Tui Blue Specific Review
A great location let down by poor service in places
We stayed at Hotel Yaramar in August and had a mixed experience.
Staff were friendly and happy to help throughout our stay, and the rooms were clean and tidy. The air conditioning was excellent and kept us cool even in the August heat.
We had a beachfront room with a lovely sea view. It was quiet from the outside, though you could hear the evening entertainment from the room. It generally finished early so wasn't a major issue.
The location is a real strength. It's central to plenty of good bars and restaurants right on your doorstep, so there's no need to walk into the old town.
Unfortunately there were quite a few negatives too. Check-in was slow: we were dropped off by TUI but only two staff were on the desk, and it took over half an hour to get into our room.
The pool loungers were a problem all week. There are signs saying no reserving loungers, but from the moment the pool opens at 9am they're covered in towels with nobody sitting on them. We ended up using the beach most days instead, since we could rarely get near the pool. The hotel's beach club does offer a reduced rate of 6 euros per person, which helped, but it shouldn't really be necessary.
We booked through TUI Blue, which includes one speciality dining experience a week. In practice this is just a curtained-off section of the buffet restaurant, and it was impossible to get booked in, so we never got to use it.
We also tried to use the hotel's own beach club for lunch one day and were completely ignored. Three different staff members walked past without acknowledging us.
One final and important point: TUI Blue's website advertises this hotel as exclusively for adults 16+. This is not accurate. The official Yaramar website confirms children are allowed, and there were children staying during our visit. Most were well behaved, but this isn't what we paid for and TUI should not be advertising it this way.
Overall, a hotel with a great location and friendly staff, but let down by service gaps and misleading marketing around the adults-only claim

Been to the Yaramar many times check in quick again, most staff very good except one female in yarabar and one female in restaurant.Breakfast and evening meals once again good entertainment was ok. service on Thursday 03 /08 /2026 in the patio bar was very slow some guests waiting long time to be served more staff were needed. We'll be back again
Best Hotel in Fuengirola, Costa del Sol, Malaga
I’ve been going to the Hotel Yaramar now for years, overall 10 times. This year I went 3 times , once beginning of May , end of May , 3rd time end of August. When we arrived at hotel booking a normal room, sea view, we was told the manager had offered us a supreme room free of charge compliments of the manager. We were in shock and so Happy. Thank you So much we really appreciate it. Plus I’ve sent a thank you car through the post. Overall of the hotel is excellent, sea views, clean, food, rooms, staff very helpful, plus Tui staff Jane is always there to help. Entertainment is good too especially with my couple on the keyboard and lady singer. Most customers love. Still the only problem again was one of the staff at the entertainment room, who is not very friendly. It’s the older lady, small with a bun in her hair. Wished I got her name, Other staff are all young. The Room was packed when we went into the entertainment room because our favourite couple was on so I went to the bar to order my husband a hot chocolate because he wasn’t to well with he’s back and the lovely your lady served me straight away but when I went up again to Order a vodka and beer the older lady said I had to sit down and wait because it’s staff service. We waited 15 mins so I went back up to the young girl again and she served me no problem. Then another 5 mins later the older lady staff sent a man over with our drinks, after 20 mins waiting. I refused the drinks then and told him I already got some. After I heard the older lady staff shouting at the young girl who served me , which I couldn’t understand. But after she was giving me the evil eye. I understand that it is staff service but if you want to get a drink from the bar yourself it shouldn’t be a problem. Plus I noticed other guests was going to the bar too. We love coming to this hotel and will be definitely going back , one person isn’t going to spoil it for us. The other staff are excellent, always happy to help. But I must say this is far the best hotel to stay in Fuengirola, Yaramar. Complements to the manager too.
Over 60s hotel not for younger adult Families!!
On arrival late , the staff had put aside food for us which was a lovely touch so Thankyou . However the next day my son who is 22 was stopped several times and asked if he belonged to the hotel 😡 we then went out as a family returned and was asked again. !!! . We are a family of 4 my sons are 20 and 22 . Do not go to this hotel if you are under 60 !! You will look out of place or get stopped !! We paid over £900 pounds each to stay here !! How dare they discriminate!! . Then the boys room had a power cut , the door wouldn’t lock , and me and my husband had no tv for 2 days having asked several times . Food ok .. floor needs cleaning in the restaurant!! . On leaving they never asked about our stay just took the key cards etc horrible receptionists !! So upset as Fuengirola is beautiful. Jane the rep was amazing !! And we loved the day trip to Gibraltar !! .

Hotel ok , decent stay , stayed on 12th floor with Seaview, food average, staff service slow on occasion waiting over 40 minutes for drinks , snacks bar ok , pool area dangerous with wood flooring few people losing footing extremely slippery, no alcarte meal considering tui said entitled to one per stay , majority guests seems to be over 50 , Room ok however not 4 star shower room dated and marked in areas . on occasion staff rude if queried anything Location wise good
