We are currently at Leonardo Fuengirola. We are Leonardo members and very disappointed. We stayed many times when it was Florida hotel and although the lobby has been refurbished the pool area is scruffy and there is zero atmosphere in the bar in the evening. No entertainment and the bar doesn't open til 20.30 which is ridiculous. Who wants to have pre dinner drinks in the pool bar which is basically a canteen! Reception staff very mixed. We have been getting ice every afternoon for 3 days from reception and today, different staff, told us we had to go to the pool bar. Inconsistent and not customer friendly. Also, you have to pay ,,€10 each for a pool towel and if you want it changed you have to pay €1 for laundry! Not up to Leonardo hotel standards!

⭐ Fantastic Stay – Beautiful Hotel in a Perfect Location

We had a fantastic 7-night stay and overall couldn’t fault the hotel. The hotel itself is gorgeous — very clean, modern and really photogenic. Every time you walked through the doors there was a beautiful fresh aroma, and I loved the little touches, like the fruit-infused water in reception. There were also pool tables, books and plenty of comfortable areas to sit if you didn’t want to be outside. There’s also a spa with a great choice of treatments and facilities, although we didn’t use it during our stay.
The food was fantastic, with such a great choice that there really was something for everyone. The staff were all lovely, friendly and welcoming.
The location was perfect, right on the beach, with bars, restaurants, supermarkets and snack bars all nearby. It was also really easy to get an Uber or Bolt, which was handy.
The pool was fairly small, but we had no complaints as it was perfect for a dip and cooling off in the hot weather. The pool snack bar was great, with lots of cocktails and a really good food menu. There were some great deals too — you could get a kebab wrap with chips and a drink for €14.
There was music playing around the pool, which was just right — good background music without being too loud. Bali beds were available to hire for €25, including fresh fruit, cava and a blanket. We were perfectly happy with the normal sun loungers, though, and there were plenty available, so there was no need to get up early and reserve one. There were also plenty of parasols for shade.
The only downside for us was the housekeeping. The beds were always made, and we always had fresh towels and toilet roll, but the floor was never swept or washed during our stay. The coffee cups weren’t replaced, so we had to wash them ourselves in the bathroom sink. We only received new coffee pods once and used the same disposable stirrers throughout the 7 nights. The tissues and bathroom glasses were also never replaced once they ran out/needed changing. The balcony looked like it was only swept once, and the table and chairs were never cleaned.
This definitely didn’t ruin our holiday, but I do feel the housekeeping could have had a little more care and attention.
Overall, we absolutely loved our stay. The beautiful hotel, fantastic food, lovely staff and perfect location made for a brilliant holiday. The housekeeping could definitely have been better, but it honestly didn’t take away from our overall experience. We enjoyed the hotel so much that we would happily stay here again and would recommend it to others. ☀️🌴🍹

Ideal location, friendly staff and stunning views
Ideal location across from the marina, plenty of restaurants and pubs along the strip. The hotel itself was very clean, fresh towels and bedding everyday. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very nice plenty of everything was available and freshly cooked. The pool area was clean and it has a lovely little food area. We used the spa it is reduced price for guests. Hydrotherapy pool was relaxing and I definitely recommend a facial. The only reason I reduced a star was Ibecause I. didn’t eat lunch or dinner there so can’t comment on that and I personally would have liked a late check out option but it wasn’t available the morning I was due to checkout , but I think they can facilitate if you ask maybe before you check in.

Shocking
I stayed in this hotel last week and left a very expensive peace of jewellery behind iam for certain that I left it their and I also left my passport card their staff were very unhelpful when I required 5 hours later about the bracelet I was actually staying close by to the hotel as we decided to change locations so I took it upon myself to walk into the hotel and ask about the chain the staff were so unhelpful said “we have to wait for housekeeping” etc to see if it’s their when I certainly left it their absolutely disgraceful
