We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Hotel Chatur Costa Caleta, and we couldn't be happier with our experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond. The receptionist was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They kindly arranged to change our room to a different floor that was much safer and more practical for the kids, which we appreciated so much. The activities and entertainment for the children were absolutely amazing—there was always plenty of great stuff to keep them happy and occupied. To top it all off, the food was easily some of the best we’ve ever had for an all-inclusive stay. There was fantastic variety and everything tasted great. A massive thank you to the whole team for making our family holiday so special. We would definitely return!
If your diet consist of chips, burgers, nuggets and pizza this isn't the place for you. We enjoyed our holiday here. The hotel is currently being updated but this doesn't affect the holiday makers. The pools are clean and the lifeguards are very observant. The food is OK. It caters for all nationalities. We have 2 coeliac in our group and they were very accommodating. Providing us with bread biscuits cereals crackers and cake. There was plenty to eat and drink . The rooms were basic and didn't have a fridge in. We was able to keep the baby's bottles cool in the front desk fridge.the hotel was spotlessly clean. The snack bar was OK. The cocktails are very strong but they will put a half shot of alcohol in them if asked. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The evening entertainment needs sorting aswell as the day. We usually go 4 or 5 star and this is definitely more than a 3 star. Thank you for the great stay.
Location to the airport and the resort were excellent as were the drinks selection on the all inclusive. The hotel was clean but dated and requires maintence and upgrades. Room was only cleaned every 3 days and was basic. No kettle,no fridge or working air con in the room. I had requested on booking and on email direct to the hotel a fridge and kettle for medical reasons and none provided(email was not even acknowledged). I enquired at check in and told €30 for a kettle and that no access to fridge could be given. Food was appauling and no where near as advertised. Did not see the chocolate fountain ir dessert selection once. The ice cream was not labelled, left to melt and no scoops etc. Extremly limited options and although the dining room was always half empty there was never clean cutlery . Food was clearly left and reused throughout the days and the snack bar options were awful. Soggy chips and burgers with no cutlery, buns et and no labels for allergies. Bread left out but no butter salad but no tongs. Ice cream was sometimes seperate tubs ither times it was left out ni scoop no label of flavour and no bowls to put in. The pools were clean but inpossible to get a sunbed after half 9 lots left all day with a towel even though hotelnsays after 45 mins staff will remove this doesnt happen. The shallower of the too bigger pools has stairs and in built seating hoeever the paintwork has now rubbed off so it injured members of our oarty and othet guests as you cant always see the bottom step . The baby pool was very slippy again injuring multiple guests. Animation team didnt approach us at all looked like they only dealt with those in club jumbo. Kids club never had activities on and the mini disco was the worst iv ever seen I ended up leading some dances etc. The advertised mini golf wasnt open. Left luggage room was useful however was often left lying open and the key went missing whilst we were there. Only 1 lift appears to work however it also has a do not use sign onot it on floor 1. There was no attempt during our stay to fix lifts and from other reviews looks like this has been the case for a while.
We booked with Jet2 who included oasis wildlife park tickets but is atleast a 90min bus journey away you pay extra for and you have to argue at the ticket desk as they say hotel should be printing out tickets.
Staff didnt overly interact with guests ,bar staff could be rude. Often found a certain life guard in the stairwell smoking.
Cockroaches were often seen within the hotel at night.
I Stayed a week 11-18 July. A nice Hotel, on the backstreets of the town. The Room was basic, double bed, with en-suite and a reasonable sized balcony (overlooking the street and hotel opposite). It also came with a safe (€2.50 a day hire) and a tv, which required a deposit €10.00, refundable (save Your time as I found no English-speaking channels). Big draw back, there was NO Fridge in the Room. The Staff were very helpful, from reception, to the Restaurant and the bar staff.
Amenities:
Restaurant: Food was of a Good standard, Not to everyone's liking, but plenty of choice (cooked, salads, cereals and sweets). Also a snack bar outside twice a day (goes very quickly).
Bars: Two bars, one in Reception area 10.00 -18.00 All Inclusive Drinks, a Good Choice, Beer (Amstel), local Spirits and Cocktails. A Good choice of Premium Drinks at a small cost. Main Bar: 18.00-23.00. Available Beverages as for other bar. Plenty of inside seating and outside seating (can smoke). Would be good if bar closed at Midnight. Entertainment every night, groups, magitions, quizzes etc.
Pool: Main pool, good size, with a smaller Kiddies pool, plenty of sun beds (get there early).
Little Gem: Roof Top Terrace. Self serving Bar, a small pool, plenty of sun beds and the views are great. (No children, and turn right, out of lift, or turn left and You might get a Big surprise 😉)
Local Amenities Town: A short walk into town Small supermarkets 2-5 minutes walk. Local Restraunts (English Breakfasts and usual Spanish food) Bars and Clubs plenty of. Nice walks to coast, beach and Chipmunks.
Its also a short trip to and from the Airport.
Would Happily Visit again ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Reasonable if not typical hotel, needs maintenance to bring it to standard. Mini golf derilict, spas out of order, lift out of order, paint peeling. Food terrible think 1982 school dinners but with zero seasoning, do yourself a favour, get some garlic salt and mixed herbs from the nearby supermarket and apply liberally to food. Staff very helpful particularly when we found giant African cockroaches in the bedroom. Location is ideal for shops and bars 6 min walk to beach.
