This welcoming hotel is centrally yet quietly located, only 100 m from the splendid sandy beach of Torremolinos. Shops, bars and restaurants are to be found in the vicinity. Málaga is around 11 km from the hotel, whilst the airport is just 7 km away. Links to the public transport network are in front of the hotel. Renovated in 2005, this superbly situated hotel comprises a total of 66 rooms spread over 5 floors. Guests may make use of the air-conditioned foyer which has public Internet connection. Guests may choose to pay a visit to the cosy bar and the restaurant. Individually and tastefully decorated, the rooms are all air-conditioned and feature a balcony or terrace with views of the sea or pool. There is a swimming pool with sun loungers in the outdoor complex. The nearest golf course is just 3 km away.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Wonderful
wonderful, cozy hotel with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious and have a balcony. The bathroom is well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The swimming pool is great, and the food is excellent with a good variety of dishes. The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back.
Overall fantastic location.
Great hotel with excellent service from the staff who went out of their way to please. Returning later in the year for more of the same. Good location with excellent food with chefs/staff eager to please.

Nice clean,bright hotel.......
The hotel is very nice.Reception area lovely and cool.Friendly staff.Rooms are a little small but they tell you that when you are booking.We were on the fifth floor and had a balcony view off the pool.Very nice.The sea view is a low dearer in price and you are over looking a street so pool veiw in my opinion is better as you are not looking direct at the sea from the "seaview".Cleaning ladies are brillant and cleaned everyday off our 8 night stay.Drink service is a little on the slow side.The pool area is very overshadowed depending on your sunlounge.Overall we would stay there again.
Welcome return to The Essence
Returned to The Essence for another fantastic holiday. Wow what a reception we received on arrival. The staff are all wonderful. We ate in the restaurant and there is a good choice of dishes. We will hopefully return again in 2027.

Great hotel!
Great location, staff very friendly and helpful, very clean, modern hotel. Breakfast was delicious. The pool area is perfect, clean, quiet, and beds always available. The room was small but ideal for a 4-night stay. The shower was perfectly powerful and easy to control water temperature. The room remained cool despite temperatures of 27 to 29oC outside, and it was even possible to sleep comfortably at night without needing aircon. Will definitely return to this hotel.
