The Angela Hotel has its mojo back!!
Just landed after 2 weeks at the Angela Hotel. I had vowed it would be our last visit as our 2025 visits left a little to be desired but I am pleased to say - ITS GOT ITS MOJO BACK!
Staff seem happier, the food is superb after a very wobbly 2025 (well done for listening), cleaning has improved. A really big WELL DONE!!
I still miss seeing name badges as I then have to ask for everyones name but a shout out to Carmen on Reception, a great addition who really helped dad and I. The restaurant staff - Luis and all others I did not get a name from worked like trojans - everyone single one of them knew what we liked, advised and guided on the wine list and were generally FANTASTIC. Chef and Kitchen Staff - wow - you really pulled it out of the bag - the food was the best I've had here in years - a very very big well done and thank you! Bar staff - Veri? and another Luis I believe didn't even ask what I wanted, they knew - thank you to ALL the hard workers in the bar - stars!
Cleaning staff - a big shout out to you unsung heroes.
What can I say - the Angela Hotel has really pulled it out of the bag - I couldn't fault a thing and would be back tomorrow if I could.....

I was a little tentative booking after reading some of the reviews but I needn't have been. We got the train from the airport to Los Boliches (stop before Fuengirola) only costing around 5 euros and walked down to the front, only taking us 10 mins to reach the hotel, did the same on the return journey early morning. We were early checking in and were made very welcome by a lovely gentleman at reception. He said our room would be ready in an hour, pointing us to the left luggage room and giving us directions to the pool area should we wish a drink etc. The pool area was lovely with plenty of sunbeds mid afternoon. The staff were lovely and welcoming. Beach towels supplied free of charge, When our room was ready it was lovely with a pool view. It was cleaned every day with fresh towels if we so wished. Breakfast was lovely, a big selection of cooked and continental and although busy at times, there was always tables and lots of staff milling around to clear and replenish. Plenty of sunbeds available so need to set the alarm, with a happy hour every day between 12- 1pm. A lovely roof top bar if you wished a change of scene and if you paid 15 euros each you could use the sunbeds and pool for the day which we did on one occasion. Hotel is very central with a taxi rank outside. My partner played golf a few times so this was convenient. I wouldn't hesitate to book the Angela again on a bed and breakfast basis, only because we like to eat out at night. Lovely staff and spotlessly clean. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Fantastic time
Fantastic location. Hotel lovely. Staff super friendly. All meal choices were amazing. Didn't know what to expect as 2025 reviews weren't great but the hotel has clearly improved. Rooms cleaned daily. Only fault was not having access to room fridge without having to pay for it.

We stayed her last year the hotel is lovely location is central staff are friendly and helpful maria in reception is exceptional her customer service is excellent goes over and above last year there was a few issues with the pool area and the restaurant so i can say there is defo enough sunloungers now even though i thought the restaurant food was good last year it is now improved this year my only gripe with the hotel is at breakfast there is tea/coffee hot water and cold water but at dinner there is nothing you have to pay for water tea/coffee yes if you want a drink you pay that fair but its says its a 4 star hotel i think its more like a 3 star plus due to no water tea/coffee at dinner and then it would be a 4 star this is important to your customers its the little things that matter room 117 29th june x 7 nights😎😀
The best hotel
Just got back from the hotel Angela. The place is fantastic spotlessly clean. Nice friendly staff. The best location straight opposite the beach. The food at this hotel is some of the best we have had can't fault anything about it will definitely be back.
