Take a little trip outside the bustling heart of Torremolinos and you'll find some excellent places to stay. The Ecuador Park Apartments is a cosy little complex situated in a quieter part of the city – on the Benalmadena side of Torremolinos. Being out of the city means that you don't have to pay city prices; it also means that you get a different perspective on Torremolinos. The Ecuador Park Apartments are close to the marina – and to a host of excellent shops, bars and restaurants. There are some real finds here – and they'll all feel that bit more exclusive than the same-old city centre haunts.
Stay at the Ecuador Park Apartments and you can still dip in and out of the city with ease, or enjoy the quieter environs of the Benalmadena district. The beach is never far away, while the picturesque marina is really worth a visit too. Another one of the great advantages to staying at the Ecuador Park Apartments is the excellent swimming pool. It really is a beautiful pool and it's surrounded by a sun terrace and features a poolside bar. You can quite easily spend several hours by the pool, taking a dip, enjoying the sun… Or you can sit and just take it easy with a long, cool drink at the bar.
The poolside bar really is the hub. Whether you're swimming or not, it's a great place to get-together with other holidaymakers. The bar serves snacks throughout the day, so you really can make a bit of a day of it. Or if you fancy a change of scene, La Carihuela Beach is just 100 metres away. Accommodation at the Ecuador Park Apartments comprises fully-fitted studio apartments. Each comes with its own kitchen, combined living room/bedroom, and private bathroom. Additional features include satellite TV, safe boxes (with deposit and for a small fee) and telephone. One bedroom apartments with separate living rooms are also available at a supplement, and can accommodate up to four people.
With so much activity centred around the pool, there's a real community feeling at the Ecuador Park Apartments that you won't find at many hotels. And that makes it a great choice for anyone who really enjoys a truly sociable holiday.
Ideally situated in a quiet area on the Benalmadena side of Torremolinos. A wide selection of shops, bars, restaurants & supermarket as well as the Marina are all within easy walking distance.
Take a step back in time to the 80s as that was the last time these apartments were updated! I seen pictures of lovely looking rooms..just didn't see them in real life!
Very quick check in, paid 4euro a day for safe (got 5e back when handed back key). Only floor with a lift is the block eith access to the 5 floor..we were on 4th and had to walk up 42 steps in 35c heat! Not ideal but carrying cases up is torture! Witnessed poor parents carrying prams up as well.
We paid extra for a superior room - (god knows what we would have got otherwise!) Superior = damp on the roof in 2 areas, dirty sheets not changed until last day, balcony 2ft wide over looking next doors parking garage! And decor/kitchen/bathroom like its 1985! ill attach some pics to show what i mean.
The location is ok - beach a few minutes stroll away - beautiful beach and promenade, a few shops round about but a lot of closed/vacant shops/bars. It's a 10 min walk to marina and the same the other way to the start of main torremolinos. The apartments are in an area thats more residential than holiday - actually felt it was January with the lack of holiday feel and everything closed - some bars were open Fri, Sat, & Sun though but an awful lot closed down which wss sad to see. Apartments themselves are clean but lack any atmosphere - could really benefit from music round the pool, even maybe a pool/table tennis table..anything is better than total silence, the only positive with that is at night its totally silent so no issues sleeping..this place could be amazing with money plunged into it and also into the surrounding area. The pool is a nice size with plenty of sun beds - our last day it was only us at the pool - bonus, private pool! No childrens pool - starts at 1.20m to 1.60m, warm water though and looked very clean as also were the outdoor toilets - showering facilities for last day but no towels. Maids came every 2nd day, I accidentally dropped coke on sheets minutes after arriving..the maid kindly made my bed with the dirty sheet and only changed it the day before we left?! My main concern here is no fire escape? God forbid a fire breaks out blocking stairs as you have no other escape route - only out onto the 2ft x 6ft balcony (this worried me while there). Kitchen is basic with basic facilities, but it does the job, tv in livingroom but only dining chairs to sit on? No English channels but didn't bother us. Sofa in bedroom but no tv in bedroom. Beds were very comfortable, can lie and look at the mould patches on the roof! Bathroom = 1985! Over the bath shower but good pressure. No hairdryers in the rooms! AC was fantastic in the heat! If you decide to go to this hotel then request a ground floor - these rooms look much better and no stairs to climb. Really hope they do add some life to the place, I think even a small bar would make this place great - most folk sit outside playing cards..small bar and some music would be great!
