relaxed, a nice chilled vibe. It’s a 5 minute walk to Music Square and Calle Iglesias- the latter has a great little collection of restaurants and cocktail bars. The pool and the &Waves pool bar is great. Good bar food, huge portions! They have a performer on every other afternoon, adding to the relaxed and laid back vibe. It’s not often I’m tempted to go back to somewhere, but I’ll definitely make an exception for the Buendia.

Excellent stay at this hotel. The staff are super friendly and nothing was too much. The WhatsApp chat worked really well also! We stopped in a duplex pool side apartment with front access from the main road. No problem as the apartment had everything we need for self catering. The windows do need to be open along with the fans to keep the rooms cool but this wasn’t an issue. I love the fact that the hotel didn’t seem the need for energy wasting air con and towel cleaning everyday and promoted recycling. The whole stay was really chilled! The vibe around the pool was great and the sunbeds were super cosy! Loved the water beds also! I made good use out of the gym. On our last day we were allowed an extra hour to check out (until 12) after that there were charges to keep the room depending on how long you wanted it for. We were still treated as their guest up to leaving about 5pm ish and made good use of the facilities, storage room and basement shower facilities. Free pool and football table also. Loved the place and will definitely be returning if we come to Corralejo again!
