A family hols and we enjoyed & made the most of it 😀 Im still getting over seeing mice running around childrens pool area whilst we were sitting there & children playing omg ! I have travelled extensively & stayed in places all over the world, I have never experienced this around a childrens pool ! I told staff at reception not sure what was done about it ,i got impression they knew ! And ive just read it in a previous review ! So rooms not cleaned properly, cold food ! Drinks just werid tastes ,smells just yuk ,hotel needs a complete over haul ! Drinks from day before left un collected from areas sticky tables just not up to a general standard at all ! Italian restaurant was lovely although they didn't come round much to offer more drinks or dessert! Not much staff seems to be a problem! Staff were very friendly, entertainment team fantastic in our opinion, done their best with what they got . Not much around area very baron landscape , nice little shopping centre next door , we ate there too was so nice to eat hot food with taste ! Definitely room for improvement please take not sort your mice ,vermin issue !
We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights. Absolutely loved it. Food was great with plenty of choice. My kids are very fussy but there was always something for them. Staff were all lovely, helpful and the hotel had a welcoming atmosphere. Our room was a sea view priority on the 5th floor. The room was clean and spacious with lovely views. The entertainment at night was very good with a good range of activities for the kids and families throughout the day. There is a shopping centre next door with amusements and tenpin bowling and a cinema that plays english films one night a week. There are more bars around a 20 minute walk along towards the harbour.
Had the best holiday with my 2 kids. We will definitely return next year
Had a weeks stay at the Elba Sara and had a fantastic time! Check in was quick and easy and the welcome drink was a lovely touch.. we had a junior suite and was honestly the most beautiful room with the biggest balcony ive ever seen! The room was always clean and tidy as with the rest of the hotel, my 2 children were sick during our stay (through no fault of the hotel) and when notified at reception the beds had been changed and towels replaced within half an hour.. Never struggled to find 4 sunbeds together without having to get up at the crack of dawn.. Food was lovely, always something for everyone.. The best thing about this hotel is it's entertainment team who work from morning till night, with things for all ages.. Friendly and fun my daughter absolutely loved the Aladdin and Lion king show! Our holiday was amazing and we didnt want to leave, would return in a heartbeat!
We have not long got back from a week’s stay at this hotel. Upon reading the original great reviews it had made us want to book.
We arrived the back end of their busy period so things quietened down half way through the week, at first it was hard to reserve a sun bed so if your travelling during peak times expect to be up by 7/8am to reserve a decent sun bed with a parasol. By the later end of the week we were finding decent beds at 10am no problem.
Breakfast and lunch there is plenty of choice the food is always cooked fresh (sometimes would be warm rather than hot) however it is very repetitive with the options, we ate out for dinner most nights as we are picky eaters but the Mexican night was definitely the best!
The biggest let down for us was the cleanliness of the rooms, the floors were never swept/mopped, if we had cups/glasses in the room they wasn’t taken. It was pretty much bed made and bin emptied. When they did change our sheets we had ones with holes in. We needed to change our towels and their note even said to leave them in the bathroom floor for them to be replaced. They took our towels and left us with none, we had to chase this up with reception 4 times. We got our towels after nearly 2 hours of asking which isn’t great when you have young children to get ready for dinner.
I would like to point out on one occasion our room was cleaned thoroughly and towels were replaced regardless. So I think it’s more who is doing your room at the time possibly.
There have been comments regarding cutting of wrist bands on check out. We never had ours cut and flew with jet2 evening flight not sure if that makes a difference, but they do have that information on the sheet they give you at check in that all inclusive stops after 12pm. I think it’s more whether who checks you out & enforces the rules perhaps. Definitely not ideal to worry about if you have a young family.
Besides that you can see all the staff do really work hard and don’t stop. We did have a lovely time here but don’t think we would return due to the cleanliness side of things.
Entertainment team were great and staff were very friendly particularly towards my just turned 1 year old. Unfortunately the rooms are barely cleaned, very dirty floors and bathroom wasn’t touched the whole time we were there besides sorting the towels. We had ants the whole stay, in bathroom, main room and crawling on us in bed but we didn’t make this a problem to reception as have a 1 year old crawler so wouldn’t be able to put anything down so we tried to sort ourselves. We were worried all week about getting our wristbands cut as had a late flight but we kept ours on, would be nice to not have had to worry about it though with 2 young children. We don’t personally reserve sunbeds ever, but we had to at this hotel as people are out there early hours putting towels on beds and we didn’t want to miss out on the pool as we did the first 4 days. Drinks weren’t very consistent in the restaurants and bars, all tasted different and personally didn’t think they were great. Would benefit from having a machine in the restaurants for fizzy drinks such as coke etc as we only ever got 1 drink at meals as no staff to ask as all busy and not seen and no options besides water and fruit juice to help yourself to. Staff were great though and working really hard all day and night. Lion king show was great, we loved the white party also. Restaurant had plenty of options and having a 1 year old with multiple food allergies was actually a breeze. Everything is labelled and they have different milk options available too. Thank you!!
