Lovely clean hotel and rooms great views , ok check in and out , breakfast good drinks ok lunch ok dinner tried twice in five days bit of a mish mash, ate in local Italian 3 nights , refused entry to 2 à la carte restaurants even though they were empty, the beach one the girl took great pleasure in turning 6 of us away very disappointed because we were only 5 nights and not 7
The staff are good , apart from the security, at midnight they come in very aggressive and demand you leave your drink and get inside, it is very intimidating at a family hotel when people are just chatting ,we understand the terrace and bar close at 12 but their attitude is disgraceful, we have never experienced this behaviour before that alone would put you off going back.
The whole beach and pool and bar situation is all wrong , you need to pay for sunloungers on the beach and you can’t get even a water until 11 am , the pool is a walk away it dosnt open until 10 and you can’t get a drink until 11 , the adult only area small and completely shaded therefore you have to walk to 7th floor for water and if you ask at the lobby bar before 10 they chase you away , they have water at reception it’s still a walk away and not always full , we rarely used lifts as they are so small and hot for the size of the hotel they only take 4 people.
All in all us 6 had a great time we didn’t spend all our time at the hotel even though we were all inclusive, in future back to Greece for proper all inclusive where you can book different restaurants and sun beds on the beach are comfy and included , unfortunately won’t be back to Benalma Hotel
I was all inclusive for 5 nights here with my husband and two other couples. The hotel was lovely and all the communal areas were stylish and clean and our superior room had a lovely sea view. The drinks were fine though the bar areas didn’t open until 11 am and u couldn’t even get a water until then. It also closed at midnight on the dot where security guards with truncheons and handcuffs came out on the terrace and shouted aggressively for everyone to get out. It was the most disrespectful thing I’ve ever experienced as a tourist to be treated like a hooligan/criminal. The rooftop bar was also not included in the all inclusive and neither were the beach bar diner for lunch or the Thai restaurant for dinner. The food was a bit of a strange one. The breakfast and lunch seemed pretty good but dinner was awful so we ate out 3 nights. So while we all had a good time we would defo not return as the overall experience had too many negatives which is such a shame as it was a lively place to stay
Lovely clean hotel food nice drinks okay Pool a bit off a walk from the hotel so anyone who as walking difficulties not for you as when you come back from the pool there is a steep incline back into the hotel Also theres nothing much round it just the one shop & a pizza restaurant to go in to Benalmedena its about 10 euro for a taxi or if you go to the marina its 12 euro Also the sky bar you have to pay for drinks although its beautiful up there Won't be returning again with the steep inclines & struggling to walk
It's an awful hotel in the middle of nowhere the so called sky bar is a bar but no one serves you ignorant Spanish girl would not recommend to my worst enemy
Firstly the hotel lobby is clean and rooms clean and modern ,food was nice BAD POINT the pools and having to pay for extra things like drinks in the roof bar cocktails are not all inclusive. Pools are dirty and cagged in with Hugh fence and gates adult pool dirty with hardly any beds and most of the are broken and sagging ,they dont open till 10 and its a rush for a good lounge or u get stuck under a tree on a broken bed and pool closes at 6 .tje hotel isiddle of nowere £20 to harbour which isnt worth the visit, they seem day pages to the public so the pools are full with no beds for guests. The beach has no loungers for hotel guests u have to pay .12am everything closes and the security chase u all out the bar ....I will never return the hotel could do better nut the have no clue ...they mark your room number when hoing for breakfast lunch dinner everyone was asking why when we all have bands on ,you need to Q to give your room number. But she could be clearing tables or something instead 🤔 One day the tables were all dirty and instead of clearing them the staff were filling the sugar bowls which really baffling to use like I say they have no clue and it shows
