This welcoming hotel is centrally yet quietly located, only 100 m from the splendid sandy beach of Torremolinos. Shops, bars and restaurants are to be found in the vicinity. Málaga is around 11 km from the hotel, whilst the airport is just 7 km away. Links to the public transport network are in front of the hotel. Renovated in 2005, this superbly situated hotel comprises a total of 66 rooms spread over 5 floors. Guests may make use of the air-conditioned foyer which has public Internet connection. Guests may choose to pay a visit to the cosy bar and the restaurant. Individually and tastefully decorated, the rooms are all air-conditioned and feature a balcony or terrace with views of the sea or pool. There is a swimming pool with sun loungers in the outdoor complex. The nearest golf course is just 3 km away.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Outstanding 4-Night Stay – Exceptional Service, Incredible Bali Suite, and Perfect Location!
We just wrapped up a fantastic four-day stay at Essence Hotel Boutique, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. The staff were warm, incredibly helpful, and friendly throughout our entire trip. Upon arrival, we were informed that there was a temporary fault in our booked Bali Suite. The hotel handled this situation impeccably: they immediately provided us with a pleasant standard room for the first night alongside a very fair discount while they resolved the issue. We were completely happy with how proactively and honestly they managed it. The standard room was clean, well-appointed, and comfortable, featuring a great TV, nice bathroom, and a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. When we moved into the Bali Suite the following day, it completely blew us away. It is exceptionally spacious, offers breathtaking views, and has an extraordinarily comfortable bed. The bathroom is massive, the TV is huge (easily 80 inches), and the full-sized fridge gave us plenty of space to keep drinks and snacks cold. Every aspect of the hotel’s amenities hit the mark:
- Breakfast: Perfect start to the day with plenty of variety, delicious coffee, and freshly squeezed orange juice.
- Pool Area: Wonderful, relaxing atmosphere. We never had to hunt for a spot—there were always 5 to 10 free sunbeds available in both the sun and the shade.
- Location: Unbeatable position. You can walk right along the beachfront promenade filled with lively shops and bars, or take a quick 13-minute walk around the back to reach the top of town. There is a large supermarket just 5 minutes away, as well as a convenient small market (cash only) right beside the hotel.
We had an amazing experience from start to finish and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!
Great friendly hotel
The hotel is very good & the staff are very friendly & helpful , unfortunately you can’t always pick your guests , who like to put towels on the sun loungers even when not around ,

Great stay
We absolutely loved our time in the Essence Hotel! Staff were friendly and attentive and it was a lovely, relaxed environment. There’s a great Italian right next door to the hotel too which we went to a couple of times. The one thing I would say is the pool is not heated as stated on booking.com, although the weather was so hot, the pool was a welcome ‘cool down’!
Thought on coming back to the Essence
We have just returned to the Essence hotel and everyone could not be more welcoming and helpful. I have just had the most amazing body massage with Victoria (massage therapist) and could not recommend it enough. As always, the staff here go above and beyond to make everything more enjoyable. A lovely spot.

nice hotel worth of 4 stars
Location was nice , close to the sea and short wqlk to restaurants and town centre. The rooms were clean with a nice wiew .The pool was large enough and was room for all the guests to accomodate seating close to the pool and the warmed 3 jacuzzi.We had half board , the food was tasty , the staff very polite.Deserts were mostly factory made and the only option for dietary requirements were fruits.Overall the ambient was nice and pleasant , we enjoyed the sun at the pool as the sea water was stone cold and we only walked on the shore.
