Tucked just over a kilometre from the popular Playamar Beach, the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to both the seafront and the town centre, making it easy to explore the area’s shops, restaurants, and local attractions.
There’s no shortage of things to do on site. Evenings bring a variety of entertainment for all ages, with shows and music adding to the holiday atmosphere.

Whether you’re relaxing poolside, enjoying time with the family, or heading out to explore the Costa del Sol, AluaSun Costa Park provides a cheerful and convenient base for your stay.
The hotel’s rooms are bright and practical, each with air conditioning, satellite TV, a private bathroom, and a furnished balcony or terrace – a great spot to enjoy the fresh coastal air.
Located in ElPinar area, 8€-10 uber into town, free bus is so handy during morning or afternoon diesnt run 1-4pm, very busy hotel. No enough sun beds the Q starts at 830 to open at 10 couldnt not believe it, food was okay plenty to choose from but kids selection is terrible. Ordered McDonald’s few times as kids were not eating. Not a 4 star hotel a good 3star tops. Room were clean sofa bed is very uncomfortable sheets weren’t changed for week stayed there. I stripped bed left sheets in pile and cleaner left them there it was comical I just made bed again. Pool is ridiculous no floaties by one lifeguard and ruined kids holiday very strict not pleasant made babies get out of seat rings. Entertainment was great 2nights we left but animation team are second to none. Worked do hard great dancers costumes music acts. Drinks were perfect. Lines could be long at night 10min max. I would return but not in high season and subbed and pool put me off. Staff in hotel were fabulous.
This was our 3rd stay at AluaSun. They have everything! The hotel is always kept clean. The food has lots of choice at Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with great turn overs between rushes. The staff are always refilling dishes & resetting tables.
There is so much for families to do. There are many daytime activities in the pool, for adults & children. There is a splash zone & water slides for kids and a choice of two pools with ample sun beds. There is a kids club, foam party once a week, mini disco & family friendly show following every night. A late bar is open until midnight in the stage area. There are games dotted all around the hotel. There are two shops and a spa room that offers massages.
This hotel is one of the best hotels for friendly staff. My kids were shown so much kindness by the entertainment staff and many other members of staff from reception to housekeeping. It is clearly a nice place to work as I have been coming since 2023 and there are still the same staff members working there with the same enthusiasm as our first visit.
They’ve really thought of everything! I highly recommend.
Hotel was busy, but to be expected mid august. However the size of the facilities (pool, evening entertainment seating area, restaurants, bars etc) does not match the head count.
Handy location from Malaga airport, but its situated opposite a busy road that you need to cross to get to the main town, but the free bus service offered was great to be fair.
The pool is pretty much constantly busy/crowded, if you want a sunbed best get in the queue in the morning.
Pretty consistent queue for drinks, but 5/10 min wait max.
Staff all friendly and helpful, no issues there, rooms and facilities all clean and tidy. I think the hotel should re think the material of uniform, its seems to be an unbreathable fabric for bar and restaurant staff, theyre rushing around doing a great job and sweating buckets, the shirts stick to them and it must be really uncomfortable for them
Not a great selection of food, the self service for hot food consists of maybe 10-12 dishes, but repeated on both sides of the self service, but you always found something to eat, but the quality was not great. A lot of tables crammed in pretty closely, a lot of guests who think its acceptable to brush past you when your sat down eating and not use the main gangways.
Evening entertainment pretty poor, but you cant doubt the enthusiasm of the performers. Animation team seemed friendly enough and did see others getting involved an having a good time, but not my cup of tea.
Pool snack bar was ok, chips, burgers, pancakes etc, all the usual suspects.
The Hotel guest are mainly Spanish & English , i did find the guests to be quite rude and a bit "rough" sounds incredibly snobby i know, but the fact they have private security come out when the evening entertainment starts kind of tells you what you need to know. This is beyond the hotels control.
I paid 1100 euro for two people weds - Sunday, i did upgrade the room to a suite for 200 euro. but even at 900 euro i think it was overpriced.
I think calling this a 4* hotel is a bit too generous, in my opinion its a solid 3*
We made the most of our trip, and enjoyed it, but i would not go back or recommend it to anyone i like 😂
This hotel is exactly what the other reviews say. I will include some additional information which you might find handy. For all inclusive patrons, you purchase/rent a token from reception , then give the token to the bar man and he in turn will give you a half pint plastic cup for your beer wine or whatever. Drawbacks from this is that this cup is used for all your drinks so you bring it everywhere on campus with you, it gets dirty and you need to go to the toilets to wash it. Soft drinks are self serve and beer is self serve , one type (mahou) only. If you want a coffee or anything from the coffee machine (poolside) you have to queue for a paper cup, then go to the coffee machine for your coffee, why cant the paper cups be just left at the machine? Tip: buy a sleeve of pint cups in the china shop in torremolinos centro for €2 and use them each evening for your beer. For irish guys they dont do Irish whiskey, so buy your own in the town and bring it with you for your evening drink, use a plastic bottle. Disabilty: the campus is disability friendly, there are loads of steps but there are ramps accompanying them everywhere. The onsite shops are reasonably priced (compared to ireland) but vending machines are a rip off. There are long queues for the dining hall but the queues move very fast, you will wait max 5 minutes to get in. The biggest issue with this resort is the poolside sunlounger's. There are signs everywhere saying dont reserve the loungers for more than 30 minutes, the soccarista (lifeguard) has responsibility to remove the towels from reserved beds after 30 minutes. These lifeguards are not employed by the hotel, they are agency staff - so they could acre less about the hotel rules. So they don't remove the towels, Especially from beds reserved by spanish tourists, that's because they don't want to argue with spanish guys. Complained to management about this and the agency changed the staff after. Somebody probably got fired. A downfall regarding these beds is that the spanish families reserve the beds and walk off for their extended breakfasts or siestas. The hotel is very big and has hundreds of guests which fill up the pools as you would expect. Pools are not big enough to swim in as there are two many guests. Wear pool shoes as the pool-surrounds are slippy, saw many guests/children fall hard. While this hotel had so many positives it does have some irritating negatives. I paid €2100 for a week all incl for a man, woman and child. Next year i think ill invest my €2100 a bit more wisely and go to a different resort in the same area. I will look more closely at the nationalities of the reviewers and pick a more mixed group of guest reviews as that will indicate to me if the resort is heavily populated by one nationality or another
The Hotel was not walking distance from paseo maritimo but it was 10 minutes away in car. Rooms are very spacious and the air-conditioning is brilliant. Totally value for money. The only negative thing was there is only 1 bar open during the day so the queues can be long.
