This attractive hotel is set just a stone's throw from the seemingly endless sandy beach known as Bajondillo. Malaga is just a 20-minute drive away and the hotel is conveniently close to the city's busy airport, at only 10 minutes from the hotel. Visitors might enjoy shopping in the San Miguel shopping area, just an eight-minute walk from the hotel, while families may wish to spend an afternoon at the beach enjoying a sunny and warm day. The outdoor pool area is perfect to rest, the spa is wonderful to relax and forget about the stress and the gym will rise the heart rate and maintain the shape. The rooms are bright and spacious, they are also equipped with cosy beds and all the essential amenities needed to have a pleasant and comfortable stay.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The location was great. 5 min walk to beach and bars, 8 mins to the main strip and shopping centre which was easily accessed through the elevator. The rooms are large, clean and have everything you need, fridge, kettle, good selection of toiletries, shower gels, toothbrush, tissues, razor etc. the breakfast was fab. Freshly cooked omelettes, good selection of breads, pastries, cheeses etc. the coffee machine in the dining area offers Nespresso pods, which was very impressive. The evening meal was always delicious with a good choice of meat, fish, rice dishes, pasta etc. there was always chips or chicken nuggets if you have children. The staff there are unbelievable and all work so hard. Paula and Carlos particularly stood out as being very attentive and friendly. I didn’t get the other girls names in the dining area, but wow, they will go above and beyond for you. The best part of the stay was the barbecue night. I felt like I was attending a wedding. If you book this hotel, make sure you don’t miss it. The food, entertainment and attention to detail was fantastic. I was always able to get a subbed, the pool was a perfect temperature (some have said it’s cold on here) I won’t get in a really cold pool. The rooftop jacuzzi and indoor pool was very relaxing and like a bath temperature wise. The hotel even brought up chocolates and prosecco for my husband’s birthday, which was a lovely touch.
The hotel itself looks lovely. Rooms are spacious, clean, towels and bedding changed when requested. Lovely outdoor and indoor pools. Very helpful and friendly staff . Now the not so good- our toilet would not flush and water in it was running constantly. We reported it , the maintenance man came up, said fixed, but it happened again the following day, and a third time. It was just a quick fix not a repair job. On the day we were leaving it happened again but we left it.
Aircon, after running for a while, I heard a dripping sound coming from the bathroom ceiling. Reported it to reception, they said " oh yes that's the air conditioning " said they'd fix it. But it happened again. So we stopped using it.
We were on a b&b basis. Appeared to be a lot of choice, especially if you like broccoli and sprouts for breakfast. Lots of different breads, pastries and fresh fruit. Eggs, fried, scrambled, hard boiled or omelette. If you want it hot, have an omelette as its cooked to order. Buy generally the rest of the hot food is not, it's only just warm including baked beans, pre cooked fried eggs, sausages (not english) etc :
The hotel has 7 floor's and 1 usable small lift.
Towels and safe key can be hired from reception. 10 euros per towel 5 euros foe a key, which is refunded on handing them back on departure.
Would we stay there again? Maybe, if the toilets , aircon are fixed and the hot food gets hotter.
One more point they have some evening entertainment , it was early season, we didn't see much and very small audiences. About 6 people at the most.
I had a great holiday at this hotel and would recommend it but I didn’t either day I checked out. The hotel was fully booked so I could not pay to keep my room until later. I had a late 11 pm flight and no room was available to have a shower. I was directed to a very basic bathroom on the roof to freshen up. There was no shower curtain and the floor was completely flooded. There was nowhere to hang clean clothes or handbag. I challenge the hotel management to try and use this unsuitable facility in an otherwise excellent hotel. It was frequently hard to get service at the bar and after waiting for a long time we gave up and went next door to the supermarket for a drink and snack. The bar was great when you can find a waiter.
We love this hotel. It was our 3rd time visiting. So relieved to get back to it after our disastrous stay at the Palm Beach Hotel in Tenerife last October. All the staff here are amazing. They go out of their way to help you. The staff cleaning the rooms do an excellent job. They are done daily and towels changed every day. The walk in shower is a real treat. You can hire beach towels for €10 for your stay and chage them as often as you want. Safe key is €5 deposit. All the deposits are returned at the end of your stay. Lovely big room with a fridge and kettle. So close to everything too.
Disappointing Stay – Not What We Expected From a 4-Star Hotel We stayed in Room 208 and unfortunately our experience did not match the standard we expected from a 4-star hotel. The bathroom door did not close properly, there was no running water from the kitchen tap area, and no milk was provided with the tea and coffee facilities. We were also surprised to find that refills for tea and coffee had to be paid for. Only one lift was working during our stay, which caused inconvenience and delays. Another disappointment was that the hotel advertised breakfast on an outdoor terrace, but this was not available, so guests had to eat inside a hot and stuffy dining room instead. The biggest letdown was the balcony view. Rather than a pleasant outlook, our balcony directly faced an apartment block with washing hanging out to dry, which was not what we expected based on the hotel's presentation and advertising. While the staff were generally pleasant, the overall experience fell short of the quality and facilities we were expecting. For these reasons, we do not feel the hotel lived up to its 4-star rating. Rating: 2/5
