This historic hotel is situated just across the promenade in Torremolinos, in the quiet area between La Carihuela and Solymar districts a 10 to 15 minute walk from the centre of the popular resort. Links to the public transport are available within 100 metres and the Malaga airport is just 20 minutes' drive away. Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, all of the dining options of the venue come with an added bonus of wonderful views. Regardless if one is enjoying a meal at the buffet restaurant, signature cocktail in the bar or snack in the garden, the sea will always be within his/hers gaze. The same holds true for the rooms, each of the well-appointed units comes with a balcony offering side or full sea views.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Nice clean hotel, location excellent, food 8/10 Most of staff nice. Not sure I would say it’s for kids though and the lifeguard was very inconsistent with pool rules telling me and kids not to jump in on 2nd day which ruined pool vibe a little, then other days he was throwing little kids in.
Bit of a mixed review from a family of 3.
The hotel and it's grounds are lovely and well maintained. There are lots of rooms but the hotel is still fairly quiet which in a way is a good thing but it also seems that this quietness makes the hotel lack an atmosphere. Although the age range here did seem varied I'd say that it's more geared to those over 60. There isn't anything for kids to do here other than use the pool where the rules are a minefield. On day one we were told we couldn't use the small ball we were playing catch with as it was too hard and people may get hurt if it hit them but then the lifeguard was pushing and throwing children in the pool? On our last day a group of lads were using a full sized leather ball and throwing it here there and everywhere not considering the people their ball was hitting. Another pool rule was no clothes to be worn but there were men swimming in vests and several women were in the pool in full length islamic clothes. The sunbed situation of not reserving beds wasn't enforced and several beds had towels on all day without anyone using them. Saying that I always found a sunbed at various times of the day. Pool was a good size The breakfast was the usual offerings and was of a good standard. There was a man who came round every morning whilst we were eating trying to get us to buy mimosa, although pleasant enough he became annoying. We were only bed and breakfast but didn't upgrade to half board as other guests said there was nothing for children to eat other than chips . There are plenty of restaurants to pick right on the doorstep. We went out every night as the entertainment consisted of various singing acts which was not what kids want to watch. I found it difficult to find an entertainment board and a dinner menu wasn't advertised either, maybe the hotel could address this and people may be more inclined to eat in if they could see what's on offer. The rooms were a good size , the free safe was a bonus. The bathrooms were nice and modern with a powerful walk in shower. Balcony was a good size. Nakissa was very helpful with any issues via what's app. I found the staff pleasant and the location superb. Marina 5 mins to the right and torremolinos centre 15 mins to the left of hotel. Reception would ring taxis when asked.
Despite what's mentioned above I did enjoy my stay, I probably wouldn't book here again though as I'd prefer somewhere that offers more for kids in the way of entertainment. If you want a classy quietish hotel then I'd recommend.
This hotel has so much wasted potential due to the totally incompetent management
Wow, what a fantastic hotel. It surpassed all our expectations in every way. From check in to check out the staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We had upgraded our room to a superior side sea view ( room 510 ) and I highly recommend this as a few people we spoke to had a view of a car park. It's right on the beach front and the restaurant and upstairs bar area overlooks the promenade. Our room was cleaned daily and had fresh towels every day. We never had a problem getting a sun bed and there was lots of umbrellas as well. Loved staying there and would highly recommend it.
Great location right on the beachfront. Room was a good size with great air con. Beds not very comfortable. Shower was very good and clean towels every day. Room kept very clean. Had a lovely cake and bubbly for my birthday. Breakfast good but all indoors no outside eating area. Good choice of food but always a queue for any type of eggs as they are cooked while you wait. The fresh cakes daily were delicious. Drinks a reasonable price. A good stay and would stay here again.
