Overlooking the picturesque harbour and 200 meters from the beach, Las Palmeras Affiliated by Fergus enjoys a privileged position in Fuengirola, right in the heart of the Costa del Sol. In this delightful location guests can truly relax and enjoy all that the hotel has to offer. Aside from lazing pool side under the Spanish sunshine, there's a great selection of facilities & day time activities to choose from. Whilst the hotel's evening entertainment is just as impressive, sampling the local colour and life couldn't be easier with plenty to see and do in the surrounding area.
I can't see why anyone would give this hotel a bad review. Its a great hotel to stay at. Location is ideal. Plenty of shops bars and restaurants within minutes of walking distance. The food is great. Always something you'd find to eat. The pool bar I found cheap. The pool bar staff work so hard especially in this blistering heat so don't forget as a good gesture to leave them a tip. Reception staff were always pleasant. Beach is literally just across the road. The only thing you may be able to complain about is the noise from the clubs early hours of the morning, but just buy some ear plugs and you'll be fine. Just remember the hitel can't control the noise outside of the hotel. The room was excellent with a big balcony. I was on the 8th floor so had a really good view of the marine and beach and mountains. All in all I had a brilliant time and would defo stay here again in the future.
We were a party of three women hoping for a relaxing 5 nights away. What we got.was a suite on 8th floor with airconditioning that blew hot air in 38 degrees. This is standard on floor 7 &8 apparently. We were offeres 2 pathetic fans that blew the hot air around the room, needless to say 5 nights of very little broken sleep. As the air con is centralised it couldnt be turned off. The excuse was that its very hot and the air con is having to work hard but we could have a glass of cava. The beds in the main bedroom were like concrete slabs and the sofa bed had the oldest thinest spring loaded pitiful excuse for a mattress. One of use slept on four cushions from the sofa placed on top of the sofa bed. There was rarely any hot water so very cold showers which even in the heat were not.pleasant. It was almost impossible.to get a sun lounger at the pool and the pool.looked gruby and cloudy. The staff mostly looked fed up which ia no suprise working in such a shabby hotel, they probably get fed up.with the complaints. The breakfast room was overcrowded and food very basic. When asking about a courtesy room for late evening fligh there was no booking system just pot luck. The location was great if you like scruffy run down bars, however the sea view was very nice. Thankfully we managed to.laugh and make the most of our time.away but we are going home feeling exhausted and like we need a holiday. Very disappointed!!

I looked for a cheap hotel on the front as a base as we were there for day trips out and only really needed somewhere to sleep so wasn’t an actual issue for us. It is loud if you have the balcony door open as there is a club opposite open to around 5.30 am and lots of screaming drunks, but with the door closed it is much quieter. Didn’t affect me but kids were woken up a few times. If I was to be more hotel based I would not choose this hotel.
Like it we will came back definitely 👍👍👍
There's such a mix of reviews on here that I thought i'd add my experience for balance.
We are staying on the second floor with a side sea view and pubs just opposite. After 3 nights I can say there's hardly any noise.
In the room there is a safe for hire, TV, fridge and adequate air conditioning. There is quite a large balcony. As a previous reviewer commented, a refurbishment would mean a higher price. Yes, it is true that there are threadbare carpets in hallway but everything is clean.
Bar currently has 2 for 1 drinks from 5 pm till 7pm (not on cocktails). So 2 rum/vodka and cokes are roughly 8 euros. Drinks are much stronger than the UK!
We are half board and food is good. Lots of variety at breakfast. Dinner always includes plain pasta with separate sauces. As a vegetarian there is enough basic choices, including some salads that do not include the ubiquitous tuna or meat! I particularly appreciated when there was spinach Cannelloni and rice with veg - more of this please.
Pool area is quite small for size of hotel but if you are there for 10 you will get a lounger. A lot of the loungers are not adjustable and none have any mattress on them.
Beach is lovely. Sunbeds are 8 euros and there are plenty available.
I would stay here again as it is perfect for a relaxed beach holiday.
