This luxurious and modern hotel offers comfortable accommodation right on the beautiful, sandy Carihuela Beach in Málaga, at the south of Spain. In the surrounding area, travellers will also find a lot of smart restaurants where they can go in the evening, as well as the famous “chiringuitos” beachside restaurants that specialize in the tasty “pescaíto frito” or fried fish, ideal for a light meal at noon. The property is also near Puerto Marina leisure centre with numerous entertainment options available. The ample and light-filled suites feature a contemporary and cosy décor with all conceivable amenities for dream-like stay. Most of them also boast a private balcony with lovely views to the sea. Business travellers might appreciate the meeting spaces available and everyone may indulge themselves at the impressive beach club with an infinity pool.

Give restaurant a miss go B&B
I have stayed in Ocean House many times and had just learnt that it was taken over by Grupotel. It was however first time I stayed half board. Never again. The food was inedible!! The lunch food at the playa bar was lovely. Just don’t go near the restaurant ! I had read bad reviews about the food but didn’t take it on board u til I found out for myself!! Hotel could do with some TLC especially the bedrooms. Maybe that is Grupotels intention or the reason Melia got out!

Ocean House Hotel was a mixed bag of experience. We'll start with the good: Location is excellent - near the beach and the bars and restaurants of Benalmadena. The entertainment/leisure team at the hotel were brilliant. We experienced the aqua dance, the aqua spinning (bike in the pool) and the kids club. All were brilliant and the team of staff were very friendly. The atmosphere at the hotel was lovely and relaxed. Most staff were very friendly and curteous. Entertainment in the afternoon and evening was good with a varied set of music each night. The breakfast buffet was good with a great selection. We went early (around 8.30am) as it got very busy by about 9.30am. The bedroom was cleaned well every day and the hotel cleanliness is very good. The not so good: The hotel has a very strict rule about reserving sunbeds with towels. Any towels placed on sunbeds before 10.45am without anyone sitting with them would be taken off. Also if any sunbeds were left unattend for about an hour - they would be given a card to state that if they don't return soon that again the towels and belongings would be taken by the Pool Guard. The reason for the strict allowance for the sunbeds is because there is a maximum of 300 sunbeds in the whole hotel. This doesn't cover half of the guests. There is a serious shortage of sunbeds and essentially space for sunbeds at the hotel. The main pool also is not very big. We also paid for half board - and the evening buffet meal was exactly the same for every evening. This was poor. Had we known this we would not have paid for half board. Also if you purchased drinks at the hotel bar you were not allowed to take the drinks into the restaurant for your evening meal. This was ridiculous and it was merely a way of the hotel to try and make you purchase more drinks with your food. Would I visit again?.. maybe when out of season.. but certainly not on half board.
Rooms need renovated
Just returned stayed many times at this hotel always in premier room. Rooms now very tired looking seriously need renovated especially the price per night. Stayed in room 3413 air con wasn't very good couldn't feel cool air even on lowest temperature. Floor very scratched and lifting. Staff still outstanding can't do enough for you. Breakfast in Play Bar excellent with fantastic service. Hopefully Grupotel renovate rooms as hotels nearby all been renovated to very high standards without the big price tag Ocean House charge. Excellent location, fantastic staff and hotel just dated basic rooms.

Female holiday
I have just got back from this hotel and wow what an excellent hotel,we had a ground floor room with lots of space air con worked very well bathroom was huge with a walk in shower.Rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels if you wanted them.Breakfast had everything you wanted and all cooked food was hot.Pool bar the food was delicious ate here every lunch time,pool was lovely and if people left towels on for too long they were taken off,which I think is a brill idea.All staff were amazing very helpful and friendly I would 💯 return to this fantastic hotel

Absolutely amazing,currently waiting on transfer to airport and so sad to leave this fabulous hotel,travelled with my elderly mum and it premium was a game changer,roof top pool is quiet,towels provided,afternoon cakes to all customers,staff unreal,big shout out to Daniel,what a gent,premium Check in quick and efficient,drinks and snacks free between 10 and 6,courtesy room provided for showers free of charge,entertainment is fantastic,walk to left to torrmolinos,relight to benalmadena harbor,loads of restaurants,breakfast amazing premium,we will definitely return
