Get a room in a high floor
The plus sides:- Good location. reception, bar and pool are very clean. 24 hour small shop selling all essentials. Inexpensive. Friendly staff. Good Wi-Fi. The down sides:- No sleep. Noise till stupid o'clock every night. Need to pay daily for sun loungers. While I am not a "bed at 9pm grandma", neither am I a "24 hour party girl". The issue with our room was it was on the first floor, directly above the bar's karaoke and facing a very noisy street. While I can cope with the basicness of the rooms (it was cheap), the lack of sleep meant that I had max 4 hours sleep a night (using ear plugs) This is not a child friendly hotel.
Another great stay
Value for money apartments, no frills but clean and well positioned in the resort. Bar staff are the best ever and they do great value meals. My 10th stay here and it never fails to impress.
Pleasantly surprised
Budget friendly basic accommodation. Didn’t have high hopes based on the price but was pleasantly surprised. All the key things you would want from accommodation were provided - clean apartment, good WiFi, air con, power shower, powerful hairdryer, kitchen facilities incl fridge to keep the drinks ice cold, tv with English channels. Little shop on site and staff v friendly. Location was fab. Only downside as others have mentioned was the noise. I was on the second floor and could hear the noise from the bar below, as well as my neighbours in rooms beside me into the small hours which did impact sleep, but for the price I paid I could put up with it.
What a place !
Just got back from a long weekend for my Stag do. Fantastic hotel right in the mixer, lovely place if you like green tables and chairs oh and the odd Irish bar. The sofa bed was abit too big for me and really really comfortable. Be warned the hotel is at the top of a steep hill so the oxygen at that altitude is abit sparse but great hotel and the staff were absolutely lovely X
Horrendous
Here now holiday has been horrendous Hotel full of screaming foul mouthed yobs paid €1090 for this could have stayed in bonanza Square for €470 but stayed here before but never again it's obvious profit is more important than customers satisfaction rate the Doramar 3/10 and never been in a hotel where the bar closes completely on a Wednesday ,.
