Conveniently located in the centre of Nerja in the province of Malaga, this enchanting hotel is the ideal choice of accommodation for business and leisure travellers. The airport is 45 minutes’ drive away. Guests will be able to sample delicious specialities at hotel's restaurant with enough capacity to celebrate any special event such as a wedding. The outdoor pool area is perfect to spend a nice and sunny day relaxing under the shadow of an umbrella, sunbathing or having a refreshing swim. The nicely decorated and very luminous guest rooms and apartments are the best place in which visitors can truly rest and relax during their stay, they are equipped with all the essential amenities needed to have a pleasant and comfortable experience.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Feedback for our stay 30-May to 04-June. On arrival at the hotel, the reception lady did not make us feel welcome. She was too busy on her mobile telephone messaging and reading content that was obviously not work related. We were allowed to leave our luggage at reception prior to check-in time, which was a plus. The room (110) was clean and spacious in the main area. The facilities and balcony area were as expected. Our sliding patio door did not lock however, We tried the handle in all rotations, but it stilll failed to lock. The downside of the room as the toilet and shower area. This was far too small and was in need of an update. A simple solution would have been to install a sliding door rather than a hinged door to make the room more spacious. The pool area is very nice and relaxed, although some of the sunbeds should be replaced or repaired. The material is sagging and were difficult to sit / lie on. Again the pool area could do with a refurbishment. The breakfast was perhaps the worst we have had in all of our times travelling. The layout to obtain basic items such as glasses, juice were not logically laid out and very confusing for someone visiting for the first time. The quality and variety of food on offer was not very good - apples and oranges only as fruit for example, was a poor selection for breakfast. There was zero variety each day and the hot food was lukewarm and not very fresh by the time we had breakfast around 0930 each day. Bar staff were very friendly and helpful. We actually borrowed a power adaptor as we had forgotten to pack for our stay. Happy hour was a welcome bonus for drinks at the end of the day, and the quality of the drinks were good. All-in-all, I would not stay at your hotel again unless there were some improvements made as outlined above, as the price paid was more than I have previously paid for many higher quality stays in Nerja for accommodation, location and food. I hope this is helpful and enables you to make the improvements for the enjoyment of all future guests.
Stayed for 2 weeks, Room excellent, bed comfortable and room quiet. Couple of small problems with the Room Safe not opening - batteries flat etc, all fixed quickly by a very efficient 'Technico'. Adjoining Restaurant very good - have been before plus on Xmas Day when 'Overwintering' in Nerja. Breakfast is good, as much or as little as you like. Just think it would be better being 'Continental only' as the 'Full English' is a poor substitute. Will definitely be back again.
We visited the Los Arcos in 2019 & loved it so decided to return this year. Although the rooms (great bed & housekeeping) & pool area are still lovely, sadly the customer service is appalling/non- existent.
We arrived at mid day & when the sullen girl at reception finally looked up her first words were not "hello" or "welcome", no smile just "No check in 'til 2pm". I tried to ask a couple of questions but all I got back - twice - was "No check in 'til 2pm".
We gave up &, after putting our own luggage behind the desk, wandered off to get a drink at a nearby bar to await the magic 2pm. We were eventually given our keycards, without a word, & we found our own way to the room. No directions or offer of help.
We stayed a week, rarely any staff around during the day, anyone off the street could easily access the whole hotel including rooms. The only other staff member we spoke to was the lovely English lady behind the bar in the evenings.
Breakfast was poor. The very cheapest processed meat & cheese, blister packs of margarine & tasteless jam. Rock hard bread rolls & cheap sliced bread. Frozen pastries which hadn't been reheated properly & were soggy & raw inside. Fruit squash not juice. The coffee machine was gravity fed by a grubby plastic hose from a water bottle which kept running out. Random scrambled or hard boiled eggs, bacon & awful hotdogs were the hot option.
We bought our own butter, jam, bread, pastries & cheese from the excellent supermarket next door. Also, coffee as the "coffee & tea making facilities" in the room consisted of a small travel kettle, 2 tea bags, 2 sachets of sugar & 2 tiny creamers plus wooden lolly sticks. Not even teaspoons! And no coffee at all.
All very depressing. The pool was meant to open on the 15th after maintenence but we left on the 26th & it was still closed. Also be aware there is building work behind the hotel which may block the current lovely views across the town to the sea.
Only managed to park in the hotel carpark a few times as it was always full. We found street parking a 10 minute walk away. Also be aware no one responds to emails, texts or even FB messages. I did worry before we arrived that the hotel was actually closed!
Stayed here for 10 days in June 25. We had superior room 112 and it was lovely. An amazing large terrace with direct access via steps to the pool. Generally quiet around the pool especially when we first arrived. We requested some better cushions for our terrace sun beds and they sorted this. A 20 minute walk to beach 30 to the town. Easy to get taxi back for about 6 euros especially in the heat. Lots of lovely reasonably priced restaurants. As many people have said the breakfast is poor but don't let that put you off as you don't have to eat it. Going to return again requesting room 112.
The only real good thing to say about this hotel is the staff, they were excellent especially Maria. We had booked double room but had to change dates and was told only junior suite available at considerable extra cost. The hotel was far from fully booked!! Breakfast was poor to say the least. Although our room was nice there is as others have said a big ant problem everywhere. Most parts of the hotel are in need of refurbishment. Parking is waste land round the back .Im not trying to give a bad review just an honest one.
