don't know where to start because everything is bad in this hotel. Dirty room, hair everywhere, bad smell from the bathroom. Even after I tipped housekeeping they didn't clean it, I had to buy chlorine to clean it myself. They didn't change the sheets in a week. To eat at the all inclusive, you have to stand in a line that goes outside the restaurant for 40 minutes, then you may not have a table to sit at. People put their hands everywhere in the food and even taste it directly. All inclusive ice cream is only during meals and then children with dirty hands touch everything. All inclusive drinks are practically non-existent. You have to pay if you want a good drink. All employees are very rude, even after you tip them, except for the girls in the restaurant but they also seem to be absent. They don't speak English. The reception was very insensitive, Antonela seemed annoyed when we checked in because it was night and I had disturbed her sleep. Don't ask about the doctor, I was practically scammed, the reception called a so-called doctor to see my child and I paid 150 euros for 5 minutes, the doctor didn't even have a thermometer with him. In Bulgaria it seems like everyone wants to scam you. When we returned to England, on the same day my husband and I started feeling unwell, we ended up with covid. We are in day 10 after covid and still unwell. The manage of the hotel was nice and the hotel are having good location.
This hotel was a complete disappointment. The staff are rude and clearly have no understanding of basic hospitality.
The room had a terrible smell coming from the bathroom that made the stay very uncomfortable.
The all-inclusive dining experience was awful – long queues (up to 40 minutes) just to get into a cramped restaurant, and even then, you might not find a table.
As for the drinks – don’t be fooled by the "all-inclusive" label. The options are extremely limited, and you often have to pay extra just to get a basic drink.
To begin with, the receptionist did not give a warm welcome. The man that took us to our room was friendly enough. The room itself was very tired. Old furniture, a terrible smell in the bathroom, no WiFi, just very basic. Very big, as we paid extra to have a suite, but it just meant we had a larger tired room than most. Two bathrooms was a bonus. The food wasn't as bad as we thought it might have been, going on other reviews we had read. All of it was edible, but desserts were very dull (a sort of custard slop in a plastic cup and some watermelon). The animation team was a young man and woman. The woman was fine, but the bespectacled man was an idiot. He questioned mine and my wife's relationship with our son and I told him we were his parents. He said he thought we were his grandparents, then continued to tell me I should dye my grey hair to look younger! Then he asked how old I was, and said "f**k, if you're older than my dad, this is awkward." I had to tell him to stop talking to me. He then stood next to me watching my son kick a football and saying "oh dear" anytime my son didn't kick the ball perfectly. He was an absolute prat. Had to tell him what I thought of him the next day. We never spoke again. The all inclusive bar is in the dining room, and there is, rather oddly, a bar in the main lounge that you pay to drink in!?!? You are asked to move from seats if you haven't paid for a drink, but the pool tables are in this area. We used the pool tables every day (4 lev per game) and on our last night we got drinks from the AI bar to play pool, and the miserable barman came over and told us we could not play and that the tables were broken. 5 mins later, people were using them. An absolute joke. The food staff were generally nice, and so too were the AI bar staff. Lovely cleaning ladies. So many changes need to be made. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
After reading reviews all I was expecting was clean the hotel is dated 90s style but we found it to be clean in all areas the room was dated but clean comfortable. The all inclusive food was of a good standard and all the staff we found to be friendly the only bar is in the restaurant offering good quality spirits larger wines soft drinks from 11-10pm the other bar is franchised. The pool is again dated but clean we didn’t have any issues really with this hotel. We paid £350 each for all inclusive. The hotel is no longer 4 star I would place it at 2 or 3 at best for the money it delivers it’s old and needs a little tlc we have done 2 luxury breaks this was a quick getaway location is great 10 min walk from local bus stops and sunny beach I can highly recommend this as a budget friendly break away. Tip leave your do not disturb sign on through the night then the cleaners not wake you.
I want to caveat this feedback with we need to understand what we are paying for when we book holidays. Also, we did feedback to the hotel directly and via our provider both without success. One of our party described it as semi-inclusive and said it felt like they had been a hotel forced into all-inclusive who didn't really want to be there.
Pros - Budget holiday. Pool clean. Near the beach. Nice salads and plenty of fruit. Local drinks with good measures. The bar lady was smiley.
Cons - Can’t sit in ⅓ of the seats because a franchise bar owner chases you out of the seats. Hot drinks are not available outside of meal times and after 6.30 pm. Food is often cold, even straight out of the kitchen. More signs telling you what you are not allowed or can’t then helpful info. Bedrooms not cleaned whilst we were there, beds made-ish. The gym is all weights, not a treadmill, rowing machine or cardio. Generally made to feel an inconvenience to the hotel.
