We spent a lovely 5 days at Hotel Toboso Chaparil. It’s a small quiet hotel, friendly and in a great location, it is fairly basic and very clean. We booked a standard room but when we got there we were given the option to upgrade to a room with a balcony for €40 for the whole stay - which we did and was great with gorgeous views and the hills. Rooms aren’t as big as they are in photos but very comfortable, the only thing that was missing that would have been good was tea making facilities. Also note there are no mini fridges - just in case you’re wondering. Breakfast is from 8.25am and is served in the cafeteria, there is a cold and hot buffet breakfast, everything you could want. We left early in the morning when we were leaving and they prepared a couple of big breakfast bags for us - the service was impeccable. They only serve breakfast, there are places to have dinner and lunch nearby. Located just out side of the main centre - about an 8 minute walk to the main sites including the Balcony, beaches etc. All in all we had a wonderful stay.
Hotel conveniently located, clean and well maintained. I visited for one night with family but it was amazing for what was needed. A bunch of restaurants and bars nearby as well got to the hotel quite late, and up early in the morning for coffee, having had no problem finding something open. Check in was painfully slow but other than that, all great. stay
Wow where do we start, from the moment my wife and I arrived at the hotel , the guy at reception ( Wolfgang) was absolutely amazing and so so friendly welcoming and informative and explained everything to us .the hotel itself was brilliant, great pool area on roof with fabulous views and plenty of sun loungers . Breakfast every morning was fresh and a great selection, the rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels and linen. All staff were absolutely friendly and helpful. Management you should applaud your staff for their professionalism. We would highly recommend Toboso Chaparil , and so looking forward to seeing you all again next year if not sooner. Keep up the great work everyone. Billy & Janice x
The hotel is an economy hotel, no frills, cleanliness by and large was good, but on our penultimate day our rating brings that down. Our room was cleaned daily, we reckoned between 15:00/15:30 as we returned one day around 15:30. However, on our penultimate day, we returned from having breakfast to have a lie down as was our routine. We could tell cleaner had been in as we could smell the bleach in the bathroom, but the bin in the bathroom had not been emptied or the beds made up as was the normal. And the shower matt did not have the Tobos brand embedded on it and it was all frayed, every other day it had the Tobos logo and was changed daily as were the towels. We thought the cleaner may have been interrupted and would return to finish the cleaning but they didn’t, and the beds had still not been made up, when we returned at 16:00 to have a nap. There was no tea or coffee making facilities, I always get up early, before my wife and always start my day with coffee. As my wife rises later I had to wait until my wife was ready to do breakfast, just after 10:00. There is no bar facilities, it would be nice to sit with a drink or beverage, socialise either early afternoon or before retiring for the night. We chose a double room with a balcony; this was tiny, only took 2 chairs sitting facing each other, no room for a table, and the air conditioning unit dripped on one of the chairs, which made it dirty. And the balcony was never cleaned. Compared to other hotels we have stayed in Spain both the room and balcony were small in comparison. Room No. 105.
The bathroom was functional but the grab rail for the shower was loose
The hotel website states the double room with balcony has a minibar, ours did not, nor was there a fridge
We have just arrived at the hotel and the only thing I can say is that the photographer should get an Oscar The hotel and rooms are 2 star at best There was a lady complaining about no electricity for 4 days in a row, no showers in her room The rooms are tiny and dated and there is a building site beside us The pool area is also dated with worn out sunbeds On the plus side the location is very good Be very wary of the positive reviews
