The apartments are situated in three different areas within the gardens of the complex, each with its own separate swimming pool. Great week, would return
Visited for a week with my two daughters. Had a lovely week and exactly what you would expect from 3* all inclusive. Room was basic but fine. With two picky eaters they still managed to eat well. Javier and the entertainment team really made the week great fun and did a brilliant job. We would definitely return and do longer next time.
Not suitable if you have limited walking ability
Only gave 3 stars due to unsuitability for us due to walking issues. Otherwise a very good hotel to stay at. I read all the reviews before we booked. I was really surprised no-one mentioned the steep slopes here. Totally unsuitable for anyone with walking disability like my husband. In fact, there were several people who hired mobility scooters while we were there. The hotel operates on several levels with restaurant, bungalows and pools all on different levels. Our original bungalow was up a steep slope. We asked to be moved but it was to a lower grade bungalow more inland but it was actually fine. It was clean, spacious and suited our needs. We stayed in Bungalow 11 which is a very short walk up 6 steps to the second pool & bar. Then a slope up to the restaurant. Still quite a lot but just about doable for my husband. Food was great, lots of choice & what you'd expect from a buffet style restaurant. Staff were friendly. The beer in the bar and restaurant was excellent, as was the red wine on tap in the restaurant. Hotel was generally clean and well maintained. Someone else mentioned cockroaches in another review. We only saw one behind our fridge literally as we were leaving our bungalow to come home so reported to reception.
If you arrive late, there will be no coffee, tea or water in your fridge so maybe pack a few teabags etc to bring with as there is no supermarket on site. We got a cab into the Centre Commerciale El Castillo (5 mins in cab, approx €5) and found a large supermarket HyperDino with other tourist type shops around, a great bar that serves good English breakfast and you must try FADO Rock Steak House if you like a big hearty meal.
