Arena Beach

We arrived around 9.25pm and were the only ones checking in, you get dropped at the top of the street as the road is too narrow for a bus. Check in was smooth and the receptionist was lovely, we were given our bands, key cards and safe key and told where to go. Also inform the restaurant finished at 9.30 but there would be food at 10pm.

Our room was great, bottom floor with patio overlooking pool, sun all day, sofa bed. Kitchen, TV, kettle, bathroom, hairdryer, shower gel, bedroom with very comfy bed and the aircon was the best we have had.

Food, we made our way at 10pm for some food! There was a bowl of yellow rice and a bowl of lettuce and tomatoes, that was it! Absolutely disgusting, we had been travelling all day, im sure it wouldn't have been too much trouble to put some cold meat out for a sandwich or even leave some soup warming from dinner. We managed to find some bread cobs and a tub of ice cream. The hotel really needs to look in to this.

Food rest of the week was basic, what I had was nice but its very limited. No kids section at all, very basic salad station and the same 2 soups on rotation, pizza was nice and some pork I had. I do understand this is a 3 star hotel so wasn't expecting 4/5 star standard.

Pool bar does hot dogs, chips and burgers, I didnt try these. Drinks were okay, help yourself beer and soft drinks, tea and coffee. Mixer drinks are what you normally get abroad. Never really had to wait long either.

Pool area was great, tiles very slippy. Pool lovely to swim in and always got a sun bed. Music around the pool too through the day. Hotel has an on site shop which was small but great too.

Entertainment team put on various activities in the day and they were lovely.

Staff were very friendly.

Location, so the hotel is a good 20 min walk to the harbour / music square. 10 min walk to popcorn beach and 5 min walk to a lovely shopping centre including bars and restaurants also a huge supermarket.

We ate out at poco loco and la tasca twice, beautiful restaurants.

Would i return to the hotel, no but it ticked the boxes for what we expected of a cheap and cheerful short 5 night stay. Unfortunately my heart stays with calete de fuste too as a resort.

Very nice clean hotel. I thing every apartment has a pool view. Snack bar was horrible hotdogs and restaurants food was not the best but you can test everything and find something you like. Beer was ok nothing special. There is a nice upstairs bar where you get real glasses rather than the plastic ones Unfortunately I’m a smoker and there is limited places to smoke. They did have 4 tables outside the restaurant but Theve put non smoking stickers on these now. And you will be told off Apartments are nice size for two ppl also has a pull out sofa , fridge freezer kettle , microwave etc. 25 min walk into town ( flat) or €5 taxi. Taxis are easy to get
