Staff hotel clean and friendly enough. Pool areas nice especially the peaceful adults only bit. However, the food is rediculous. Not even vaguely like the photo on booking, of choice , choc fountain, non existent, literally same choice every night and beef stew unedible and full of fat. We have had to eat out most nights costing us money we should have to fork out when all inclusive. One lady spent 600 pounds eating out as hotel couldn't get reg oats milk and food not cooked in grease for her 15 month old despite asking everyday and assured before came out would be sorted. No fridge in room so medication in fridge behind reception desk not adequate or even able to keep water cool in room
Would come to caletta again but def not this hotel. Spoilt the holiday to be honest
food a bit repetative but ok, drinks very good stops at 11pm, staff excellent close to beach/town center, entertainment could do better but some excellent singers (when on) otherwise a bit childish, rooms ok but if you need disabled room request the hotel itself, we are returning late Nov as it suits us.
As a family who don’t post on trip advisor as sometimes we feel it gives good hotels a bad rep, we felt that we had to raise our concerns with this hotel. We budgeted to eat out each evening so the problems didn’t spoil our holiday but we can very much see why people were upset and complaining during our stay.
The price we paid, we didn’t expect too much however this hotel is going downhill at a rapid rate with no attempt to fix or improve any of the issues.
Sports court, torn up and unsafe for children. Gym, equipment doesn’t work, cables just left hanging out the back.
Hotel paintwork, falling off most walls. May as well put the entertainment team on a wooden pallet, that’s half painted. Credit to the animation team, they work very hard and have kept guests well entertained during the day.
Food has been our biggest issue, again we didn’t expect much with the price we paid however this food is unacceptable. Breakfast, limited options unless you like peas and carrots to get your day started. Snack bar is dirty, floor dangerously slippy and greasy. Drinks machines were down for a full day (non drinkers but it would’ve been nice to have some juice at least for the kids).
The frustrating thing about this hotel is that the potential is there but it feels as though they’re just running it into the ground with no attempt to rectify any issues. All of the issues could be fixed easily and quickly but sadly, we haven’t seen this happen and don’t think it will.
This hotel is no where near as nice as it is advertised. The hotel looks and is quite a bit run down. When we arrived the ac in the reception resembled a water fall and we saw this issue multiple times during our stay.
There were many scraps and dirty marks in the hotel room, the wardrobe door was broken and was very hard to open and close. We also had a problem with ants constantly being in the room. We were placed in a room by the stairs and elevators so we could hear everything that was happening around the hotel especially when the work cup was being shown.
The food selection was very very poor and would only suit those who will eat the most random of things. There were chips every night but nothing else that would suit younger guests. The drinks machines also gave out flat drinks 90% of the time. There was a snack bar when the restaurant wasn’t open but it had a very limited about of food and wasn’t refilled once empty even though it’s supposed to be open for 2 hrs and there would be no food left after 15min. There was also multiple occasions where there was no plates for the snack bar and would then be given plates from the restaurant and told you could not take them, they do have paper plates for the snack bar but I’m guessing no one bothered to put them out
For a 3 star hotel I was expecting just a little bit more
Close to the airport so not a long transfer, check in was quick . Room dated but adequate, 1 adult and 2 teenagers . Did get a cockroach in the bathroom one night , shower is just over the bath, first few days it was 15 seconds of ice cold water followed by 15 seconds of the devils water and repeat , but settled down after that , enough hot water for all of us to shower each day. Hotel was clean, cleaners always cleaning communal areas, pool and surrounding areas cleaned every day . No sun bed wars as such, could still get a sun bed at 9.30 however not enough parasols to go around, so you do need to be up early if you want a parasol. Staff were efficient in doing their job, however I didn’t have any interaction with any of the staff and didn’t see them interactive with other guests either . Can’t comment on how strong the drinks were as I’m not a big drinker , the evening entertainment as we didn’t stay in to watch , the animation team as we didn’t engage in it .
However please listen to the reviews about the food , I didn’t , and I should have . I am no foodie, and also a vegetarian, I’ve done 3 star hotel holidays these passed four years to Turkey, Egypt, Mallorca and Tenerife and I’ve been able to eat quite well at all of them . Hotel Chatur is a completely different story, we spent a lot of money - that I hadn’t budgeted for - eating out. But bread and butter for lunch and dinner is just unacceptable. The snack bar should be closed for health and safety reasons , not just for the disgusting food it has - dried curled up bread, boiled burgers , sweaty cheese left out for hours , but the area it is placed in is unsafe . Calesta de Fuste is a lovely area , the hotel is not far from the beach or the center , so pick Calesta de Fuste however don’t pick this hotel, spend a little more on a better hotel and it will save you money in the long run.
