We were fortunate to stay in one of the two-bedroom residences, which was an excellent choice for our family of four adults. The residence included its own outdoor lounge area, a fully equipped kitchen, and two private sun loungers outside the main bedroom. There is also a dedicated swimming pool for guests staying in the residences. Never busy, seating always available. The one-bedroom residences are located just below. One poor design is the door leading into the main bathroome. Because it's left opening, you have to close the door in order to use the wash basin, complicated by a door stop at toe level. Yes, your likely going to get your toe stubbed. A right handed opening door would have been perfect. Someone messed up on the design here.

Tennis available at the RN tennis club, did not avail of this facility but looked great.

Parking

There is some free street parking available,l directly in front of hotel but it is below the sloping entrance to the hotel. Alternatively, the hotel offers secure underground parking per which is monitored by cameras and has a lift providing direct access to your accommodation, making it a very convenient option.

Restaurants

We had lunch at the Italian restaurant on the day we arrived and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was well presented, and the setting overlooking the main pool made for a very pleasant start to our stay.

Monero is more suited to those looking for a lively atmosphere, with upbeat music, a cocktail bar, and a vibrant crowd. The food and service were again of a high standard.

Las Naranges

Mediterranean dishes, good quality. Reserve a tabke outside near middle of the glass barrier to get a great sunset view during/after dinner.

Tony's Bar, located at the end of the hotel's lush gardens, is not part of the hotel but is well worth a visit.

Likewise, Nikki Beach Club is separate from the hotel, although there is a business relationship. If you enjoy a lively beach club with DJs and a party atmosphere, this is the place to be. Be aware that the music can be extremely loud. Its open to guests and feeing paying public. Avail of the loungers offered for hotel gusts on the beach.

Breakfast

Breakfast offers an excellent selection with something for everyone, including freshly squeezed orange juice. Hotel does not do breakfast in bed for the residences , just a pick nick basket.

There is a lovely outdoor terrace for breakfast, although you'll need to arrive early to secure a table. Breakfast is served until 11:00 am.

Pools

The main pool is definitely the place to see and be seen, with a lively atmosphere throughout the day. Those looking for a quieter experience may prefer the pool by the residences. The main pool does have the advantage of a pool bar close at hand, which many guests will appreciate, with pool service. This is a bit hit and miss by the other pool. Just have to go to main pool to grab someone.

Staff

All very friendly, great service from them. Management has done a good job of training.

I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would be happy to return. This is what 5 star should be.

While we still have two wonderful days left here, I wanted to take a moment to recognize what has truly been an exceptional experience at the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center and Don Carlos.

From our very first day, every single person we have interacted with has made us feel welcomed, valued, and genuinely cared for. It is rare to come across a team where every individual stands out, but that has absolutely been our experience here.

A special thank you must go to Tanea, who stepped in to help us resolve an issue that nobody else had been able to solve. Not only did she take ownership of the situation, but she went far above and beyond to make sure my wife and I felt comfortable, looked after, and able to simply enjoy our holiday and tennis experience. Whether it was helping us with our booking, assisting us with equipment and shoes, or simply taking the time to make sure everything was perfect, her warmth, professionalism, and kindness left a lasting impression on us.

We would also love to recognize Maggie, whose warmth and kindness have been equally memorable. She has gone out of her way on countless occasions to make our stay feel extra special and comfortable in every way possible. Her positivity and genuine care for guests shine through in every interaction, and she has been such a wonderful part of our experience here.

Beyond Tanea and Maggie, we want to recognize Yohan and his entire team at the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center. The professionalism, energy, and passion for tennis that everyone brings each day is truly remarkable. Whether it has been the coaching staff, reception team, grounds crew keeping the courts in immaculate condition, the bar staff, or everyone working behind the scenes, every person has contributed to making this an unforgettable experience.

Hospitality and service are often judged by moments when things don’t go perfectly, and what has impressed us most is not just how well this team operates day to day, but how much everyone genuinely cares about making guests feel special and looked after.

We have been fortunate enough to travel to some places and experience resorts and we can honestly say that the people here are what make this place truly exceptional.

Thank you to Tanea, Maggie, Yohan, and the entire team for making our tennis holiday such an incredible experience. We are already sad that we only have two days left and will leave with wonderful memories that we will carry with us long after we return home.

Thank you all for making us feel less like guests and more like part of the family.
