Unfortunately, we left this hotel very disappointed. The biggest problem for us was the hotel’s attitude towards its guests and the constant checking and restrictions.
Although this is an all-inclusive hotel, guests are required to provide their room number and the number of people at both lunch and dinner. If, for example, part of your family wants to eat separately, this becomes a problem. The hotel advertises relatively broad meal times, but in reality, guests receive a room card showing a specific one-hour time slot during which they are allowed to come for lunch or dinner. Everything is strictly checked at the entrance.
And that is not all. Even if you arrive exactly during your assigned time slot, you can still expect to wait in a long queue. Instead of enjoying a relaxed lunch or dinner, you end up standing and waiting.
The worst experience, however, was leaving the hotel when travelling with a tour operator. If your flight is in the evening or at night, your all-inclusive wristband is cut off at check-out, and that is the end of your all-inclusive service. Nobody seems to care that you may still have several hours before your transfer to the airport. In our case, we had to wait approximately eight hours, with small children, and the hotel simply did not care that we would be left without food or drinks for that entire time.
The hotel knows perfectly well that guests travelling with a tour operator have no control over the transfer or flight time. Nevertheless, they are treated exactly like guests who are leaving the hotel immediately.
The overall impression is slightly improved by the friendly and helpful lifeguard and bartender. Unfortunately, they cannot make up for the overall approach of the hotel.
The pool bar was another disappointment. Based on the hotel’s presentation, you would expect a pleasant poolside bar where you can get a drink during the day. In reality, it is more like a run-down and neglected little structure, which certainly does not match how the service is presented. Overall, we felt that the hotel is much more focused on checking guests, room numbers, meal times and wristbands than on their comfort and satisfaction.
For us, this was unfortunately a huge disappointment. We understand that hotels need rules, but all-inclusive should mean comfort and convenience for guests, not a system of constant checks and restrictions. If you are travelling with small children, I would strongly recommend considering whether this hotel is really suitable for your family.
I booked through Travel Republic the hotel. Hotel is located on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria. The hotel is on the first line to the beach. Our room is nice, has a view -a small part to the sea. We are served by young people - hardworking and smiling staff and good cleanliness around. There is a line for eating, but everything is very well organised. The food is varied - you will always find something to your taste, and the restaurant is also kept very clean. We are three generations - grandmother, son and grandson, we are all satisfied. We will come again next year.
The overall experience was horrendous. There wasn’t a single thing that wasn’t out of order. To start off with the cafeteria is a third of the size then should be intended, the capacity of the hotel is for 700+ guests but the cafeteria can only hold 200 and guest are forced to eat in shifts. Apart from the capacity, the food is also mediocre. If you are looking for variety and to experience bulgarian culture you will be heavily disappointed. The rooms smell of mold and the air conditioning only makes noise and doesn’t have any effect on the room’s temperature. The cherry on top was the staff’s attitude towards their guests. There is a major miscommunication problem between staff and the fault falls on the guests. As we decide to leave with our vehicles we were promised that our parking stop would be reserved and cones were given to save the spot. On our return we see two new cars in our “reserved” spot. When we asked what the reason for this was we were returned with a dismissive attitude and they made it seem like we were insane for being upset and yet the problem was left unresolved. Staff also ignored medical emergencies, like a man covered in blood, when they promise a doctor on premise 24/7. I highly recommend that you do not step foot here if you want a even slightly pleasant experience, hardly a good one.
Absolutely terrible services the food was edible to say the least. There is no different food throughout the days that I have been here for morning, lunch and dinner everyday is the same. Very little of the staff do not speak english/Bulgarian which makes communication very difficult. There is no security in the premises which endangers the safety of the people of the hotel. Last night there was a person covered in blood, intoxicated and smashing the walls and the staff doing nothing to secure our safety. Lunch there wasn’t no plates or cutlery and when asking for them the kitchen staff were super rude. Rumen the receptionist was unprofessional and very rude which is an unacceptable behaviour from a 4 star hotel, this was the first and last time I will be in this hotel.
Not a 4 start hotel, not at all. Restaurant is with shifts, no cutleries, not clean, overall bad. In addition, to this I had a reserved parking spot and suddenly someone from the hotel decided to take the cones away and give my spot. At like 1am! Is this real! Absolutely disrespectful! The receptionist is called Rumen, has no manners and no knowledge of customer service. Not repeating and not recommending.
