Great stay for Birthday
We’ve just arrived home after an amazing stay at the Hard Rock Hotel Marbella, and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience.
We arrived around midday and were pleasantly surprised to find our room was already ready. Before our trip, I had emailed the hotel to request a particular room, and they kindly accommodated all of our requests, which was a lovely start to our holiday.
The hotel itself is modern, spacious, and spotlessly clean. The pool areas are fantastic, with plenty of space to relax. As the Club World Cup was taking place during our stay, the hotel was brilliantly set up for football fans, showing all the matches in the reception, bar, and restaurant. There’s also a sports bar directly opposite the hotel with a fantastic atmosphere, although it’s worth arriving early if you want to get a seat.
The food was very good, especially breakfast, which offered a huge variety of options. In the evenings, you could choose your meat or fish and have it freshly cooked in front of you before helping yourself to the buffet, which we really enjoyed.
The location is excellent. It’s only a short walk to La Sala, Oak Garden & Grill, BREATHE, and AIR Rooftop Bar, making it ideal for food, drinks, and evening entertainment. Puerto Banús is around a 15-minute walk away, and the Marbella Arena is also just around the corner. The market is also fantastic and a must if you are there on a Saturday it’s literally 5 mins away.
If you’re planning a special evening out, I highly recommend Ladies & Gents hair salon, just a few minutes from the hotel. I had my hair styled there and was so pleased with it. You can easily book through the Fresha app.
Every member of staff we met was friendly, welcoming, and couldn’t do enough for us. I would definitely recommend booking directly with the hotel, as we received complimentary welcome drinks, 10% off food and drinks throughout our stay, and a lovely birthday surprise, which was a thoughtful touch.
Our room was cleaned daily, with fresh bottled water, slippers, and little handwritten notes from housekeeping that made us feel really looked after. We also loved our balcony, which had beautiful views of the mountains, the pool, and even the sea.
The only slight downside was that we expected a little more evening entertainment at the hotel. Aside from showing the football, there wasn’t much going on, although that may simply have been because the Club World Cup was the main focus during our stay.
Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and wouldn’t hesitate to return. The combination of the beautiful hotel, excellent location, wonderful staff, and thoughtful little touches made it a really memorable stay. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
