Approximately 40yrs ago, was this hotel called hotel azor?
Close to airport; train station nearby. Shops a short walk or catch a train or taxi to local shopping area. You do get some noise from planes and minimal from trains but it’s such a lovely small hotel I can forgive that. Food basic but very nice, snacks at pool good. Rooms could do with a revamp but it’s so clean! Staff all attentive and friendly. For the price I’m certainly not complaining; will revisit
A clean comfortable modern hotel with a decent pool. It seems recently renovated. The pool opens at 1100 which avoids the dawn dash for loungers. Great pool bar. Buffet was good for dinner and passable for breakfast. Friendly staff. You need cash to hire a safety deposit box and 1eu to get a plastic cup from the pool bar The hotel is 5 minutes walk from Los Alamos train station. It is in a residential area so not convenient for Torremollinos. Plaza Major and the airport are close by.
Arrived at 8.30pm and was checked in promptly. Hotel is well presented and clean. Looks recently refreshed. Headed straight to the buffet. A good selection of food. Grill cooking fresh meat and fish. Did not always get shown to a table dinner and breakfast and sometimes felt like a free for all. I would advise upgrading with the drinks package for a small charge with dinner as only serve water as standard. The pool area felt relaxed and again was nice and clean. Not many beds at this time of the year but did not see any sun bed wars. Plenty of seating inside and out. We stayed in a room with a double and one single bed. It was quite small but worked given we were not in the room much. Lovely big balcony facing the pool. Room was very clean and refreshed every morning. I was unsure of the hotel smoking policy. The room smelled of smoke when we arrived which may have came in via the balcony. We had smokers in the balcony adjacent as we were in a corner and unfortunately we had to keep shutting the door. I would suggest having set balcony where smoking is permitted. We also had an issue with noisy neighbours who used their balcony until 5.30am do take ear plugs! The receptionist did ask them to quieten down. Great location next to the train station ideal for getting along the coast. Ten minute walk to a beautiful beach. My biggest gripe is no shower facilities or option of a late check out if you are on a late flight. Luggage is stored in the office and no bag labels are put on the bags. Check out was quick and efficient.
Really nice place, clean, friendly, food buffet as expected