Personally we wouldn't return due to the lack of atmosphere and the very dated building and the residential feel to the area. We didn't get this holiday cheap and for what we paid we could have went to much better - lesson learned!
Note: I have seen many pictures of the apartments looking modern..i dont know which room number that is but all the rooms we seen in all had the 1980s look..see pics for guidance to above info (I always strive to see the best in things and always give honest reviews - check my other reviews if your not sure..100% accurate review)
When we arrived the lady on reception didn't even acknowledge us for five minutes as she was looking at her computer screen. Booked a deluxe apartment for 11 nights, and I can see why people comment it's dated. The kitchen drawers didn't open or close properly, none of the cutlery matched, no chopping board, no place mats or coasters, tea towels were old and degrained. We didn't need it cleaning that often, but the cleaners forgot to change a pillow case and bed sheet on one occasion, and didn't leave fresh toilet rolls. The plug on the iron was in bits when we arrived and we had to ask for a replacement. Outside is very clean, pool area and surrounds, and very quiet. Plenty of sunbeds, but two men still put towels down every day at 10.00 and then disappeared for four or five hours. Two big balconies at front and side of apartment, lovely views of sea. Well and comfortably furnished, plenty of storage, and a great shower. We've stayed in La Carihuela many times in the past, but don't think we'll be staying here again.
Had a great holiday here a couple of years ago so had no hesitation in rebooking with Jet2. This booking was for a SUPERIOR apartment. Very disappointed to discover the flat was in a block with NO LIFT access. Apparently there is only one block which has a lift (which only stops at half landings). If you are allocated a flat on the 4th floor you have approx. 64 steps to reach it ! The sofa in the living room was very heavily stained. There were cracked tiles on the balcony and the plaster on the balcony ceiling was hanging off in places. The only difference I could see from the standard 1 bed apartment was a larger kitchen and it contained a fridge freezer. Only 1 electric socket in the kitchen. Making tea and toast was a two stage procedure. The toaster was 'open style' - an accident waiting to happen. No hair dryer in apartments but you can borrow one from reception. Room was serviced every second day. Lovely wee pool. 24 hour reception. Found staff to be very helpful. Security box in apartment. 20 euros for a week. These apartments are in a great location, so handy for everything, minutes away from the beach - lots of bars and eateries on your doorstep but in a quiet location. Overall I was disappointed with the SUPERIOR apartment and unfortunately I would probably not return due to the fact there are no lifts.
Be carefull if you book an accessible apartment, the bathroom floors are very slippy. and the handrails next to the toilet are in the up position. i didn't know this when i nearly lost my balance and went to grab it. the handrail went down, and i went down with it. i passed out for i dont know how long, and woke up in a pool of blood. with no recollection of what happened until 3 days later. now i have flashbacks of the pain i felt when my head hit the stone floor. if they fix the bathrooms, i will remove my review.
Our 1st visit here and was really positive. We had apartment 210, ground floor in the corner. It was spacious and well equipped. The beds were comfortable, as was the sofa and chairs in the lounge. It was very clean, inside and out. The weather was quite cool on the days we were there and we used the heat setting on the air con units which was very good and warmed the rooms well during the evenings. The shower was a proper built cubicle up from the floor that didnt leak out onto the floor ( quite rare in my experience) and water temp and pressure was good. The cleaning staff kept all areas and floors very clean and the pool area was the same. Reception staff were also very friendly and helpful. For us, the location was perfect, lots of shops to get supplies nearby. The beach front , restaurants and bars all a 2 minute walk away. Benalmadena is a 10 minute walk away, with a beautiful marina, well worth a visit or two! We walked alot around Torremilinos and tried many shops, bars and restaurants. There is so much choice, even in march and if you love seafood the choices are endless. Many restaurants offering happy hour and serving great cocktails! We have already booked equador park again for next year as its perfect for us. We went as a holiday package with easyjet and it really was worth every penny.
