Great location opposite the beach The hotel was OK clean and tidy not 4 star more nearly 3 The apartment rooms were clean and the maids cleaned and tidied every day and brought coffee sachets as only tea available in room. The view to the front and partial sea view was OK the view to the right was a area full of another hotels junk and waste awful view The pool areas are small and squashed in sunbeds , which we chose not to use as so crowed Entertainment was just OK The Flamenco night excellent, some of the Entertainment just wasn't professional with staff walking across the stage when performers were singing? The food in the restaurant was adequate alot of repetitive food but a choice and lovely salads and deserts. All inclusive drinks were watery and very limited , one waiter argumentative with me about putting tonic in Gin when I wanted Aqua con gas .... We found the hotel over crowded in areas , and seating limited with some areas unused for "gold" all inclusive guests . I would return to Torremolinos but not this hotel.

Stayed here for 4 nights with a friend. We got a taxi from airport which only took 5-10 minutes The hotel is across the road from a nice beach Arriving at the hotel, we had a bit of a wait to check in and we weren’t given much information as to what was where like they gave everyone else Our room was nice, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was ok although there was mold & rust around the shower Pool area was very busy but we are early risers and was able to get a decent spot around the pool. The sunbeds weren’t very comfortable The drinks were dine, not sure if the cocktails were watered down a little bit We liked the bar snacks which we had for lunch every day The shows in the evening were enjoyable most evenings. Amateurish, but enjoyable The biggest disappointment was the buffet. The restaurant itself is nice. Breakfast, the tea was ok but orange juice wasn’t nice. There isn’t a massive choice for hot food , bacon wasn’t good nor the scrambled eggs. Sausages were lovely. There was cold meats and cheese, fruit and pastries but not a massive selection Evening meal. There is a different cuisine every night, first night was Mexican and this was really good. There is a lot of fish every night and sometimes not much else to choose from. I love food and by no means am I fussy eater but I found the food average. It was ok for 4 nights Overall, it was a good little break and worth the money

Unfortunately, our 10-night stay at Hotel Puente Real was really disappointing, particularly considering the price we paid and the fact that this is advertised as a 4-star hotel. In our experience, it did not feel like a 4-star standard and felt more like a 3-star hotel at best.

The biggest issue for us was the food. We saw raw meat on multiple occasions, which completely put us off eating at the hotel. We are absolutely not fussy eaters, but when food looks genuinely inedible, we simply aren’t going to eat it. There was also very little choice at breakfast, lunch or dinner. After the first day, we only ate breakfast at the hotel and essentially survived on toast. We ended up eating out for the whole holiday, which added a significant amount to the cost of an already expensive holiday.

There were also some hygiene issues during our stay. On the first day, my boyfriend went to the toilet near the restaurant and there had been a bathroom accident which had clearly not been cleaned up. On another occasion, we saw someone being very sick around the pool area. While the latter may obviously not have been the hotel’s fault, combined with everything else, it didn’t exactly leave us feeling confident about the overall cleanliness. From what we heard from other people there was definitely D+V going around the hotel - another reason why we didn’t eat there. No surprise really when the hand soap was just shower gel? We went out and bought a big hand sanitiser to use as felt we couldn’t touch anything without getting sick.

The room itself was fine, but the bathroom had visible rust and mould. The housekeeping was particularly disappointing. During our entire 10-night stay, our room was never properly cleaned — the beds were made, but that was it. Our cups were never changed and we didn’t receive fresh towels despite following the instructions in the bathroom to leave towels in the bath when we wanted them replaced. Instead, dirty, wet towels were simply folded up and put back where the clean towels should have been. Over a 10 night stay I would’ve thought bed could’ve been changed and floors mopped.

We had to go to reception ourselves to ask for fresh towels and even toilet roll. When I mentioned to the man at reception that the cleaners were folding up our dirty wet towels rather than replacing them, he smirked and laughed and responded, “So what, you just want new towels?” I found this response particularly disappointing and unprofessional.

The restaurant staff were also quite rude on several occasions, although the bar staff were lovely and the bar itself was fine. The pool area was also perfectly adequate.

The entertainment was mediocre and, again, didn’t feel like the standard we’d expect from a 4-star hotel.

The location is fine, right on the beachfront, pool area fine and the bar staff were friendly. Unfortunately, these positives weren’t enough to outweigh the issues we experienced.

For the price we paid, we expected considerably more. The fact that we ended up eating out for almost the entire holiday because we couldn’t face the hotel food was particularly disappointing for an all-inclusive stay.

Overall, we wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend it for anyone expecting a genuine 4-star all-inclusive experience.
