Apartamentos Nuria Sol

We were impressed with the size of our rooms. A large kitchen, living, dining room with all mod cons, a bathroom with a shower over the bath and a spacious double bedroom. There were plenty sun beds despite it being a very large hotel and the pool was never that busy that you couldn't have a swim. The location was very good, a 5 minute walk to the station and a 7 minute walk to the beach. Los Boliches is a great area with lots of bars cafes and restaurants to chose from

These apartments are aimed at middle aged/early retirees. The staff in reception are good. There is no lifeguard despite advertising it The cleaners are excellent, on arrival they explain that the cleaners only come every 3 days, because this is NOT a hotel. It is a self-catering serviced apartments block. I am surprised at some of the reviews judging this like hotels, when it is clearly not. We stayed in a studio apartment facing the main road. The kitchen is well equipped, and the kitchen/dinning/bedroom is all the one space. There is no sofa/living room. There is a separate shower room, and this lets the apartment down, as the shower has a tiny screen around it, there is NO bath but a huge bidet; along with toilet and sink. The supplied toiletries are dire, especially the soap that actually dries your hands. My daughter is a tiny size 6 and struggled to get inside the shower because of the glass screens. I am a huge size 20 I had so go in sidewards and force myself in. The shower/bathrooms desperately need an upgrade. It is almost unworkable. There is a small balcony, but it is very noisy due to traffic noise. Regular visitors request pool side rooms for the quiet. Unfortunately building work has started next door for new courts and a leisure centre until middle of 2028. If booking do not accept an outside room as all you will get is building noise. The pool, although unmanned is not deep ony about 1 meter but has a disabled seat access for swimming and stairs to enter the pool. There is a separate baby pool behind. There is a defunct sauna used as a store room There is a toddlers play ground and a ‘beach’ area for sunbeds. The pool bar is utterly awful. No one works there, despite being loads of tables and people drinking. After half a week I spoke to regulars who advised that You have to go inside and order and take everything outside yourself. Average price for a wine in the area is E3.5, but at the hotel is E4 and it is quite rough. Also, I went at 10pm one night and it was dead. There was a member of staff on who refused to open the doors even though it does not close until 10.30pm because it was quite and he told me he did not want to serve anyone! Best avoided. Incorporated in the building is a Mercadona supermarket (bit like Sainsburys).Great cheap alcohol, but food is a bit expensive compared to other supermarkets such as Maxi Dia – although they do do some gluten free food. The reception staff are excellent, knowledgeable and very friendly. Main issue with the apartments is that they are up a hill out of town. It is a 15 minute walk from the train station and a 20-minute walk from the beach. The nearest pharmacy is a 20-minute walk. This is not the place if you have mobility problems as the walk is a killer on the lower back and then the apartments are in 5 blocks containing a total of 300 rooms. Please note they are NOT in Fuengirola they are a train stop away at Los Boliches. Honest review

I’m not a snob but I do expect a clean room, The room was not clean and fresh There was a lot of hair in the bathroom, along with grime in the shower and bathroom floor food in corners of the living area floor , dusty surfaces , clean linen we took our own glad we did after reading reviews The rooms are very tired and dated , the air con unit needed a freshen up too We bought cleaning wipes to clean it all sadly . The supermarket underneath is amazing they sell everything you need and it’s cheap. The beach is a short walk away , and it’s beautiful that’s where we spent our days. The pool isn’t that great and the area is too crowded for me . For a cheap 4 nights it was ok, wouldn’t stay there again. Fuengirola is lovely, the bars and restaurants are great , not rowdy not dead it’s perfect Loved the resort
