This luxurious and stylish resort is conveniently located in Nueva Andalucía area, between the cities of Marbella and Estepona. Set on the world-renowned Costa del Sol, those staying at this property will find a golf course or the popular Puerto Banus marina at just 1.8 kilometres away for a leisurely walk or an exclusive dining experience. Malaga airport is about a 40-minute driving distance from the property. Visitors staying at this charming establishment will enjoy an impressive array of stunning on-site facilities, such as swimming pools and a fitness room. Built as a traditional Andalusian village, all the apartments offered are tastefully appointed and have all the necessary amenities to ensure guests have a memorable stay.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Avoid booking as they will ask for a deposit on arrival. Everything signed and passed through, contact with them when i returned home was "we have sent the deposit it must be something your end" Credit card used and no issues my end so avoid avoid avoid.
I have just been reading some of the terrible reviews and cannot believe that Chris Greengrass is still there as manager. Have just returned from Aloha Gardens booked through Brittany Ferries as one of their winter break hols. Never again. He sent me an email offering me a 10% discount should we wish to stay there again but I suggested he could give us this as a compensation payment. We put up with constant banging and crashing from workmen replacing kitchens and bathrooms in properties 2 doors away from ours. The house walls are so thin it was as if they were working in ours. Apparently they were supposed to be tiling and that was all. They started at 8.00am and finished at 9.00pm. I mentioned this to him and his reply was that they were contracted from 9/10am until 5.00pm. He said he went home at 5 so he didn't care. In his reply to my email to him he said he offered us a move but we said no. I may be getting on in years but my memory is excellent and I do not recall that.
The security man confused our car with another English car and thought that we were parking in the wrong bay. We sorted this with him but when I mentioned this to Mr Greengrass he said the Security men were nothing to do with him and he was probably bored as he had nothing else to do.
The house itself was very tired with sub standard furniture. The kitchen, although well appointed with appliances was lacking in basic equipment. The oven had no rack inside, there were insufficient saucepans for preparing a meal for 2 let alone 4, and one cupboard was out of use due to the extractor fan being in the way. The towels and beds were not changed once during our stay and we were there for 2 weeks. I knew this before I went but I still think this is unacceptable.
They state in their brochure that Aloha Gardens is built like a Spanish village on several levels and is not suitable for people with mobility problems. They mention steps but not flights of stairs. For us to get to the swimming pool was 4 flights. Fortunately for us the weather was so awful we could not use the pool anyway. There were 10 steps to get through the security gate, a further flight of 17 steps to get to our house and 2 more flights to get to the car park. Actually the best part of Aloha Gardens is the free parking in a specified bay for your property in a covered car park.
Mr Greengrass thinks we had exceptional value for money. I would like to say it was so exceptional that we will never stay there again. His attitude is appalling and his don't care policy seems to be his way of life. The office is open very few hours but I was informed that this was due to "Covid". Hopefully if you do decide to stay there you have no problems or need any help.
We have stayed here on at leat 10 previous occasions, however this time we could only say a maximum of one night due to the disgusting condition of the 3 bedroom apartment. DO NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE!! It is advertised as 4 star accommodation on Expedia and other places, however in reality it would struggle to be given an official 1 star. Student accommodation is far better and cleaner. WARNING very suspect "stains" on the settees and lounge chairs, broken dining table, kitchen in desperate need of being ripped out and replacing with clean unbroken cupboards, bathrooms need MOULD and RUST removing and pubic hairs cleaned before guests arrive... and also a good idea to repair / replace floor tiles at top of stairs before a holidaymaker trips and breaks their neck!!! However according to Chris the manager " you get what you pay for"!! He even stated that this is not a 4 star complex but a 2 key ... so if you are fooled into staying here don't be paying more than £10 per night and the photographer needs an award for their highly creative portrail of this place! STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU READ RECENT TRIPADVISOR AND OTHER REVIEWS BEFORE WASTING YOUR MONEY!!!
Apartments are basic, clean and have access to lovely gardens and various pools. The complex is well located next to bars and restaurants, and for venturing into Puerto Banus and Marbella.
Customer service was excellent, and nothing was too much trouble. From ensuring we took the right tunnel, had 8 plates, knew the gate code (again and again and again), sorting the wifi and finding medical care for an eye injury.
We will definitely be back! x
Do not trust this company, paid extra for free cancellation before a certain date. Refused and claimed they have never done it however will give you a credit back if you pay in full (more likely will pocket all your money) I sent pictures providing evidence of their cancellation policy with what I booked and called them out on it, have never responded to numerous emails.
