This 4**** hotel attracts visitors who have been seduced by the charms of the coast. Of particular note are the panoramic views of the port, of the promenade and of the swimming pool. It's 184 rooms are the perfect place in which to relax after a day of activities. Advice to tourists and information about basic services provided. We also have Reading Room, Outdoor Summer Terrace, Games Room, Billiards and Discotheque.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I would say this hotel is generally fine and staff are very friendly but probably would have expected more considering the price. The hotel is in an excellent location and it’s clean enough. Although it looks modern on the surface, it was actually quite tired in places. The air conditioning was pretty poor and the unit was situated on the balcony which looked like it had seen better days and was absolutely filthy. The hotel reception was also very warm and didn’t seem to have much air conditioning which isn’t great when you’ve been out in the heat.
I did not personally have breakfast, but others in my group felt it was below expectations. We did have lunch at the pool bar on one occasion and would not choose to do so again. The food appeared to consist largely of frozen items cooked in oil that did not seem fresh, and the value for money was poor. We paid around €40 for chicken strips, chicken wings, and two portions of chips. The menu failed to mention that the chicken dishes already came with chips, meaning we unnecessarily ordered additional portions. I also noticed there chips, cooked/uncooked left out and not covered.
Another frustration was the bar opening times. The pool bar closed at 7:00 pm, while the lobby bar did not open until 7:30 pm. This left guests unable to purchase a drink anywhere in the hotel during that 30-minute period, which was inconvenient while we were waiting for other members of our group.
My main issue was the sun beds, we had been coming and going as we pleased apart from one day when we popped out for lunch to come back to find all our stuff had been removed from the sun beds and other people were using them. The staff advised that they will remove items after around 20mins, which hadn’t been the case in the days prior and there is no signage to advise that this would happen. We then did not have any sun beds when arriving back to the pool. I had noticed there were other sun beds unoccupied for longer than 20mins but there possessions have not been removed so there was a complete inconsistency in the approach.
The sun beds themselves are also a hazard as they are difficult to get on and off ans they seem to bend in the middle and extremely uncomfortable.
While the hotel has some positives, particularly its location and friendly staff, the overall experience did not justify the price paid. Based on this stay, I would likely choose a different hotel on a future visit.
This hotel is a great location. The rooms are of a decent standard, but could do with a bit of TLC. The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis, which you don’t always get these days. We stayed on a B&B basis, there was always plenty of choice, so no complaints there. The majority of the staff were polite and friendly. The pool is relatively small for the size of hotel and for most of our stay there was no issue getting a lounger around the pool. However, if the pool area is busy the pool staff will remove your stuff after 20 minutes and give your lounger away. This policy isn’t posted anywhere. We went for lunch after being on our loungers all morning, upon return, some 40 minutes later, our stuff had been removed from the loungers and dumped in the corner of the poolside bar. This policy seems to only apply to those who can’t speak a certain language, this also happened to another couple who where Irish. This policy certainly doesn’t apply to everyone. When I questioned the pool side staff saying others had been away from their loungers for a good 3hrs and their stuff hadn’t been removed they just shrugged their shoulders. If the hotel has a policy about this, it should be clearly visible and apply to everyone. I can see this causing issues during busy peak seasons. Very disappointing to what had been a pleasant stay.
Omg avoid!!! Staff rude…letting themselves into your room ..accusing you of allsorts!! Calling the police..then being man handled by them!!! Girls avoid I swear!! Probably not coming back to Spain again!!! Horrific experience and only day 1!!! Avoid…holiday ruined…rude staff who think it’s Ok to be rude and manhandling guests!!! Not ok never again
A really great choice of a hotel, reception staff so welcoming and friendly.
Our room on the 7 floor was cleaned to a high standard and the room maid was so nice.
Great location on the front overlooking the port the deluxe rooms have great sea views and a short walk across the road to the lovely beach.
Didn’t use the pool so cannot comment but it did look nice.
Breakfast is brilliant with so much choice really impressed and a nice quiet not like some hotels.
The bar is quite expensive for cocktails but they do have a happy hour.
Overall a great hotel great location and great stay.
We have visited the Fuengirola and Los Boliches area many times but thought we would give this stunning hotel a try as I was celebrating my retirement and wanted something nice. When booking my tour operator was unable to offer a sea view room, but advised they would note my request directly with the hotel. Obviously I am unsure if this happened as we didn't occupy a direct sea view, however, we were allocated a beautiful, immaculately clean room on floor 11 with a view over the marina. Was lovely to watch the morning and night activities of the area from the spacious balcony. We didn't have breakfast until the final day as we thought it a bit pricey however had we known about the 15% discount for just registering with the hotel we would have certainly used it - the choices are unbelievable!! From continental options, cereals, salad, cheeses, meats, fish, a full range of cooked including all types of eggs, bacon, sausage etc, juices, teas, coffees, cava - the blue is a defo to try. Then to finish it of these is a sweetie trolley. We were so impressed we decided to eat at the buffet dinner, again with 15%. The choice was again unbelievable and included a drink. Due to the space the pool can get busy and the usual towels left for hours with noone on the loungers for hours. Common problem as most hotels. The pool snack menu is plentiful but we didn't try it as again felt it was expensive for snacks. The lobby area is stunning with plenty of seats. During our stay there was world cup football games on, but never too busy. Overall a lovely stay and we will return and take advantage of the discount.
