Tourist resort built as a typical Andalusian village and located in front of a magnificent beach. As an Andalusian village, it has narrow streets, gardens, plaza, chapel and houses painted with bright colors which are furnished with geraniums and hanging gitanillas. Get wet in our themed swimming-pools with funny slides and jacuzzis (exclusive access to children over 15), sunbeds on the swimming pool and playground (minigolf, pingpong, petanca, shuffle board) perfectly set up for families with children due to its cottage style large rooms which include satellite TV, air conditioning, ceiling fan and bathroom including hair dryer. It should be noted our excellent buffet restaurant overlooking the beach with a varied offer and show cooking. Marbella Playa Hotel is located about 7 kilometres far from the city of Marbella. WIFI free.

I went in Playa Marbella with my kid and friends for 10days. The Bungalows r old but ok and clean. The Location of the Hotel is more then 1 hour drive of the Airport and around the Hotel is very quiet and not much Restaurants or bars or Shops around there not much things going on around there. The Location is really boring around there. The Animation was not good. They start very late at 22pm. The Stuff r helpfull and kind.

Winter sun mini break
Had a great few days at this hotel and really enjoyed our stay. Went for the b&b option as had read mixed reviews on the food on offer. Must say that the breakfast was really good, freshly made omelette was my favourite but there was lots of choice. There is a fabulous chiringuito about 500 yards away from the hotel, food is lovely, we went twice. A hire car is a good idea if you are planning on visiting Marbella or any other local places. The pool is good and the hotel is right on the beach. Staff were friendly. I would stay there again, ideal for a few days to chill out.

Great food and clean
Disappointed when we got there the bungalows are old and dated and not 4 star. However they are clean and the beds are comfy. After initial disappointment once we got our bearings we were really pleased with the hotel itself. Food was spot on, drinks great (we went all inclusive), pools clean, great location to beach a with some nice bars just a short stroll along the beach. Plenty to do for the kids (we went as a couple) If you are going to go pay extra for an upgrade and stay in the hotel and not in the bungalows. We had no outside space to sit outside our bungalow and as referred to above you’ll be disappointed as not as advertised as very 1980’s decor and dark. Coffee amazing and resorts spotless with amazing grounds. Mixed clientele of British, Spanish, french, German etc

Could be better!
Positives first Grounds are Undeniably beautiful Swimming pool area lovely and clean (although the outside pool freezing cold out of season! ) I liked it though because you get the whole pool to yourself if your brave enough to go in!!. They do provide indoor pool which is heated outside of season so fair enough and it is very nice. Breakfast amazing you’d be a difficult person to please if you can’t find anything for your taste even Prosecco was available!. Dinner only ok any meat dishes were disappointing chewy however you could always find something to eat. Rooms honestly were not good no tea coffee making Facility mould on bathroom tiles dark and cracked Tiles on outside area stains on the throws over the beds. Room keys are absolute joke!!!!! And even when you key stops working and you have to walk back to reception.(bearing in mind my daughter came down with a nasty virus so had to wait outside while we could get access to our room which wasn’t quick to get sorted) to Be meet with no Apology that the key didn’t work it was some how our fault because it had been next to a mobile Phone which of may Deactivated it also this wasn’t a Isolated occurrence happened many times (If you know this why don’t you say when checking in?) Staff on reception rude and Abrupt. Lastly staff at bar not friendly and if anything Spanish is going on you will be served last even when you are clearly first in a queue you will be ignored maybe this is Something we English have to get used to be as rude as everyone else!!!! Rachida was an absolute credit to this hotel and is everything a hostess should be they are Lucky to have her and maybe she should be head of customer service if all staff were trained to her standard you’d get brilliant customer service reviews. This is a honest Review as we made the best of our holiday and just put up with the bad side as we had paid a lot of Money to here wasn’t cheap hotel however I’d give the rooms 1* no way near a four

Gets the job done, a good one at that
This is a good hotel, and you are paying very good prices, dont expect a 5 start experience when you are not paying for it.
The staff do a good job of making things run smoothly, attending to guests needs, and keeping the areas clean. Very big pool with enough sun beds, sea views are amazing, and food is alright.
Hotel gets the job done, at a good price, for a summer beach holiday.
