Hotel Best Benalmadena

The hotel is in a lovely quiet location a good 40 minute pleasant walk to the beautiful harbour. Our room had a great view and was very clean, likewise we thought on the whole the hotel was clean. Breakfast very nice, set you up for the day, found all staff to be friendly and pleasant. Pool area perfect for our group of 16 friends. Unfortunately at least 5 of the group was struck down by severe vomiting that lasted 36 hours. Being positive we tried to defend the hotel saying it must be from catching something outside. Until yes you guessed it both my wife and I were struck down just as we left the hotel yesterday and we had a trip from hell going home , being sick in airport, plane and in my new car driving around M25. Not very pleasant, both off work today , in education so off work for 48 hours . Such a shame, but I now admit there is something wrong at this hotel, due to previous reviews we was sanitizing all day long but it got us in the end. Please hotel take your head out of the sand and get some testing done, we think it is Norvovirus… They say you would know if you had that we certainly do. Again such a shame as the place , hotel all be it a little dated is very good. Thankyou.

Fabulous Location for us as bus stops outside very Cheap to travel around with green bus card friendly,rooms large 2 double beds good bathrooms but could do with updating needs full refurbishment leak in ceiling had been patched up leaking all night had to get up and put waste bin under it and towels down to mopup the flood it was repaired next day staff very helpful 😀 food ok for what you pay .I hope management take my next comment very seriously. I have read many comments about the the standard of cleanliness in this hotel people were blaming the staff but they are cleaning all the time I would the guests are responsible for a for a lot or it I noticed the hand wash was on the check In at the restraunt not in the door way as you enter the restraunt I observed guests going into the restraunt many times very few cleaned their hands I mentioned this to the guy that I think was restraunt manager but he just surged his shoulders people were going to buffet tables and touching the food .

A great holiday at the best Benalmadena. We stayed as bed and breakfast - breakfast was good Selection. Hotel location is great - next to a lovely little beach and great restaurant -La Carla- other beaches/cafes and shops on the main strip short walk. Taxi ride to Marina only 7/8 euros and comes within 5 mins once called from reception (apart from market day Friday) this has great shops/restaurants aquarium and lots of boat excursions. Hotel room cleaned every day and great views- has little fridge and kettle. Evening entertainment was great- we came back most nights for some Drinks and watched shows (ranged from flamenco dancing/magic shows/singers) the drinks very reasonable and lots of choice! Hotel staff are very friendly and hard working - Special shout out to Barman Mike! What a superstar- so Friendly and attentive! Pools are cleaned and levels checked regularly really good for kids as it’s not too deep- Sunbeds are also sprayed/cleaned daily and are in good condition- Many thanks to all at Best Benalmadena!
