NO POOL
Very disappointed to find on arrival that the pool was closed. Apparently the holiday companies were informed prior to our arrival. I am still pursuing that avenue, 14 euro minimum for two to sit on the beach to have access to a swim, cool down and then feel leaving grubby and dirty covered in grit and pebble.

Another great stay
Great stay yet again Pool wasn’t open but the bar and sunbathing was on the roof so happy days Only booked bed and breakfast but all as usual. The staff are what makes this place 🫶

Noisy
Checked in to a room overlooking a car park, dated room and the carpets in the corridors are awful. However what happened next wasn’t the hotels fault but the couple next door, she obviously couldn’t wake her partner upon returning and kicked the door repeatedly and was swearing and shouting. He must’ve let her in as they proceeded to have loud “relations” for a while. We asked the receptionist to move the next morning and she was deadpan and rude but we did move. The room was better as it had a view of the marina unfortunately it also was near all the bars that were still pounding out the music at 6am. Still, we had hope as the photo of the pool area looked inviting, so we changed and went there only to discover it was cordoned off and empty and the sun was out at 27 degrees do we were angry as last minute.com hadn’t mentioned this. Ok, I know I’m sounding picky, I’m really not as I’m of the hey it’s only for sleeping in but let’s talk breakfast..is it just us Brits who are polite? This place seems full of people pushing past. Anyway, get to the food and it’s nearly cold so we found. microwave in the middle and used that. Never ever will we return here but I would like to say that the cleaning staff in the rooms are efficient and work hard

No swimming pool
I was not made aware that the pool would be closed when I booked my holiday. The staff were very rude about this .and almost found it funny that I did not check this .upon booking there is pictures of a lovely looking pool .when I looked back at my booking I found that if you click on the swimming pool icon I says pool is seasonal. I did not think to check as I naturally assumed that staying in a hotel in Spain in very hot weather that the pool would be open .I was informed by a gentleman that owns one of the apartments that the pool is in need of repairs. And has hardly been open for the last two years. The hotel is very dated. Although the cleaning staff do a very good job of keeping the rooms clean .as for the breakfast it all looks very nice and tasty although if it wasn't cold im sure it would be alot better .great location I will definitely be coming back .but not to this hotel. I will be making sure the next hotel actually has a swimming pool with water in it .overall very disappointed
Staff do their best but this hotel has had its day
Positive things were a quick and easy check-in, friendly helpful staff and very reasonably priced drinks, especially at happy hour. The room was also clean and a good size, if very dated. Fantastic location for exploring Fuengirola.
The breakfast was the worst I’ve ever had and the second day we paid to eat elsewhere. Food stone cold (not exaggerating), little variety and not appetising at all. The whole hotel needs updating, it’s very old and tired. The worst thing was that the pool area was closed and the pool emptied. Very disappointed with hotels.com for not making this clear (apparently it is in the terms and conditions that you can download that it may be “seasonal”) it’s mid October and 25 degrees, not the middle of winter. Pool bar closed, no music or atmosphere. Not what I expected from the glossy pool pictures. For €125 euros a night you can get much better in Fuengirola.
