We went June 2026 as a family of 5 with 3 children aged from 5 to 14 years old. Our expectations werent high due to some of the reviews and also because it was reasonably priced for 5 of us AI. I have to say we had a mixed experience and there were some positives, as well as the negatives. Firstly we were given a 2 bedroomed bungalow in block C which was a good location and close to the main pool. Our room was spacious but i have to say a little tatty. Although the furniture was okay, the walls could have used a fresh paint. We arrived late at night and found the air con unit was leaking (into the light switch), so had to turn it off. Maintenance came the next day and it stopped for a short period and then started leaking again. At least this time not into the light switch. We decided not to move rooms as we were in a good spot tucked away, so just kept moping it up. Half way through the week we realised the shower was leaking too, so the tiles in living area were always squelchy after use. The beds were hard. Didnt bother us for first few days as we were tired but after that it was hard to sleep. The pools were freezing, but you soon got used to it. Another negative was the entertainment, or i feel lack of. Our 5 year old wasnt bothered to join the kids disco. Having said all this there were some positives. The food was typical AI but good and we always found something to eat. Staff work hard and we didnt mind the cup policy, as it meant less mess around the pool. The little one enjoyed the small pool as the main pool was a bit too deep for her. The kids enjoyed the snacks, hot dogs, nachos. The area is nice and a nice walk down to town with lots of shops and bars. Overall, despite the issues we still had a good time.
Five days in the sun with my adult daughter. For what we paid, really happy. All inclusive the food is great, lots of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is still the usual ‘beige’ options for the more discerning British palette, such as pizza, nuggets and chips galore. But a great selection for those braving trying something new and for dieters or vegetarians lots of choice. Three pools, yes not heated if you come in January! £10 euro deposit for the safety deposit box in the room which is not that big. Fabulous little bungalows, kettle and a fridge, drying rack and a terrace. Aircon unit in lounge area and bedroom and a tv. Walk into the resort about 15 minutes (Britain central) it looked much better at night. All inclusive range of drinks included a good non alcoholic selection. Supermarket nearby and the obligatory Irish bar. Not much in the way of entertainment if that is your thing! I am well travelled but have also camped, so four walls always welcome. Very near the airport, under a landing strip which is great if you have a plane spotter in the group. Would definitely consider coming back. Staff are lovely.
Although we arrived at 11pm we didn't have any water no food and anyway of buying provisions.we are stopping in so called bungalows they are run down dirty none of the tvs work I can blow faster and cooler than the air conditioning.when booking this accommodation the pictures looked brilliant.however the bungalow my kids are staying in has a large hole in the bathroom roof.rant over see what the morning brings
We stayed at Blue Sea Club Caleta Dorada in June, and overall we had a good experience.
The best part of our stay was definitely the staff. Mohammed in the restaurant was absolutely brilliant and deserves recognition for his excellent service. The cleaning lady in Block C was also fantastic – she kept our room spotless and was always helpful whenever we needed anything. The gentleman with the braids who worked at the pool bar and also served during dinner was friendly, hardworking, and a real credit to the hotel. The reception staff were also lovely and welcoming throughout our stay.
Our room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. We didn’t have any issues with cockroaches, although we did notice a few ants, so it’s best not to leave food lying around.
The biggest disappointment was the all-inclusive cocktails. There was only a “cocktail of the day,” which meant you couldn’t choose the cocktail you wanted. The quality and variety of the cocktails could definitely be improved.
Overall, I would rate the hotel 4 out of 5 stars. I would give the cocktails 2 out of 5, but the excellent staff, clean rooms, and welcoming reception team easily deserve 5 out of 5 for their service. Thank you to everyone who made our stay enjoyable!
This was our 2nd visit…..and for the price it cannot be faulted. We stay in room 65 by the pool. I left a 5 star review last year and really this is a repeat of that. The food is plentiful and appetising it is presented well. The staff are a treat especially Maria..Venetia (sure this is spelt 😑 wrong sorry) and Orlando was outstanding on the bar. There was a great mix of people that made a lovely atmosphere we stayed round pool B most of the time. The room was clean comfortable and quiet at nighttime. We went to the upper pool entertainment a couple of times we watched one young lady who was remarkably entertaining and enjoyable think she was called Amy and I believe the Sax player was outstanding. There is also a washing machine available I have used it each time we have stayed it works well and you only need half the clothes (I did take some washing pods with me) it costs €5 per load but it is a bigger than normal size machine you can get a lot in. I have seen some bad reviews and really can’t relate to them. We didn’t have any problems however the people we spoke to who did e.g fridge or air con not working properly said they reported it at reception and the maintenance man was at the room before they got back. All in all this is an outstanding resort for the price. I’m sure we will be back.
