Great hotel, stunning views, will be back!
2nd visit to Benalmadena but 1st to SBC. Brillaint hotel, good location, great views (pick a Sea view IMO) Hotel, is very clean, facilities great, bars nice, pools superb, overall just a really good hotel. Cant think of any Negatives from our stay. Rooms are well equipped and there is evening entertainment for those that want it. Highly recommend for any age group. Our visit in October I'd say was about 50% over age 50 holidaymakers but that meant that come midnight you had peace to sleep, rooms are also well sound proofed. Various pools for kids, then a big pool for all but with no games so ideal for adults. We stayed in a Junior suite that was comfortable for 2 adults and 2 children (13 & 16) 2 slept in the bedroom and the main room sofa turned into either a double or 2 single beds. We will definitely be back in 2027.

Noisy, crowded. Won’t be back.
If you’re able to sleep through noise, great. If not, avoid this hotel. On our first night, we asked to move rooms because we were on the same floor (5th) as the entertainment center. The music was so loud. The hotel accommodated our room move the next day, but even then, the noise from the guests and lifts and children is unbearable.
Good location. Bus stop to Malaga etc is right outside the hotel. Amazing promenade if you’re a runner/walker.
Our shower leaked and they only came to fix after we called a second time. The repair men did not speak English and couldn’t understand us. Our shower was never right and we used towels to mop up the water on the floor each day until we left.
Supermarket close to hotel so we bought groceries and cooked a couple of times. Kitchenette is very small. No counter working space.
Guests are treated according to “levels”. We had the RCI treatment so our room was only cleaned twice. RCI in South Africa, the room is cleaned daily.
Forget about a pool chair. Unless you “reserve” a chair with towels in the morning like most people, you won’t find an empty one. We walked around the pool area a few times with no luck.
Room felt cheap. Dirty. Uncomfortable.

We’re just back from 8 nights in the Sunset Beach Club… I wanted to take the time to write this review as I’ve seen a few negative ones recently and I couldn’t have had a more opposite experience.
We arrived late evening and the checkin was great, the staff were lovely.
We stayed in a Garden Suite and it was just fabulous. We had 2 adults, 2 kids (5 and 6) and a 4 month infant. Our room was exceptionally spacious and the garden was a fantastic additional space as I’m always nervous of balconies with young kids.
We never waited too long for the lifts as the pool, bars, kids club, gym and supermarket were on our level.
The extra touches such as the heated towel rail, the bottle of wine waiting for us, the exceptional cleaning staff, air con that actually cools the room, English channels on the tv, being able to sign into our Netflix, taxis outside the hotel and always free sunbeds, laundrette on site, to name a few.
The atmosphere was very family friendly and we never had any issues with noise at night.
The location was a little away from the centre of things but within 12 mins walk to the souvenir shops. Burger King across the road as well as a shop (Dia). We mostly used the supermarket in hotel as they had such a selection of items (from home) which was lovely.
One thing that struck me was the amount of people that had previously stayed in the hotel and return every year… that speaks for itself.
To summarise, we had a fabulous time and we will definitely return in the future :)

Very disappointing experience
We stayed here as a family with three children, including a 1-year-and-3-month-old baby. While we were still preparing to leave, housekeeping entered and started cleaning the kitchen, making us feel rushed and uncomfortable.
After checking out on 1 October, I realised I had left five branded, expensive items of clothing in a drawer. I am 100% certain they were there. A friend still at the hotel contacted housekeeping within a couple of hours, but none of the items were found.
Despite repeated communication, the General Manager refused to accept any responsibility and maintains the clothes were never there, without providing any satisfactory explanation for their disappearance.
The hotel offered a meal as a goodwill gesture, but this did nothing to address the situation, as we were already staying in another hotel and had meals included. Extremely disappointing handling of the matter and a complete loss of trust. I would not stay here again!!!

Sunset beach club
Had a wonderful week there just got back today and already thinking of rebooking.We’ve been at least 8 times and always look forward to going back .Love to see all the lovely weddings everyone cheers the bride and groom on as they cross the bridge .We’ve seen one every day.. We had a prime view room we always like to Listen to the sea at night … It was my birthday while we was away and I had a bottle of champagne on the house that was a lovely suprise . The rooms have all had a makeover they look lovely .. Staff very friendly can’t fault anything about the Sunset
